On the whole, this was a really nice meal. We went for the tasting menu... Which is very filling. I would highly recommend Quilon for a special occasion.

The price is as you would expect for a Michelin Starred restaurant.

Great selection of beers.. in fact there is a beer tasting menu if you like your beers!

We started with a traditional Indian cocktail, spicy and sweet. Food was presented beautifully, spice level was adjusted as requested and dishes were all outstanding. The service was spot on and you could tell the chef cared about what was cooked, served and presented to his guests. The cauliflower appetizer was fried perfectly without being oily. The fisherman's platter was a lovely assortment of spiced shrimp, halibut, fish cake, and scallop. The Lamb Bryianni was tasty and the salt and pepper prawn was massive and cooked to perfection. We finished with the pistachio cake which was light, flavorful and a nice finish to the meal. Manager and staff were outstanding!

I really loved the food here. The flavours are so rich, and a lot of love has gone into the food. The atmosphere is very romantic with dark lighting, prices are high but I would go again just to taste the flavours and to enjoy this high quality of Indian food. The cocktails are also excellent.

Worthy of a 2 star review, not a 1 Michelin star!

We had booked this restaurant for a special occasion, however it failed to deliver.

From waiting over 30minutes to order a drink to tasteless food.

I can honestly say there was one great waiter and the rest were only available to help with food to the table or to ask if everything was ok once the food had arrived.

Dishes tasted:

Starter:
Chicken Cafreal - Had great flavour, but lacked spice.

Southern S-a-a-t - A great twist on an Indian classic especially the fried idli bits.

Crispy Okra - There was no taste to the batter, making these just deep fried in flour and pointless.

Main dishes:
Chicken pepper masala - big chicken pieces in a very peppery sauce. Average.

Sides / accompaniments:
Malabar Paratha - a great accompaniment
Tawa Paratha - a great accompaniment. A little on the dry side.

Dessert:
Pistachio cake - The standout dish of the evening. Cake was full of flavour, the ice cream was great and worked well with the cake.

Masala Tea - rich with cardamom and a perfect pairing to the pistachio cake.

Overall not worthy of the price. There are plenty more Indian restaurants that provide flavourful dishes. It does seem like they hadn t best planned for post COVID dining in. Seating people in the same area. Staff were no where to be seen.

All opinions are this of my own experiences.

Lamb Kotthu was divine. Service is spectacular. Lamb shank left much to be desired it lacked a depth of flavour and stronger spice profile. Malabar paratha was too flaky, almost to the point that it couldn't be used to scoop curry before disintegrating--either it wasn't freshly prepared or something else.

We visited on a Tuesday evening for a birthday dinner. I'm sad to say that the entire experience was deeply disappointing. First, before deciding to book the restaurant I sent an email to ask for additional information which was ignored by More
