Super friendly and helpful, met my needs quickly and found a solution over the phone for an issue I had

My favourite place, staff are all lovely and friendly and they meet my expectations!

Hi I have been a member of the RAC for years and up until now I ve had a great service BUT last month had a breakdown and I was left for 7 hours before the police who were looking for me as my mum was frantic and finally a taxi turned up
I was on my own and am registered disabled with MS which they knew
I was freezing and scared :(

They had changed the terms and conditions without my acknowledgment for the policy renewal. They would not give me a full refund even though it was within 14 day cooling of period and there original terms stats they give you a full refund. I believe this is not legal practice. Do not trust this company.

When I got my documents I realised the van wasn't included and so I paid extra. For commercial
4 5 months later I called them as I had put petrol inside of desai in my van i called and was told this was not covered but they will get someone out in the next 4 hour to me i asked the cost they said they could tell me .I said I have to know the cast first they see it was several hundred pounds i then Google a local company that came out in 20 mins and was a fraction of the cost

The website is brilliant and easy to sign up but for call outs im disgusted. Today is the 22.1.2020, ive been waiting since the 18.1.2020 for ky car to be recovered and taken to a garage.. Everyday the phone calls have been a groundhog day of "we'll be out today within 3-4 hours,, And we'll keep in contact with you to keep you updated".. Had none of that and 4 days later still waiting for my car to be picked up!!!!.... NOT IMPRESSED!!!!....

22 July 2020 broke down on way home just before 10 pm. Called RAC and advised no
One in area so would send a third party company to attend. They were quickly on site but advised me that i needed a recovery truck to get me home. It is now 12.30am and i am still sat in dark on country road and don't know when I am getting recovered. I phoned RAC for update and was advised still no one in area and couldn't give me update. My wife and children are concerned for my wellbeing and can't sleep due to worry. I don't mind the wait, it's the NO update and lack of action from RAC. I have always previously found RAC to be reliable, i know covid 19 will play a part to longer waits but I dissspointed by service.

Went for a bank holiday day trip with the wife and kids and due to heavy traffic I accidently reverse into a gatepost sending a shower of glass all over my kids in the back! when I was sold full cover they stated that if glass brakes due to a collision they would recover the car and pasingers! I called and a arrogant male on the phone stated that a callout and recovery would be billed to my insurance and my no claims would be lost sending further premiums rocketing! I was stuck with young kids a disabled wife and glass falling from the broken window and the RAC refused a fully payed up member any help I was forced to drive 25 miles home at low speed with glass blowing around the car and hitting my kids. Why am I paying for assistance if I must sort myself and family out after a collision

Left my Disabled mum on the side of the road like roadkill.
They towed her car to the garage but left her.
I have complained but wasnt satisfied with their response.

Avoid !
As they are a big company I would of imagined a much better service.

I can't thank Paul Bangham ( and the RAC) enough. After a slightly ropey quick exit off the motorway with a smoking engine I managed to pull my van over to safety. I had gone off to find a coffee expecting the recovery van to be ages and by the time I got back he had already arrived. He quickly identified the problem and went off to get a replacement fan belt. What could have been extremely stressful was resolved much quicker than expected, without being towed away and with great service. This guys deserves employee of the week! #veryhappycustomer #hurrayformechanicsforsavingtheday

Unbelievably managed to get the fuel knozzle stuck in the fuel filler.....after many attempts and others helping we resorted to calling for help....Our knight in shining armour arrived having struggled through Bristol in high temperatures at the beginning ofBank Holiday weekend to rescue us on the forecourt.....He arrived with a smile and was wonderful...... problem solved and we were on our way.......I think the fuel station were a bit relieved too!!! Thank you so much for an outstanding service delivered with good humour and kindness.....it turned a bad start to our day to a good one Julia and Rachael

Very unhappy with my experience with RAC today. Called them at 1.48pm. I finally arrived home at 8pm. Totally unacceptable. Both the initial RAC responder and the tow truck driver were great people but the service is just not good enough. As a disabled driver, having to sit in my car for 5+ hours waiting was not good.

So far my husband & I have spent over 7 hrs waiting to be "rescued " by the RAC. We 1st rang them at 16.20 this evening & so far have been transported from Bracknell to Leigh Delamare . We have now been left stranded in the car park for about 90 mins with still no sign of further help Absolutely appalling service!

Avoid at all cost. Disgraceful, shameful, horrendous service. I was left for 14 hours on M1 they did nothing for me.my son eventually rescued me at 4am

Always a delight to visit HQ. A hive of efficient activity.

Absolutely useless company, disgusting customer service, not one person has your details on a screen, we waited over 20 hours and not one call or email to update us, we were passed on to at least 15 different people in the end that I can safely say had 1 brain cell between them, don't waste your time or money with these absolute idiots, use a different company I strongly advise.

Possibly the worst service provided by a breakdown company in 20yrs of motoring.

My car broke down in my garage an I called RAC for help an they said they will come at 9pm, instead they came over 30mins late with no phone calls to explain why they were late at all or any apologies from them.

Then when the RAC tech came he did not know how to work on my car an he said " he has not worked on this type of car so he does not know what is doing and can't help" then he left me alone on the roadside.

Called RAC back to arrange recovery of the car to which they replied they will call me back in 10mins with ETA but only for 30mins to go by and I had no calls so I called again!

Then I was advised it would take a minimum of 3 hrs for recovery to arrive which means I would be up till 2am waiting for them but they could not answer a simple question which was when recovery arrives will they be able to get the car out of gear and move it.

I replied back and said that it's going to take to long so I am going home as you have wasted 3hrs of my time already.





I will be leaving as many reviews as I can on social media to expose The shocking service from the RAC.

Rubbish! Is what I can say I broke down got the vehicle in my drive got in the house phoned rac then they said ok be with you in 90 minutes I said ok, then they called me back 40 minutes later to say sorry not able to make it to you now can we book you in between 8 and 12 the next morning ? what the hell I told them this is no good I need recovery to the garage they are awaiting delivery tofix the car rac said tough and hung up!
I called them back and asked for a hire car automatic diesel and big enough for me and the wife s wheel chair, got told we don t cover for disabled get your own car!
2 calls every day for 4 days then told I m going to hang up now, your wasting our time ..left like a prisoner in my home.
Well guess what the car is at the garage and they say RAC broke our car and the fault was caused by them on the road side.
Also they will not be getting money out of us they can stick the rac disabled discrimination idiots and to top it off they leave you as a pensioner vulnerable on the road side. Nasty peace of work ..
Take note of the name RAC see you in court disabled discrimination , to start with failure on contract and breach of contract!!!!!
