PCC has gotten seriously off track and gone downhill with customer service and overall vibe.
HQ for PCC, OH MY GOSH!! The view is awesome. Staff are always willing to go that extra mile to make sure your taken care of.
PCC was slow to implement defenses against COVID 19. Kept the food bar open a couple weeks after the restaurants were closed. Staff started wearing masks just about 3 weeks ago. No limit to number of people in the store. Why the reluctance to protect your essentially poor and expendable workers by requiring your mostly high income working from home customers to wear masks while shopping? Why not limit how many are in the store at one time? It seems you are motivated to retain customers by coddling them, not wanting to offend or inconvenience them.
Please.understand many of your customers would appreciate your taking a stronger stance to protect worker and customer health.
Not really a co op- just a fancy grocery store. I joined in the early 80's, but moved away from the Seattle area. I moved back recently and was excited to shop at PCC again. I am so disappointed to see the direction they have taken.
PCC uses Instacart for its home delivery service, and Instacart uses independent drivers to deliver the groceries. when the groceries are not delivered, food is missing, or the wrong delivery is dropped off, both PCC and Instacart refuse to do anything about it.
There is no recourse.
The money goes to PCC, but PCC denies any responsibility. The manager said, "We're not involved".
PCC started as a cooperative to serve local communities. Today it serves the hipsters, obfuscating the quality with the word organic plastered on each of its products.
Their prices are so inflated one must wonder who the customers are. They are certainly not the communities who built the neighborhoods it pretends to serve today.
I like their hearty soups which are available vegan. The produce is top notch and expensive...but this is your FOOD. It becomes you! There is always someone there to assist and they are very nice.
Love you guys! But I have to move over to Port Orchard or Silverdale! You really need a to build a store over there or I don' t know where I'm going to shop!!!
