My new favorite place. Their website is very misleading I thought it was going to be super upscale fancy expensive not my type of place. Turns out it's a very relaxed spot to chill on the long picnic tables and talk with friends over some grilled eats and German beer. Order an awesome brat with sauerkraut, hit the mustard bar and wash it down with German beer by the big liter stein. Can't wait to go back.

Great food and great times were had, but the server only came to our table to take our initial order, then to bring us our food. I had to go to the bar for every round after that. It was not busy, but they may have been understaffed? It was still a great experience either way!

Radegast might be my favorite European beer garden. The atmosphere is great with seating both inside as well as an open airy side room and there is live music on Fridays and on weekends. The servers are usually busy as the place can get pretty crowded since it s a popular neighborhood dig and frequented by many tourists, but you can seat yourself. There is great variety of European beers and the variety of smoke fired sausage from the outside grill inclusive of brat, currywurst, and kilbasa. There are some good menu options, I love the schnitzel! From time to time they have some game meat such as rabbit, venison and buffalo. I would highly recommend this place especially for a group outing with friends or even coworkers.

german style, german beers, a real beer garden! the specials are a good option, the food is amazingly tasty. The 1 liter drinks are very cheap. The jazz or swing bands are always playing enjoyable music perfect for dancing

This place is absolutely one of my favorite in the city, the burgers from the back grill are simply the BEST I'VE EVER HAD. The beer selection is huge and the menu changes with the seasons so one can always enjoy a different beer. The service can however spread a bit thin when the place is packed, but other than that, this place is awesome.

Belgian and european-focused beer selections with a typical biergarten menus. Awesome cocktails too. The crowd is fitting for Williamsburg and you will be able to catch some cool brass bands playing daily!

Radegast offers a large selection of Germain biers, further enhanced by the fact that you can purchase them by the liter. There are two menus, one from the restaurant that offers a full menu with apps/entrees (and the best steak tartar around), and another from the Biergarten/grill area with sausages and the like. After our meal there, the waiter was cool with us sticking around for drinks while playing a board game- so kudos to the super friendly and accommodating staff!

A really nice large center bar, and a couple of large rooms with communal tables give it a cool indoor beer hall. The wide selection of German and Belgium beers, and some unique food items add to the experience.

The place is excellent to sit with friends, drink amazing beers, eat brats and talk. Went to watch European Championships match (Germany vs Italy) there, the screen could have been placed better but good atmosphere and hardly any place to move. Mind you, it is recommended to get there at least 1.5 hours before the match if you want s good start

Always busy and best to go with groups. If you can't afford to go to Germany for Oktoberfest then get similar drunken experience here with your Williamsburg hipsters mixed in.

Beers are slightly overpriced but you're going for the experience and atmosphere. If you wanna go all out and show off then get yourself huge glass mugs to bang with your friends. No lie it's kinda fun for great Instagram pictures.

The food is also pricy but delicious! Sausages, pretzels, spicy mustard and schnitzel to help sober you up.

A major plus is the Saturday DJ that plays other popular music besides your typical German polka.

A great place to chill with friends. They have swing dance music at least once a week and if you like to drink beer AND dance, this is a great place for you. Also great to not dance. I only wish the beers were cheaper.

Radegast has the potential to be my favourite rest...

Radegast has the potential to be my favourite restaurant in Brooklyn. But why the three star review you ask?
What I love about Radegast is its unpretentiousness. It does not plug the Lederhosen Bavarian vibe to its Nth degree as so many of these German beer halls do. Yet the sausage platter with 7 different mustards and a 10inch (fresh as hell) pretzel, is to die for. The ambiance is relaxed yet viby, especially once high falls and the main hall dims down to the perfect light tone.
My huge issue with Radegast at the moment is the plastic cups and utensils. I have noticed many establishments doing this recently. It is a way of saving money on cleaning staff. But it is really quite a shame to see. Especially as one would imagine the Williamsburg clientele are quite concerned about the state of things environmentally (or at least think they are) and then this place goes cheap and uses a plastic cup for EVERY guests water. How many cups is that a day.
Sounds like a small thing but it adds up. It reflects a little badly on the establishments values.
This should not dissuade you from visiting this lovely place however. But you should consider mentioning the plastic to the server, maybe they'll get the point and make a change.

My second time at a Biergarten! This place is so great! I took off a star because it was crowded as hell and I'm pretty sure that it is some sort of fire hazard to have so many people that I feel like I'm suffocating in their air. ANDDD it's kind of on the expensive side. Regardless, I'd probably go again because I had such a great time here.

My bf and I shared the sausage platter and fries ($29+$6). The sausages were all tasty and their mustard and sauerkraut went well together.

Honestly I don't remember what drink I had. Something with Apple, and citrus. Don't even remember but I've tried my bf's and the group we went with and all their drinks were on point.

It's such a happy great biergarten to stop by if you're around the area. And even if you're not, you definitely should make a trip down here!

I've always loved this venue. Spacious and perfect for a light meal and some conversation. Or go in hard and heavy with tons of sausage and the incredible bar selection. Live music plays sometimes. I miss the venison they used to have seasonally.

Excellent relaxed atmosphere. Sat by the front gate, had a kielbasa and hofbrau on a relaxing summers evening. The chatter of people and band playing a breezy jazz number made for a chill vibe. Breeze coming through gate helped complete atmosphere. Based on first experience would come back and recommend. I'm sure the atmosphere would be a little different in winter. Would have to come back. But think it's great hang out spot with friends.

As a German, I must say this is a pretty authentic Biergarten! Super crowded and loud on weekends, but that's part of the experience. They had a live brass band playing which was a lot of fun. We enjoyed our time and will come back!

The grill in the communal area of this cavernous yet classy biergarten churns out pretty blase German grill fare (think sausages and such). But the menu in the table service interior is rich and interesting, for both dinner and brunch. And the beer is awesome and served by the liter.

Good food, very good music, good beer, good. Staff.
Nice place to speak with your friend in front of a big beer thinking at the beautiful moment the life reserved you: bad moments for bad beer, not in this place.
