Psychiatrie Baselland Review

My son was with you for 9 weeks. He has psychosis and with these patients the psychiatrist should talk to the patient a lot. 1x per week only and briefly. I am very disappointed. You do not do much with patients where it is useful and far too little.

I am shocked by the many negative reviews, and reviews have been written by people who have not been to the clinic in person. How can such an assessment correspond factually and factually?
Years ago I was in the clinic on Ward B4 for several weeks. I have had good experiences myself. My supervisor almost always had time to talk if I had a concern or if I wasn't feeling well. The doctors were also competent. My wish to take as little medication as necessary was respected. I was never "paved". I found the occupation in the studio and especially in the pottery very good. I learned a lot there and it was also fun. I had often used the opportunity to walk in the zoo and look at the animals. I also remember the good cuisine. Above-average for a clinic. On my birthday, which was during the week, I was allowed to go out and be with my family all day.
I think those who write badly about the clinic here did not understand that this is not a wellness hotel, but a clinic with many people with a wide variety of problems and diseases. There have to be rules so that living together is possible. And you have to be ready to accept this yourself and to want it yourself. I also had fellow patients who were dissatisfied with everything. It was they who were not ready to work on themselves, preferring to blame everyone else for their situation and illness.

I think it's sad that it has not just happened to me what a mess starts in the A5. It was supposed to be a department for borderline disorder, since they already awakened to how they should deal with such patients. The doctors are overburdened with this problem and have no idea how to handle it. Because of excessive demand, I would be kicked out of the department and the reasoning was at the resignation report a bad testimony that resulted in other reviewers only shaking their heads. It is not a frustration report, this is facts that are provable. A star is too good to not recommend the department so you will not be helped on the contrary.

A close relative of mine has been put under heavy medication in Department A2. Already 2 weeks after admission she could not go on her own anymore and was sitting in a wheelchair or lying in bed. She was hardly responsive most of the time. When I intervened with the attending physician, the drugs were (temporarily) reduced and my relatives became more alive again. A short time later, the drug dose was increased again and I had to intervene again. Old people are sedated with strong medicines as standard, so that they behave quietly and well behaved in old people's homes. That's a scandal! When after 3 months finally the withdrawal was planned, this has been postponed from the A2 three times at short notice and in two cases without prior notice. Only after I put pressure on my relatives has been finally released. Architecturally, you can say nothing good about the A2. From the outside though a stately building, from the inside absolutely desolate, one would imagine a psychiatric department in the Eastern bloc. I can only advise anyone to go out of their way to make this institution.

You are not looked after by psychiatrists, would recommend UPK in Basel! In addition, you are left alone and cannot even have a conversation with the doctor every day because he is too overloaded. It makes sense if people come because of a crisis intervention.

Terrible service. You are not taken seriously. Doctor talks are no longer delayed until the prescribed medication is given only on a compromise basis. Before I came I was mentally healthy compared to now. (My third day)

From the perspective of the relative:
- At the beginning you were informed, included and, above all, treated well. It is difficult to reach someone out of primary care. Every time it said We'll call you! Over and over again my number apparently didn't work. Had to leave my number more often! It cannot be the case that one does not report to the Ang. If the patient is not doing well. Communication with patients is poor, unprofessional and you can tell that certain employees are under time pressure. Just because you are a doctor does not mean that you can talk to relatives as you want. In my opinion the therapy gives way like, conversations and various activations ... People / patients with a language impairment have great difficulties here in this clinic. It was only possible with an interpreter for discussions. (Once a week if at all ...) It feels like you have power here. Very, very disappointed in a psychiatric clinic!

A seriously ill woman is "treated" there or not. Again and again she is threatened with being kicked out if she doesn't follow the "rules". They can't think of anything else and are not responsible for another solution. Should it be a psychiatric clinic? Withdraw money, throw out uninterested "nurses", but not patients who urgently need help. Hopefully someone will clean up this shop!

Absolute mess! Department A5 except for 2 carers everything useless! Zero humanity! You realize they are doing it purely for the money but not for reasons of how people want to help! Drop one when you need them most, just because you are too exhausting!

Peace in peace for those who jump on the train at the station Liestal ... But honestly, that's no wonder at all! Had I not met 2 wonderful people who have taken me in for a few days, I would have landed under the train.

But there are really incredible therapy hours! This, in the smoker room or in the lounge lobby. And with the other patients! Better therapists than the therapists.

I feel worse than when I came in! And by a long shot!

This is not a clinic but a penal institution, you are bombarded with medis and who you ask for what it is you are turned on stupidly, you have to inform yourself on google about the medis, you can not even talk to a doctor and if you are verbal sometimes you will and someone from the care steps on the feet (no violence) and if you say that what you do with the patient does not work, you threaten that you get an injection in the .. and then be locked!
