Professional Actors Studio Review

I recently audited one of Nick's classes. I have never felt more welcome and at home. That's saying a lot in an area such as an actors studio which is a very vulnerable place to begin with. I normally get super anxious in places such as this, but the environment here could not be more welcoming. The advice Nick gives is clear and concise and eloquently put. I cannot wait to be a part of this family!

I haven t been going here long but from my Audit to my classes with my acting teacher Matt it has been so far an amazing journey to becoming an actor. There is so much Information that this school provides along with the tools you need to go after your dreams.

I love that you can audit a class and really get a glimpse of what it s like. I know it helped me, because after watching how knowledgeable the teacher, Scott Oakley, was about different techniques, how he changed his approach to suit his different students, and to see the trust between student and teacher; I knew that this was the place I needed to be if I wanted to take my career to the next level. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone who wants to become a professional actor. I believe so strongly in the work of this studio that I drive 2 1/2 hours ever week just to get to class. So if acting is something you have a passion for, this is the place to be.

Amazing studio for actors. I have had the pleasure to study under Scott Oakley and Jason Stackhouse. Scott provides an amazing class where you will learn new things about yourself and how to apply them into the scene making it as truthful and honest as possible. It is definitely a game changer. Jason's improvisation class is full of imagination and creativity. His class is setup in such a way that you feel encourage to want to participate and create a scene on the spot. Definitely this two classes are the ones to take.

I love going to improv class here! If you got the improv bug I highly suggest getting out there and working it every week. You won't regret it!

I m decently new to acting, and I felt right at home here. The teachers such as Jeff Cole and even the other students are very kind and friendly! I have learned a lot here, very thankful. 10/10 recommend!

I began taking beginner's acting classes on Saturdays about a decade ago at the Professional Actor's Studio. The instructor was fantastic and helped form the basis of a still-growing acting career. Since then, I've booked TV and movie roles.

I decided I needed more "tools" in my actor's "toolbox", so started taking improv classes with Matthew Cornwell. It's been great and I can say, from auditioning regularly, it's been money well-spent. And it's why I'm continuing to take classes.

One of the wonderful things about the studio is that the teachers are working professionals, like Matthew. They know the industry, what's expected, and know how to instruct and guide you. Like any class you take, you get out what you put in. SO if you do your work, you'll not regret it and the money spent will be well worth it.

Took Scott Oakley's beginner acting class on Sunday for several months and really liked it. Scott is a phenomenal instructor, very passionate and genuinely cares about your progress as an aspiring actor or actress. Scott also has a TON of experience and provides solid guidance on the industry side as well. I definitely recommend his class.

Having been a SAG member for 43 years, I have seen and studied with some of the best. However, Nick Conti is the Best I have ever worked with. His compassion, sincerity and professionalism, that he delivers to his actors is a cut above the rest. Nick is the real deal.

I truly love this studio. The teachers and the students quickly become family. The teachers here are so knowledgeable about the industry and the techniques to help you reach your greatest potential and to fully understand the art of acting. I started in the beginners class and have worked my way to the advanced and I have loved every minute with these amazing people. Plus they have showcases every quarter where you have the possibility of being seen by some of Atlanta s top Casting Directors and Agents!

I was happily surprised when I audited the Actor s Studio. I had audited several studios in both L.A. and Atlanta and none compared in quality or cost. I sat in on Scott Oakley s class. I cannot recommend him enough for a virtual class. He offered an exploratory experience by consistently pushing his actors to reach a little further through constructive criticism...yet his class felt relaxed and comfortable. He gave important industry information, motivation, and the trust in the room was palpable (which can only be attributed to the instructor). I enjoyed watching the class and Scott work SO much, I have decided to schedule my own audition for enrollment into the studio s classes. I also need to mention the supportive nature of the studio s owner Nick Conti who proved himself a wealth of knowledge and support to a complete stranger.

Recently this past weekend I had unit opportunity to go spend time with many of the students from the Profesional Actors Studio, I ll tell you what, they are some of the finest individuals with the Biggest hearts! I feel like they are a direct reflection of the school at which they train.

Fantastic training for all Acting levels, including Improv! I love the support I receive not only from the Instructors, but from the other students as well. Great school for taking your Acting to the next level!

I had taken my classes with Scott at Conti s acting studio and it was an incredible experience. He is very honest with you in regards to how you did in preforming a scene, but he is also excellent in showing how you can improve in these weak spots. Nick Conti's Professional Actor's Studio is definitely the best acting studio in Atlanta hands down ! I've only been attending classes for 6 months, and the knowledge and skills that I've obtained have definitely elevated my acting career ! Recently audited a class and left very happy and fulfilled. A very professional but fun environment.

My beautiful girlfriend and I have been taking the beginners class for a month now and really enjoy it! Our instructor, Matt Skollar, is very knowledgeable and makes the class so much fun to attend! Believe me... You will need to do the work to become a better actor but it will be a great learning experience! BTW... Nick Conti is very personal and will help you any way he can!

I really enjoy attending classes at the Professional Actor's Studio in Atlanta. I have learned so much and have been able to use this valuable information in my acting career. The teachers are so knowledgable and it's so nice to see my teachers and fellow classmates in movies, commercials, and TV spots. This place is all it's cracked up to be!

I have taken many many classes for acting, but this is hands down the best one I have been fortunate enough to be a part of. I have been training under Scott Oakley. He does not only care tremendously about his students but he has this unique ability to take them to unexplored emotional depths. I have been taking this class for almost a YEAR, and I am amazed at how much I have grown as an actor. The staff is amazing, and this school actually teaches acting technique alongside improv which are both VERY important in the audition room. They teach you EVERYTHING including where and how to get headshots. Great location, great class.

I ve had the pleasure of studying with Jeff Cole, Jay Plyburn and Jason Stackhouse. They re all great! They each go above and beyond to share with actors what they know about the acting craft as well as where the industry s heading. The best part, too, is they re all working actors. Can t wait to learn more from everyone at the studio!

The best way to learn is in a class that is fun, engaging, challenging, and forgiving. It s nice to begin the class hearing about opportunities other students are having as a result of the preparedness and professionalism because of the skill set they have learned here. And the fee for this service is extremely reasonable. Love this place.

As a casting associate in the industry, I am blow anyway but what Nick does with his students. I had the pleasure of attending a showcase he put on for the actors and it was easily the best showcase I've ever been to. You could see and feel the hard work they had put into their material. I laughed, I got sad, I got excited, and I had fun. You get out what you put in, and boy this place is a honey pot! Thank you Nick for such an incredible experience! Actors sign up now!

Awesome training! Jeff Cole is extremely thorough with method teaching, sensory work, and developing characters. I definitely feel a lot more prepared for auditioning.

I've been going to this studio for several years now. I've grown so much as a actor and a person being here. I've met incredible people through my time in the acting and improv classes. It's truly a great environment to consistently grow as an actor. Some of the best in Atlanta have been here because Nick and all the teachers here will push you every week to become the best actor you can possibly be. I highly recommend coming and auditing a class for free and you'll see why this place has been one of the best studio's in Atlanta for so long.

I just joined this studio and I'm already impressed with how knowledgeable, personalabe, and, professional Nick and Scott are! I'm excited to nurture my gift of performing with this company!

I was referred to Nick Conti's Acting Studio by a Co-worker/Friend of mine who attended over 10 years ago. Sat in on an Audit (which is Awesome... kind of like trying something before you buy it scenario) with Angela Davis and was so blown away by how many gems I learned that I had to take notes! Made the decision to start in January if the class wasn't full. Called today to ask a few more questions and didn't expect the phone to be answered by Nick Conti himself!!! He is so pleasant to talk to, answered all of my questions and then some. What I love already is the studio has so much to offer from Beginner to Combat Training!! I'm super excited to begin my classes!!!

I've been a student here for about almost 5 months. I started with Matt Skollar's Class on Saturdays, and then moved into Jeff Cole's class on Mondays. I've also had the chance to work with Scott Oakley and attend Improvisation every Wednesday with Jason Stackhouse. This team has been so great to work with. They each have so many strengths to bring to the table when it comes to on-camera acting and coaching.

Jeff Cole's class has been more than what I expected! I initially came to this studio for the fair pricing, the community, and the chance to learn the basics of on-camera acting. I receive way more than that with Jeff's class. We've not only worked with script analysis and using our experiences to drive our characters, but also, we've been behind camera and able to watch our scenes to review our performance. We did a night where the entire class pitched in to play make up artists, directors, PA, etc, so that everyone can get a feel for what it is like to be on a set and act out your scene in the midst of chaos. We also did an audition night where we were given lines, analyzed and memorized, and then filmed an audition. These were amazing experiences that have increased my confidence for not only my acting, but my mannerisms for auditions and on set.

Jason Stackhouse is phenomenal, I don't think I would feel as confident on set without the basics I learned in improv class. I was looking for a place to really dedicate time to my love of improvisation, while understanding the impacts for on-camera acting, and this is where I saw everything come together. I have been able to work on my comedic timing, being in the moment, listening (this class really helped with my listening skills) and reacting. This class is SO MUCH FUN, but you are also doing so much work! You get more opportunities to do performances and get feedback from your scene partners and the others in class. I could go on and on about this class because it is my favorite day of the week. I had looked at other places, but love the relationship that Jason has with his students, and the value of the class (you can't get improv like this in Atlanta for the price I pay) is unmatched.

i can't tell you a better place to learn how to overcome the fear of cold reads and auditions! if you get cold feet like i do then this is where you learn how to get over it!!

The advanced acting class on Wednesday night, taught by Nick Conti, is very intense, enlightening, and just flat out fun! Focusing on unique and challenging improv exercises and on and off camera scene study, Nick has high expectations of us, and pushes us until we meet and exceed them. I am a fairly new student, and already notice growth in my acting craft. Excited to see how I continue to learn and grow in his class! Definitely recommend this to all actor s wanting to be challenged and audition sharp and ready.
