Radegast has the potential to be my favourite rest...

Radegast has the potential to be my favourite restaurant in Brooklyn. But why the three star review you ask?
What I love about Radegast is its unpretentiousness. It does not plug the Lederhosen Bavarian vibe to its Nth degree as so many of these German beer halls do. Yet the sausage platter with 7 different mustards and a 10inch (fresh as hell) pretzel, is to die for. The ambiance is relaxed yet viby, especially once high falls and the main hall dims down to the perfect light tone.
My huge issue with Radegast at the moment is the plastic cups and utensils. I have noticed many establishments doing this recently. It is a way of saving money on cleaning staff. But it is really quite a shame to see. Especially as one would imagine the Williamsburg clientele are quite concerned about the state of things environmentally (or at least think they are) and then this place goes cheap and uses a plastic cup for EVERY guests water. How many cups is that a day.
Sounds like a small thing but it adds up. It reflects a little badly on the establishments values.
This should not dissuade you from visiting this lovely place however. But you should consider mentioning the plastic to the server, maybe they'll get the point and make a change.
