I am an engineer and today I was refused to inspect a building engineer at the 3rd Helmerstraat 51 hs. Now I understand that the building is very crooked and the broker wants to secure his brokerage by refusing me as a foundation expert. I suspect that this property has a lack of foundation, but yes it has to be sold and that will of course not work if I carry out the architectural inspection.

Visited an apartment in Zandvoort, the broker did not wear a mask, and there was hardly any ventilation. She also did not mind that someone came in without a mask.
They are scammers and especially John Pijnaker with his humor level; everything that is crooked, he says it is right. They are capitalism people, all greed. Real estate people are definitely not good for anything. You pay a lot for little and sloppy work. Unacceptable behavior, this is definitely not recommended !!
A top broker! Reliable, very helpful, cooperative and knowledgeable, with the purchase of my house but also with the sale of my house I received excellent and expert advice. They are also easy to reach and there is quick feedback on my questions. An absolute must!
I had a very positive experience with this agency. They have been very professional and responsive ever since the first contact. They were able to negotiate with the company owner the conditions according to my needs. Also after the contract signing they are very helpful in order to solve some minor issues with the apartment.
We rented a student house at Keij & Stefels. They do not seem to have the permits in order for this, something we discovered ourselves. A permit should be cultivated. Four rooms were in the basement and there was no emergency exit. We paid 3600 euros per month exclusively for about 140 m2 in de Baarsjes.
After months of not being listened to, we were put on the street without mercy. This we heard in the middle of the summer with a few weeks time to find a new home in Amsterdam. They did not show up at an appointment to discuss this with the housing team. When we called the reception to ask where the representative was, the receiver was hung up with the announcement that it had something better to do. We have received no compensation, no alternative living space, there is no response to our lawyer's letter. Promises about all this have never been fulfilled and there is no response. We are still discussing with the lawyer whether we can still claim our rights against these people in a way. At least a compensation.
If it is possible to avoid Keij & Stefels in Amsterdam, I advise you to do this. You can just stand on the street.
Meanwhile, a few months living in a house with management of Keij & Stefels. Incomprehensible how I am dealt with. After I received the keys to the house, there were a number of defects in the apartment. In principle no problem as long as this is solved neatly ... I have indicated all defects and contact would be made. Unfortunately, this contact often took place only when I had already called back 3 times. The Subcontractors also forget you and are coming too late. Often I get to hear that the department about repairs is not present, it seems a bit easy?!? Because I can hardly time when a defect occurs. I am therefore absolutely not to mention the service of Keij & Stefels.
True, the agreements are not being met. Just steal money from la. It takes 3 months to close a wall and then everything is still crooked and the socket does not work. What professionals are more lazy than craftsmen. Liars are cheaters and they are scammers again. And so I can go further ...... So
From the cupboard to the wall until you are helped. This business is on the owner's side than yours as a tenant. They must remain natural.
From my personal experience, Keij & Stefels cares more about their profit than their especially for expat tenants
Ignored all noise complains from constant construction to build new rooms, especially during times of the corona crisis

Finding a new apartment to buy with Keij & Stefels was a very positive experience for us. We have chosen in based on advice of a colleague and after a not so positive experience with another agency in the neighbourhood previously.
Both me and my husband are very pleased by working with Peter and the agency. We felt that the planning and scheduling of new appointments was good and fast, we learned a lot of details about the properties and what to pay attention to and other interesting details (like erfpacht/perpetual contract for land). Overall, highly recommended if you are looking for a reliable and experienced real estate specialists!

Water came out of our drain of our shower drain and flooded through to our downstairs neighbor. The representative that came to inspect said that it was our fault for not cleaning the drain. He even went as far as to call my wife "stupid" for allowing it to flood. These people are rude and will take advantage of you if they can.

All negative comments written on the behalf of this company are mere truth. Danielle Oud, makelaar for this company on a very polite statement that I haven't received a contract yet answered rudely and unprofessionally. Staff need to be trained to have manners, to be polite, and not to answer clients with exclamation marks.
This only shows what's already known about the Dutch: rudeness, arrogance and laziness is described as directness. Generations of farmers have put the suits on and they think they can do business on a higher level. Danielle may have left farm and village but village didn't go out of her.
In the end she never sent out the contract. AVOID!!!!!!!
I was well helped with the purchase of my apartment in Amsterdam. The intake interview discussed all points and I also received a wide range from which I could choose. Advantages and disadvantages were examined so that I could take everything into account.
Dear Mr Tokkie, what you are saying is not correct. We have not refused you to issue a structural report. Like your rectification in this! And the measurement report gives a reliable and good indication of the foundation; zakking is well within the standards!
Very satisfied. After my own search for a home, I decided to take a real estate agent. Due to the diverse network of this broker, I quickly found a home in Amsterdam. I recommend it!
Where several estate agents did not like the sale of our apartment, because it was not a turn-key apartment with a mediocre foundation report on top of that, Arjen was happy to take on this challenge.
Because of the condition of the house and the foundation, we found it very pleasant that we were sitting at the table with someone who actually understands this, a structural engineer. Pleasant and concrete communication style, all in all a great collaboration with a particularly good result!
Unfortunately I have a bad experience with Keij & Stefels with the sale of our home in Amsterdam Oud-Zuid. In six months there were only 5 viewers, while our new broker had 17 viewers within 7 weeks, which has led to the sale of our home.
All in all, this is a broker with a traditional view of selling homes. Lack of knowledge of social media and the new communication methods of the current time.
Furthermore, the first 6 pictures on funda were of parks and beautiful street views, while people will be interested in the house instead of parks.
We were also advised to lower the price by more than a ton for the second time, which was reason for us to look for another broker.
Personally, always had good contact with Keij & Stefels, but in business terms they completely missed the point.
I moved out of their rented apartment nearly 5 months ago and following up with them for refund of advanced heating charges as on actual for last 2 months
Had recent contact with the broker, very pleasant cooperation. Definitely recommended for selling your home.
Key & Stefels has good knowledge of the local market. Agreements for the preparation of the sale and for viewings have been properly met. Sales took place in a somewhat lesser market than this moment. Yet realized within a reasonable time within the intended bandwidth.
Do not honor agreements made and do not call / email back.

Very poor organization, never send invoices, and immediately threaten with collection costs, calling for a solution after 3 years customer is not even accepted, the first colleague is always friendly but the one who decides is very aggressive and not customer friendly. I am very shocked by the way in which communication within the company is unfair to anyone who wants to rent or collaborate beware those scammers
