My husband Howard and I just bought a new Chevy Malibu from Anthony Martin. He a complete gentlemen and went above and beyond to make sure we were thrilled with our new car. Even though we hadn't a new car in over 20 years, he made us feel like family from the moment we shook hands with this yong man. He was very sweet, kind, respectful and most of all, direct. There was no funny business and it was obivous he truly cared about us. Thank you for the new car Anthony. We appreciate your time, your energy and desire to help us.

I have been doing business with Putnam Cadillac for many years and have always been pleased with your service. Mainly because of the attention to detail provided by your Service Representative, Mr Bill Benesi. This time Bill went way beyond his usually excellent service. Due to many traffic accidents while enroute to your dealership I arrived two and a half hours late for my appointment. Bill worked me into your very busy schedule and had me back on the road in no time at all. We've moved 80 miles from your dealership recently, but I will still make the trip to have my Cadillac serviced.

THE WORST! Never again! Had my Camaro convertible ...

THE WORST! Never again! Had my Camaro convertible in for top replacement last year. Service manager was Leo Yi. First, it took Putnam 6 instead of the promised 2 weeks to replace the top. Then, it turned out the new top was scratched. Took Putnam another 2 weeks to remove the scratch. Months later, it turns out Putnam had installed the new top improperly and I got water leaking into the vehicle! 3,500 USD later, I had the water leakage fixed after several weeks at another Chevrolet service location. BEWARE!

End of August we signed a lease for a 2018 Chevy Volt at Putnam.
Ramin Asbaghi (Sales Manager) was very open, honest and helpful. He was attentive and very friendly from the first time he called us about a week ago, until we finally took of with our new car in the late evening.
He clearly puts the customer first and took very good care of us. He was never telling us any untrue stories to get us into the dealership and he gave us a great and fair deal.
I would definitely buy a car from him again. Thanks a lot Ramin!

Extremely dishonest and price swindling-tactics us...

Extremely dishonest and price swindling-tactics used in my experience. They refused to price match with other Chevy dealers in the bay area, and after offering me a relatively good price, proceeded to waste an hour of my time trying to back out of it and offering "One-time offer" deals that were strictly worse.

Mediocre service in general, scummy sales.

The check Engine light came on and I was told it would take 1-2 days just to tell me what the problem was. I'm sorry but that's ridiculous. At least they should be able to diagnose it by the end of the day Or explain to me that something unusual is happening that's preventing them from downloading the check Engine light details.

This was a horrible first experience, when compared with experiences at Ford or Toyota, which were very accommodating and helpful, in terms of giving me information and helping me get a ride instead of sitting in the waiting room.

What a dishonest and disreputable service departme...

What a dishonest and disreputable service department. My parents brought their 2004 Saab 9-5 in to correct a broken center console window switch, leaking radiator, and rear brakes. The service advisor was Bill Vanessi who informed them he would call with a estimate for the repairs to obtain authorization PRIOR to the repair which is required by law in accordance to the California Bureau of Automotive Repair. This was NOT done, and he subsequently called them back and stated the car was done with a $2500.00 bill. Again, they had not authorized the work, nor received a estimate. The brakes were improperly repaired by cutting the 12 year old rear brake rotors instead of replacing them, labor to replace the center window gang switch was in excess of $250.00 which is literally less than a 10 minute job, and the parts and labor for the radiator repair was off the chart for a three hour job and $200.00 part, to which they were charged $450.00+ for the part. When attempting to call to ascertain their labor rate, after 25 minutes on the phone and being transferred multiple times to everyone BUT the service personnel I hung up. No one could tell me the hourly labor rate, even though it is required by law to be clearly posted by law for all to see. I am filling a complaint with the California Attorney General and Bureau of Automotive repair if this problem is not corrected. My parents will be picking up the car on Thursday. Bill Vanessi is clearly clueless about what the proper procedure for the repairs are, for instance telling my parents the window switch "had to be tested" even though it was clearly broken, trying to justify the $250+ plus labor for a no more than ten minute procedure to replace. The lies and deception never stop.

Worse car service ever! I made an appointment, dropped my car off and at the end of the day, they did not even touch it. They were not very sorry about it, just make another appointment we will do it next time. I did not have a good opinion of GM from my car, now I have a terrible opinion of GM.

Had an appointment, still had to wait 45 minutes to drop my car off. There were 19 people waiting, only 9 seats, so most had to stand while waiting. Took twice as long as it was supposed to, car was returned filthy. When I went to pick up the car, we called ahead to say we were on our way, still had to wait 35 minutes for it to be brought out.

I purchased my 1st Cadillac in 2004 , at which time i have been coming to Putnam for servicing periodically. in the past 11 yrs they have been nothing but courteous and friendly, and always complete in their servicing. My car has ran like a charm since day one and still continues to run smooth. I find that they are honest and dedicated to customer service in all they do.

The work requested was for a 36,000 mile check with the oil service notification light on. I thought as usual the brakes would be checked and all fluids would be done. I was told by service rep that the camero didn t need anything other than oil change at this time. And the Brakes they would look at with out measuring them. Curious on that one since every car I ve owned for 40 years always needed a safety check on break pads. I requested them to look at three items one being not being able to remove key from ignition without shifting in and out of park several times, the second the trunk latch would not release without pushing button 5 or 6 times to open trunk. This is an intermittent problem though, the third was for a glue repair on torn door seal. They replaced shift tower for key problem yea . Could not find problem with trunk release and although told they would glue seal on two visits it never was done. All this is fine and can live with, but my complaint is - even with the appointments it took over an hour to check in car. At 10:00 am this should be after the morning rush of check in customers. I referred to my having doctor appointments and I needed to be there. That was why I made the appointments at the dealership when I did. I will try a different dealership next time.

The issue I have is who ever is making the decisio...

The issue I have is who ever is making the decisions behind the scenes is cheap and not efficient. I had a few injectors go bad even though my suburban is 2 years old and has only 22,000 miles on it. The problem was resolved after a few days however a few weeks later I run into the same problem. I asked why this is happening on a new vehicle and explained my concern and the recent problem with my injectors. I was informed that GM no longer replaces all the injectors when there is an issue. Instead they will only replace the affected injectors. This is cheap... if one is bad usually the thought is they are all bad. Why roll the dice by only changing out the affected injectors. Now, the problem is not being fixed the first time causing me to bring my new 2 year old Suburban back in for the same problem causing an inconvenience to our families daily commuting, traveling, and chauffeuring the family around on a day to day bases. I am down sized into some stupid commuter that can not fit my family of 5 and does not meet the needs of our everyday schedule. This procedure on replacing only the affected injectors needs to change, not only because its a cheap way to do business but it also wastes everybody's time even their employees. It is all unnecessary maintenance that could have been prevented if it was just fixed right the first time. I hope GM revisits this and reviews their procedure on quality maintenance and servicing.

If you could find a sales person, that would be great... Then once you find one dragging him away from watching Netflix on his phone is the next challenge only to have him point you in the direction of the car you are interested in and know no product knowledge.

Fun times, plus side I was in and out in under 5 minutes with zero opportunity to buy anything.

For starters their employees will lie. My dad and I went to this dealership in order to lease a car, something neither of us have done before. While we were there their employees were constantly telling us how much money we would save. Two of their employees even specifically told us that all we had to worry about were the tires, monthly payments, and insurance. Surely enough, months down the line after I received my second free car service, they tell me that general maintenance is not under the contract and that only engine failure maintenance is covered and when I tell them that that was not what I had been told they claim that there is nothing they can do about it. Additionally I also have to pay for registration, which I was not notified about. As this may not be a problem to some, I am a college student who has other bills to pay and is struggling financially. I made this clear to the employees who initially leased us the car and they sadly used this against me by telling me lies to make me believe that this would save me the most money.
In addition, they will try to swindle you. During my second car service they told me that I had to get my battery tub fixed. Immediately, the employee tried to get me to rent a car saying that it might not be done that day. I had to ask him to call the shop in order to figure out if getting the work done the same day were possible, which he did very reluctantly, and surely enough it was. Had I just listened to their employee right away I would have wasted money on insurance for a rented car that wasnt actually needed.
All in all, if you are going to this dealership, which I highly suggest against, stay up on your toes and, from what I've learned, read and ask everything before you do anything because the people here will say anything to get their way.

I just want to say thank you to these guys here especially DM, A month ago my car check engine light came on saying Engine power reduced on my 2017 Chevy CRUZE I called around I even call Stewart in Daly city where they gave me the ultimate run around and the customer service was completely terrible ..... but here at Putnam GM from the moment I walked in I was greeted I didn t have to flag down anyone or wait for anyone to finally look at me these guys are amazing from customer service down to taking care of my car they didn t give me any run around or crazy bill I brought my car in they took care of me down to my rental even down to my loaner car I just want to say thank you guys for helping me and if anything ever happened to my car again I m only coming to you guys. I highly recommend this place they are very friendly and respectful.

These guys tried to pull a fast one on me. Years ago (~2015) I had a Chevy Volt and took it in for service and they were going to keep it for a few days. So they loaned me one of their Volts, how awesome I thought at the time but little did I know. A day into the loaner I get pulled over, CHP tells me the Registration is expired and the dealer is responsible. CHP cites the dealer. I let the service manager know when I dropped off the loaner and thought nothing of it

Fast forward 2018 and Putnam Chevrolet sends me a letter saying I owe them over $800 in court penalties because of they never took care of the citation...lmao I remember the day vividly because it was the same day that crazy chic shot up the YouTube offices in San Bruno. I went to the dealer and gave them an earful trying to be sneaky and pass off their bill from the court to me.

Hey Putnam Chevrolet, you lost a customer and won't service my GM vehicle here (an H3). As for my FCA vehicle, I take my Viper to the Dodge dealer across the street for convenience but I'm seriously rethinking I should find another shop not owned by "Putnam". Since each dealer is ran semi independent from one another none of this shenanigans has occurred at the Dodge dealer, but don't think I don't and won't tell friends and family about this.

Pricing was competitive and presented me with all the options of warranties and protections for my vehicle. They even filled up the tank before I left. Very rare to come across such a professional group especially in the Car Dealership industry.

worst experience ever !!! well let's start with my call to Putnam, the girl who answer was no able to find my appointment, I was on the phone with her for 45 minutes, I start with giving her my name, then my last name then all the information about my car, email, and cell number and nothing she was not able to find my appointment, she asked me multiple times if I was calling to the right place which I keep on telling her that I'm calling from the phone number on the email that I received with the appointment confirmation she keep on cutting me off, putting me on hold, she seemed very annoyed, and once again she asked me if I was sure that I was calling to the right, which I responded that I calling to the number on the email confirming my appointment made the week before, she finally transfer the call to her supervisor, nobody answer I end it up leaving the supervisor a voicemail with my number to call me back, I'm still waiting for that call. hang up and call again this time they were able to find my appointment since I was calling to let them know that I was running late in the first place, she told me to bring the car in anyways and since they were completely booked out I might have to leave the car overnight, no big deal I said, so I got to the repair center wait for a good 10 mins nobody check me in few employees walked by not even a "you been help" nothing, finally someone
asked me if I need help, we go over why I was bringing the car in he told me that the car have to stay in overnight, and I said that's ok, he also said he will call me and let me know what was wrong with the car, he never call to let me know what was wrong with the car, he call 2 1/2 hours later letting me know that the car was ready to pick up!!!!! worst experience ever!!!! not only I had to stop doing what I was doing to run to the train station since I'm in SF so I can make it on time before the repair center close since in my mind my car was not to be ready, got in he send for my car saw the employee looking the car keys, saw one more I waiting then I heard someone said we can not find the car we do not know where it got park!!! I will be looking for another dealership when I need a repair or service on my car, we actually have 2 a 2016 Encore and a 2018 Envision.

I find it really strange that you have to make an appointment for an oil change. I used to go to the dealerships in Dallas and at no time did I need an appointment. This dealership must be severely understaffed. You should have to make an appointment for an oil change. You should be able to drive in and have it done. Disappointing!

Perfect place to get a car. The whole staff treated me like family. And suprised me when. Coming in to pick up paperwork, I ended up picking up my brand new ZL1 Camaro . That was so awesome of them to suprise me like that. 5 star service all the way. I'm coming back in the future, and so is the rest of my family and close friends . They get the customer , they listen to what you want and they get it done. Thank you David Sanchez and the rest of the Chevy staff .

The parts department helped research the most cost effective replacement part for my son's 2009 Cobalt turn signal socket. Putnam carries a smaller, lower cost assembly not even mentioned by our local dealer who had condescendingly offered a large headlight/turn signal assembly at 4 times the cost!! Putnam gets our business from now on due to their far more considerate attitude.

We had an excellent buying experience with Putnam Chevrolet. After submitting an inquiry about the car of interest online, I got an immediate response by phone and email from the sales manager. We negotiated the price fairly easily and quickly, we managed to deal with several documents beforehand, and we got through the sales process at the dealership in about an hour. They are also very careful and accommodating right now during the pandemic. It was great working with Jeries Kopti and his team.

These guys have done great work on my transmission...

These guys have done great work on my transmission, engine, and steering, but they are NOT a track shop. I took my Z06 in for a routine pad slap and brake bleed, which should have taken them 1hr and should have cost $300, but they pushed me to opt for an additional $1000 of unneeded alignment and other service. The real kicker is that they then unnecessarily tried to replace the caliper stabilizer pins and broke one of the pins in the process. This forced me to miss my track day. And at the end of it all, they charged me an additional $400. I would only recommend these guys if you have a Chevy Bolt that you only need services once a year.

All I can say about my experience with Putnam Chevrolet is wow....

Here's why. My husband and I showed up to buy a Chevy Bolt with a screaming toddler. However, the young man whom my husband had an appointment with was completely and utterly understanding. This young man's name is Anthony Martin and I have never been so impressed with a car salesman before. He was so professional, courteous and he genuinely cared about us as people. Every person who has rated him at five stars across various social media platforms are completely right. The buying experience with Anthony was less of a negotiation and more of a conversation. It certainly didn't hurt that Anthony is fluent in German so he and my husband who is from Germany were able to conduct the "negotiation" almost entirely in German. Anthony was so kind, considerate, and he did everything in his power to ensure that my family was completely happy with our purchase. I cannot overstate how awesome Anthony was to deal with!! Well done Anthony and kudos to Putnam Chevy for hiring you!

Spent three long days and hours on the phone here trying to get a simple $50 warranty service done on a new car. Service never completed and will have to hire a lawyer to actually get it done. Don't buy a GM product period, and, if you must, definitely don't buy or service it here. Incompetent doesn't begin to describe this place and the seven other GM service departments I've visited.

I had a great experience at Putnam Chevrolet. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MR. PEDRO! He answered all my questions, was very helpful, not pushy at all and went out of his way to make sure I would be happy with the car I decided on.

I was really treated like royalty, Pedro had a world of patience when helping me, he explained every option and was extremely knowledgeable, Took me for a test drive on several vehicles to explain some options I was not sure about. I found the dealership very honest, straight forward, and to the point. I would not think of anywhere else, when thinking of a Chevrolet, Cadillac and GMC. They have a huge inventory of vehicles in every color and every option.

If you are looking for the Best Deal, ask for Pedro, and you will walk out with your dream car, at a price you can't believe.

Ive left my phone number and name so i can get a call back and its also been two weeks i mean come on its not like theres only one person who does paper work for the cars what is wrong with them. Horrible just horrible service and would not go back there at all.

Charlie, my Service Representative was amazing. My 2012 Chevy Cruze LT was towed in because I was having transmission issues (all the fluid emptied out while driving). My biggest fear was a rebuilt transmission but luckily that wasn't necessary. He kept me informed what was going on while they had my car for almost two weeks and when I got it back, it was running just as good, if not better! Not only saved my car but my bank account! Thank you, Charlie (and Putnam Chevrolet)!

Service department always very helpful. New experience buying a used loaner vehicle with 6K. Nice looking but the only bad situation was that according to my knowledge was never serviced after it left the floor and I was never notified always trusting the judgment of the sales department. anyway apparently the car is running much better according to my daughter since she is the person that drives this vehicle.

After one week in the shop we got the unit back without being clean nor exterior or interior

Very disappointed with the service on our Cadillac...

Very disappointed with the service on our Cadillac. We have a 1984 Cadillac that was serviced after a fan belt was broken and left us stranded on 280. They claimed they fixed the car and gave us a status of other issues, which was nice. Then, while driving it, the car belts broke again within 30 days. This time we took it to another shop, who said that the alternator arm was broken and old, which had to be replaced for any work to begin. They couldn't find one in the market, so fabricated one for us and all works great now. This car should have never been fixed the way it was done by Putnam and I was sorry to have brought it there. We will not return, as if you don't fix things correctly, they really what is the point?

Do not come to this dealership! Absolute chaos no one knows where your vehicle is (for parts and services) something they said will take 10-20 minutes to do has taken almost 2 in a half hours. Had me pay and wait for my vehicle 20 mins later my vehicle was still not presented, than they tell me it wasnt done at all its still 30 mins out!! And i had a scheduled appointment!!! So fricken annoying & forget about finding anyone who knows why because no one speaks english or even can tell you where ur vehicle is. Another guy in the waiting room has been sitting here for 2hrs for an oil change and he had an appointment as well.

This one was a routine service, oil change and basic inspection. It was explained to me that it will take more than 3 hours waiting, the service agent offer a ride or suggested a way to enjoy my time. Also, he gave me an estimated for the service. Once the service finished, he explained everything was performed in my car and the conditions. Paid for the service and I was ready to go. He was very courteous, very professional explaining anything I asked. Great service!
