I’ve purchased silver and gold bars from Provident Metals over the last 7 years. I guess this stream of purchases set me up for the con. I recently bought a 1 oz Italpreziosi Gold Bar (New w/ Assay) from Provident recently.

The bar looks as though it was retrieved from a ship wreck. The assay card was peeled off even in the corners and the bar itself looked like it was beat up.

They were willing to honor their return policy but it had so many conditions and steps I gave up. Be careful if you buy any bar from Provident especially if it’s over $2000- you may get ripped off.

When I decided to buy precious metals I did not know where to go or what to do ,
I decided to look somewhere else outside my community after a local coin dealer ripped me off by charging me $50 currency value on a gold coin above the gold and spot ,
I looked far and wide deciding on Providence metals ,
it has been a god-sent decision... they have been honorable people , trustworthy , with the best price and treatment in the market ,
we always hear them say the good old days in the good old people no longer to be found ,
out of my own experience I will tell you Provident metals are the good old Texans who have kept the old value of honor and dignity .

I purchased 10 silver American Eagles from them on a Friday afternoon. They immediately charged my card for it. The very next day my card was lit up with fraudulent charges. The last attempted fraudulent charge was a double cherge from Provident metals on Sunday morning. When I called them to tell them what happened they didn't seemed too concerned about a possible breach on their end and the girl told me she would" put a note in my order". Not exactly what you want to hear from a precious metals company.

Great Bullion and Coins. Convenient website, easy secure check-out and payment. I don't like that the credit card price is higher but that's the industry standard. Fast and safe shipping.

Been waiting on my order for over a month. Was extremely delayed than the geniuses decided to ship via fedex to a PO Box. Their daily deals are no longer daily and they're not deals. Ever since they merged with JM they have been terrible. Still waiting on that order and they offered me $5 for the "minor" inconvenience as ONE of the ladies stated. (LOLOLOLOLLOOLOL). The other one had a lot more empathy and showed tremendous customer service skills. I'll probably spend the gift certificate and never be back. Too many other bullion dealers with better deals, bigger selection, faster shipping, and better customer service than to waste serious money with these jokers. This is capitalism and the free market either they will shape up or go under. I'm not the only disgruntled customer as of late. I hope they shape up before it's too late for them.

Made several silver purchases from Provident Metals. I am extremely pleased with each purchase and will be ordering more in the near future. I get the 2oz rounds for Christmas presents instead of cash for nieces and nephews, and get proofs for children & grand kids. Super nice stuff, prompt service, discrete delivery, right to the mail box. Could not be happier.

Found Provident Metals to be very helpful. I had need to sell some metals for tax purposes. The transaction was seamless and expert;
I was notified by email when my package arrived, and payment was made to my account the next business day. I will be dealing with them again in the near future.

Not an honest company. Delivery of items was never received, signature verification did not match my signature, was never made whole. They claim to have insurance on the packages, but worm their way out of covering losses for customers. Will never do business with them again after an extremely rude and unprofessional claim experience without resolution.

Mailed 3600 dollars metal in. Never received payment

They are ok. Not as good as they used to be. Their prices are generally great. The quality of the coins usually great. Delivery could be and used to be better. Don't expect to get your coins before anyone else. Customer service is mediocre. I don't believe they are interested in improving the way they do things at this time.
