Professional Actors Studio Review

I've known Nick for a bit now, and he is the consummate professional. He really understands the art of acting, and has a talent for conveying it in digestible language, his stories of his time in the profession are exciting and refreshing, so you're lucky if you get to hear one from him!

I audited a class this past summer. It was a Saturday beginners class. I was nervous because I had no idea what to expect. To my relief, I felt welcome as soon as I walked into the studio. The instructor was professional and knowledgeable. The students were serious about their craft. Right then I knew this was the place for me. It took me about 6 months to get the confidence to actually sign up for a class. I started last Sunday and it was probably one of the best intentional life decisions I ve made in while. Thank you for making me feel comfortable and I m excited to start my journey with this studio.

As someone who has tried different acting classes in Atlanta, I can say, hands down, that Nick Conti has the best studio in the city. All of the instructors are extremely skilled and do great teaching. The exercises done in class are very helpful and great for the value. I would rate six stars if I could!

I visited the studio almost 2 years ago and had an amazing experience with Angela. It was so interactive and I felt so comfortable. Now that I am 100 percent ready to start classes, I knew exactly where I wanted to be! I m so excited to start my journey with this talented group!

I have have studied under three under three different acting coaches. Two in New York...(Stella Adler Studios and Lillian Wilder/Actors Studio) and one in Texas (Lee Peterson).
After only one session with Nick, I know what I have done before has prepared me for the growth ahead with Nick. I am proud and privileged to have been admitted to Nick's Advanced Class. His insight is razor sharp and his enthusiasm is infectious. I know good things now lie ahead.

I moved to Atlanta two years ago to pursue a career in acting not knowing how to do it. After a year of talking to people that had been in the industry the one place that I was referred to time and time again was Nick Conti's acting studio. So that's where I decided to go.
I've been studying there for a year now and the one thing I can say is "They were absolutely right!!!"
The studio is not only affordable it is also filled with highly talented and trained coaches that truly care about the people studying there. The techniques shown in class are at the highest level. They are techniques that the professional actors that are teaching them use themselves. At the same time they pay attention to the individual trying to learn and try to incorporate what is best for that person and not just what they would do. They are true coaches and not just people trying to show you something they've been taught. They care about the students and want to see them succeed in the way that is best for the actor studying there. It is a family-esque environment were the people studying there also help and support each other.
My personal coaches have been Matt Skoller and Scott Oakley. I can say with full confidence if you work with them and the other coaches available you will be given the tools to be a good actor in a way that they themselves are not just running lines

I've been in the beginner's acting class with Scott Oakley for almost two months now & I'm really enjoying them. Very fun & insightful.
I also recently took Scott's Tactical training class & it was a great experience. I left the class with loads of information & lots of new contacts. I joined the studio in October of 2016 and studied with Matt Skollar. Being 60 years old and a South Asian with an accent, I was anxious about the experience, but my concerns were totally misplaced. It turned out to be a life changing experience. With the training I received from the studio I was able to sign up with Houghton Talent and am now working on pursuing a career in acting. I just completed the TV & Film Combat/Actors Acting Tactical Training class taught by Scott Oakley. I learned so much in just 2 days; not only did the course cover tactical training, but I also believe its helped me with my acting too. This class was awesome, and as always, Scott is an extraordinary teacher!

Totally professional and progressive teaching for culmonation of acting techniques. Nick Conti focuses on character improvement from within the actor. I had the opportunity to audit the advanced class and experience improv and acting working together to give a greater performance. Nick brings out the best in his students by pushing them for experimental purposes which resulted in students being able to chowcase their adaptability. You get to work with great teachers who have actual experience in the industry, not to mention the other students who are trying to learn and get better just like you. My very first free audit was with Nick Conti and the 1st hour into the class I realized that I want to come to this acting studio, Nick is truly a master at what he does. He has the ability to pin point exactly what you need as an actor and draws the deepest emotion out of you for your character. I then enrolled and was placed with Jeff Cole. Jeff works with you and helps you achieve your personal goals as an actor. When Jeff works with you he builds up your character through method acting, I have had amazing results from the direction that Jeff gave me. I am absolutely looking forward to the path that I am walking with Jeff Coal and Nick Conti.

I m fairly new to Nick s intermediate class, but already I can tell that I made the right choice taking classes there. He is clearly very knowledgeable about the industry and is great at guiding his students. The way he can pull the emotion he wants out of his students amazes me.

Though I'm new to the industry, I've studied at a few places in the Atlanta area. The Studio stands out because of its caliber of talent; with the industry booming in Atlanta, there are a lot of hobbyists trying to simply latch on to the growth of "Y'allywood." I absolutely loved this studio. I just recently completed a 2 day tactical course with Scott Oakley and it was fantastic. Within those 2 days we learned a lot and also had a great time. It isn't one of those classes where your instructor is yelling at you because you are doing everything wrong, this is one of those classes where Scott believes that you learn more when you enjoy the class, and that is exactly what happened. Scott is very nice and very knowledgable with his content, and he works with you to make sure that you understand the information. I really enjoyed the class and highly recommend it to everyone.

I audited a class at Nick Conti's studio and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed. I've trained at some of the best studios in Chicago and this studio is just as competitive. Nick was extremely kind and fun but very passionate and professional. He gave his students honest, precise, and empowering feedback. The students I spoke with were just as passionate about studying at this studio as nick was coaching them. Immediately, i knew this was where i wanted to continue studying. Having worked in tv news for more than a decade, I wasn't sure what to expect...but after training with Nick and colleagues Matt, Angela, Brooke and John over the past six months, I've been challenged in ways I never thought possible. And you'll learn how the business works...and more importantly, what doesn't work. If you've ever thought of giving acting a try, you will not be disappointed.

I've been coming to the studio for Improv classes for about 4 months now, and have ZERO regrets. The beginner Improv class is amazing, and the advanced class is just as amazing. Super friendly teachers that are very knowledgeable and very accommodating. They are also very active in the business. From helping you apply the basics to put forth your best in an audition up to being a professional on-stage performer - this place will get you where you want to be in the most efficient way possible.

I have done a great deal of research before joining the family of the Professional Actor's studio over 3 years ago! I was drawn to the place because of its good reputation in the industry. I have had the best experiences with the teachers, whether in classrooms, workshops, or private lessons, and saw my skills grow as a result of the comprehensive education and constructive criticism which I received at the studio.

I came to the studio with no former acting experience and have been in beginners class almost a year. Through my intensive training by Nic Conti himself I have already booked two independent movies and now I am part of a student film with eight other students. It was such an incredible experience for me. I audited a class with nick and felt so comfortable and it was great to see that the entire class was comfortable with each other and I really wanted that for myself. Now that I finally made it in, its living up to what I hoped for, of course going up to practice is nerve racking because you want to be exceptional and impress but just after my second class, I feel great even though I wasn't perfect. my instructor Scott is very encouraging and notices the little things I do and makes me feel like its okay, you will get better and that all any aspiring actors wants to know they will be learning from someone who cares. I have lots to learn and I know I found the right place to start.

Man, have I grown in this studio! Nick Conti came highly recommended to me from my colleagues, and the decision to audition for the studio has arguably changed my career. Nick is excellent at what he does to bring out sides of you, as an actor, on many different levels.
The studio has a wide range of coaches for all ages and experience levels. The first step to bettering yourself, whether it be in an acting sense or a life/confidence sense, is to step out and push the envelope for yourself, and boy does Nick Conti do just that!

I love this studio! I ve been taking classes here for about four months and it has been nothing but great help on my acting journey. The teachers are so caring and knowledgeable. I've been coming to this acting school for about 7 months now and I have to say it is amazing. Having instructors for the classes who themselves are working actors makes a huge difference as there are times they'll bring in current material to have us audition and learn. I've also noticed that the instructors challenge us each in areas that we need to work on which allows us to grow individually and as a class. Another huge benefit of the school is many of the classes will focus on various elements. So one month we may be focusing on improv, and another we will be working on cold reads and auditions... And then another will be script analysis.

The amount of material I've learned over the past several months has made this class completely worth it. I have been encouraged by seeing others in the class pursue acting and it has helped motivate me to continue to believe that this IS what I want to do. Which is good, because I love it.
