From the moment I stepped foot onto the front porch of this beautiful home tucked into the woods of rural central Minnesota, I knew I was entering a very special place. This being a place where terminally ill people come to live out their last days with their loved one's by their side, while having all their needs met by the incredibly compassionate & knowledgable staff and it's many devoted volunteers. All are dedicated to the care & comfort of the residents & their families . Care, nurturing & even home cooked meals are offered to every person; family, friends, and visitors along with the residents.
Upon entering you are drawn in by the large, gorgeous, dining room with a piano, harp, fireplace and plenty of comfy seating for all to relax, enjoy & share a delicious home cooked meal lovingly prepared by the volunteer staff
Families are encouraged to come, day or night. They're also welcome to stay overnight with their loved one either in their room or in one of the lovely guest suites.
The home sits on ten acres, surrounded by it's many gardens, walking trails, a pond, a quaint cottage and lots of wildlife. There's 8 private resident rooms with large picture windows to enjoy the views, along with 4 well appointed guest suites.
If you or your loved one are in need of hospice, do yourself a favor and visit Quiet Oaks. You will find peace, love, caring and understanding within this very special place. You will be blessed upon entering Quiet Oaks.
A special thank you to Linda Allen (Executive Director) for the invitation to visit & receive a personal tour. Also, thank you to the volunteers for the delicious dinner I had while I was there. What a great meal I had while enjoying the company of the incredibly wonderful people at Quiet Oaks Hospice.
