It is on the river and the food is wonderful. The fish is the best I have had since I moved out here 10 months ago. A great date spot.

No complaints..cute place on the water. Good service. The wife and I shared the 2 piece hallibut fish and chips with waffle fries. Delicious! Had a couple pretty good beers on tap also. Always looking for a fun little place literally on the water. Definitely will be back this summer

Great little place to eat! Went there with wife and daughter, sat out by water to get some sun and fresh air. Food was very delicious.They had burgers and I had fish and chips! Very Delicious on all accounts! Service was a bit slow, not all that many customers, but food made up for it! (was there around 2pm-ish) They are still adhering to the COVID guidelines, which is good. Thanks!
PS... get a piece of Key Lime Pie... mmmm..Good!

Enjoyed the afternoon there. Service was great, I enjoyed the coconut shrimp. Downside, the flies. Hope they can change that. However, I do realize it's on the river.

The food is good, drinks are good but when the owner is away this place fails bad! Long waits, very dirty and everything took forever. Never had a bad experience until recently. Hope it doesn't get left behind during the owners new ventures. Perfect spot to watch people boat launch fail.

This is a fabulous floating restaurant /bar on the Washougal docks. Beautiful view, friendly staff, delicious food, and very clean

it look like a very nice quaint little On The Dock Cafe, the food was good overall a very nice little restaurant but it's just not for me.

The whole place is ridiculous, starting with a Jamaican place in Washougal staffed by a bunch of white people. Minimal menu and really overpriced. Focusing on NW fresh seafood would be much wiser in my opinion.

What a fantastic little place! We were referred by staff at a nearby hotel. We were all 3 happy with our food and they even put up with our semi drunk friend with a smile. Outstanding service, delicious food, and fairly priced. We will definitely go back!

Love the atmosphere of music and the river. Even the bathroom is adorably painted. Food was okay but later we both had stomach pain. We generally have this issue when the food quality is low. Service was not the best and refills are tough to get but still love the atmosphere maybe next time we will just go for appetizers and beverages.

For something different, the cocktail menu is pretty varied and adventurous. The spicy soup was really tasty.

Our family eats here a couple times each year when we pass through Camas. My favorite menu item is the fish tacos served with fried okra and a little fruit relish. Delicious!

Extreamly overpriced and the food is not very good. We mainly went on a super nice day to sit outside next to the river. There are exactly 5 tables outside that a squished between 2 buildings and there is a cover over the tables.
Not a good environment and the view is of the boat ramp.
Would not recommend and we will not be back.
If you are looking for something with actual outside seating and an amazing view there is a place in jantzen beach GO THERE! It is affordable with much better food

Whoever said the drinks were watered down must regularly drink straight from the bottle. Our drinks were strong...just the way I like 'em! Food was good, service was good, ambiance was great. We will definitely be back. Can't wait to share this hidden gem with friends and family.

The food was delicious! And, I have celiac so I have to eat gluten free. I got the pork sandwich on a Gf bun. The trick to making sure a gf bun doesn't suck is to butter and grill it. They did this without me asking. Yum!

Lunch on the water excellent food and awesome drinks

The food was very tasty. I had grilled halibut with pepper jack cheese, red onions, tomatoes, pickles and special sauce on a really good gluten free bun. My husband had the halibut batter fried on soft tortillas with a jalapeno and BlackBerry salsa. Amazing original and we will be going back! Our waitress Katie was personable and attentive, and the decor was too cute.

I live in California and I was introduced to this by friends who live near the river. Now every time I'm in the area I make sure to stop by here. The restaurant is a houseboat and floats on the river. There are even docking spots for those who want to travel to here by boat. The view is amazing and has a laid back tropical atmosphere. This restaurant is known for it's rum drinks. There is a whole menu devoted to them. My favorite food is the fish and chips with waffle fries and lime tartar sauce.

Cute little dock cafe. Prices seemed high. The food selection is limited and the food was ok. The workers were nice we got our food as takeout. They were fast. The nachos looked great, but made with pasty nacho sauce instead of cheese, which I would have preferred. The Cuban sandwich was good. The fries were not crispy at all. The soup was good.

One of the coolest restaurants around. Float on the river as you dine on excellent island - style food, cocktails and beer.

After having gone there for years to good food and service, the past 2 visits show something has gone horribly wrong. Our 2nd visit in 6 months yielded a 1 hour wait until we demanded from the manager where our food was. The eatery was only half full after dinner hour. The fillet of fish sandwich was just bits of fish, no fillet. The drinks were the most watered down I have ever experienced.
Overall, a very bad experience and almost a copy of the previous stay. So on to new eateries and with Puffin cafe dropping off our favorites list for good.

Criminal behavior from the Puffin Cafe! Last April while visiting from Massachusetts I left my credit card at the restaurant. Big mistake.
Since I had returned to MA they said they wouldn't mail the card back to me and said I needed to pick it up in person. They also said that when people leave their cards behind by mistake they destroy the card.
Although I said I would mail them a stamped self-addressed envelope with a copy of my driver's license, I changed my mind, believing that they would follow through with their policy and destroy the card.
Everything was fine until June 6th when someone charged $177 on my card. Yup, it was a charge from the Puffin Cafe!
I called my credit card company first to dispute the charge, then I called Puffin.
The person with whom I spoke identified herself as the manager, but would not share her name in spite of the fact that I identified myself immediately.
In fact, I believe she was the same individual I spoke with in April when I first tried to retrieve the card.
In trying to get to the next step of the process of rectifying the situation she hung up on me!
Long story short, someone at the restaurant used my card to charge $177 at their own place! Not very smart! I am in the process of filing charges.
Diners beware!

Fun environment, sitting literally on the water. The food is fantastic, if you can handle spicy, don't miss the Voodoo soup... With chunks of crab.

Loved this place and I only went once! This is a nice cosy place near the river for a date, or if you want to spend time near the water with a significant other. Get ready to pay a bit more, but if you want a place off the highway (SR14) to just watch the boats come in or leave, with delicious food, this is the place!

Cool atmosphere. I was in town for work and appreciated feeling like I was somewhere more tropical. Seems like a great place to hang out with friends and have some drinks. I had a burger, I can't remember which one, but replaced it with a veggie patty. I was satisfied.

I really want to give this place 5 stars because it's my favorite place to go with my husband for lunch...BUT my daughter is convinced they gave her food poisoning and is so traumatized she refuses to go back. When you go in, the first thing you see is all of their drinks in pitchers, uncovered, basking in the sun with no ice. That can't be good for juice and iced tea. When we go now, we just make sure to avoid the drinks on the counter. Other than that, they have the best chicken tacos and the atmosphere is great!
