Great to deal with reasonable price for insurance ...

Great to deal with reasonable price for insurance and helpful on the phone if any queries. Had to make a claim last year and they were great. Insurance only went up a fraction as well. Extremely happy with the service I'm getting.

Good site easy to navigate and pretty helpful. Just didn't like the idea I was swapping cars and there was only 2 months left so the difference was about 6.00 pound which was fine. But they then they charged me 30.00 administration fee. What for pressing a few buttons .

Terrible insurance company. Had me going all around the country just to get a repair carried out to my vehicle. Don t carry out I what they say they re going to do. In the case of an accident you won t get a case handler. Just a different foreigner every time.

One of the worse car insurance. My car was hit by another car from rear side and was not my fault. First they gave me only 200 and when i file compliant in financial ombudsman then gave me 500 more. Then they start harassment and blackmailing that its a fault claim and the reason they gave me is that i lost the case in the court. I told them i didnt even start the proceeding for my injury claim . Now they put my case as a fault claim on main data base and will be taking them to court though it will cost me loads . So in short never ever get insurance from privilege.

Not impressed. I had a non fault incident. Told by Privilege to get the car repaired and it won't cost me anything. The other party change their tune. Long story cut short an investigation starts...only to find out by my new insurance company that Privilege had listed on the national databade I had made a claim and listed the value of it (which I had no idea). Months later Privilege now are asking me for the excess. Just poor really. I was misled because I could have got the work done myself and not have a claim recorded.

Well, what was a 4/5 review has just been wrecked by absolutely abysmal customer service. My payment was overdue by 7 days and they cancelled the policy which was 10 months into a 12m agreement. I had been one of only a very small number of people who had given them a high review but after reading the reviews below and trying to get them to reinstigate my policy "Lizelle" came to the phone (in my mind pretending to be a manager after her colleague passed me on to her who objected to the fact I was recording the call when I made it known I was) and she explained the cancellation stands! My policy was up-to-date apart from one payment. This company's employees seem to think they speak on behalf of the senior management team. They are in my mind committing commercial suicide and will be out of business in the not too distant future if they carry on. Do yourself a favor, pay a few more pounds to an established name who understands the meaning of customer service and care. I will NEVER EVER TOUCH THIS BUNCH OF SHARKS AGAIN!

Didn't even want to give 1 star! This company is absolutely disgusting and have total incompetent staff. Not a customer of this company but the person who smashed into my new car of 3weeks is they took full liability for it but this company constantly tried to fob me off gave me false promises on the first call then just went down hill from there. I have never in my life known such utter disrespect and dishonesty. I shall be taking my complaint to the hull daily mail, my local ombudsman and to trading standards! You will get karma

Excellent experience with Privelege. I was trying to purchase my insurance online but was having difficulties. I called Privelege and was assisted by Amy who was friendly and chatty and made the experience very positive. I'd definitely use them again.

He was probably the most professional, friendly and helpful customer service representatives I've ever had on the phone! Appalling customer service. Invalidated my policy without notifying me - claimed to have sent a letter in the post but this never reached me at my home address. As a result I kept driving without any insurance for two weeks. Their explanation of the reason behind cancelling my policy was me not sending them a proof of NCD which I had done and even got a confirmation email after doing so. When I made a complaint with them, this has not been resolved to my satisfacion- I got contradictory statements ranging from 'We never received your email with NCD proof ' to 'the proof you provided was insufficient'. Clearly the guys don't know what they are doing. I now moved on to another insurer who accepted the same NCD proof without any problems. Please avoid Piviledge as all you will get will be stress and lack of professionalism. Not worth the cheap insurance fees. Can't even imagine what happens when one wants to make a claim...

My 80 year old mother has just had such an horrendous experience with this company I would never use them. I run a large company and if ever any of my staff treated anyone like my mother has been treated today I would not expect to have any customers. DO NOT USE THEM they are unhelpful and to be honest quite insulting

Dear Claims,

My experience in dealing with Privilege and in particular your sub-contractor Polygon has moved from atrocious to possibly one of the worst transactional involvements with a B2C company in my life.

Having sent copious emails and made umpteen calls regarding the lack of response from Polygon they eventually arrived today. To inform me that the room would need 10-14 days of drying. Drying that could have started nearly two weeks ago. As a result, this means that I can no longer hold my step-daughters 18th birthday here on xxx and I will now have to look to rent a function room. Will Privilege cover that cost and the cost associated with catering outside of the home? If not, then I suggest you also book xxxx in to finalise the re-decoration of the room on xxx for completion by end of the day on xxx.

However, none of the above is probably possible due to further incompetence on the part of Polygon.

The drying equipment was installed this afternoon, and Polygon said they will return on xx. Although I have no official record of this. I do not have an email or text confirming. I need confirmation as Polygon s claim/dispatch team have proven to be unable to reliably use a telephone to make or receive calls.

As in my previous email I referenced I am travelling with work.

After going downstairs from my office around 2.5 hours since the equipment was installed I have discovered that the same equipment I m supposed to leave working while I travel abroad, the same equipment that is supposed to be drying the room where a leak occurred is leaking. Yes leaking. The representative from Polygon assured me it was perfectly safe and fine to leave the equipment running while I was away. PLEASE NOTE: IF I HAD GONE AWAY THIS EVENING OR TOMORROW A GOOD PART OF THE DOWNSTAIRS OF MY HOUSE WOULD HAVE BEEN FLOODED.

Do I switch off the machinery completely defeating the object of drying the dining room, resorting in a further waste of my time and efforts in emailing and phoning you and Polygon over the last two weeks? Shall I soak up the water while I can and leave the machinery running? Or shall I put in another claim in the morning for a wet kitchen? Or can I leave this equipment outside to be removed Polygon at a time of their own convenience?

I was with privilege for 2 years my policy went up by 158 pound so told them I wish to cancel so they cancelled it for me, now I receive a letter from a debt company saying I owe them 74 pound no letters say I owe from privilege and all me DD are up to date.

Cancelled my insurance, as they claimed I'd cancelled my direct debit, I now have 2 active DD for them the one which was active and the new one, never sent out my letter of renewal, which should have been done 3 weeks before policy finished, weather they were going to offer me or not.
They can't even sort their legal obligations.
Totally sub standard service.

Brilliant for car insurance. i spoke to Laura on the phone and she was absolutely amazing! Lovely lady who helped me so much. I have been insured with these guys for a full year and got a fab renewal price which means im staying with privilege for my car insurance thanks to Laura. The insurance agents on the phone are always so kind and helpful. I honestly have nothing bad to say but a big THANK YOU to privilege and to Laura!

Existing customer treated very poorly by them. I was so disgusted at how they treated me, as an existing customer, that I cancelled all policies with them. There are alternatives out there, that treat you with intelligence and do not try to rip you off and use blatant lies to increase your premium.

Bitterly disappointed that despite only making two...

Bitterly disappointed that despite only making two honest claims (one which we chose not to pursue) that we have now been declined household insurance! Be very careful, back in 2015 on a technicality Privilege made our first ever claim into two claims, even though we could evidence it was only one. Now following a recent leak we were advised by a specialist whom we paid for to contact our insurer, which we did. Despite not pursuing this claim Privilege have since told us we've claimed too many times and are a bad commercial risk! I intend to take this matter further with the Financial Ombudsman Service because we have been unfairly treated.

Very poor in handling our insurance claim. 7+ months still. Not resolved by then. No tasked claims handler to deal with your claim, everytime you call you end up repeating yourself. Completely waste your time. Do your homework and get a UK based team.

Incompetent staff. Very rude. Had an issue where they wanted proof of vehicle etc. Which I had no issue with providing. An advisor by the name of 'Tollar' from that particular department who was dealing with my issue was so rude it was unbelievable. Never have I spoken to anyone so rude. The way he came onto the phone no hello no nothing just 'what do you want' as his opening line. Clearly something is wrong and come next year when my Insurance is due for renewal will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

Very easy & exceptionally user friendly web portal based insurance provider who supply a benchmark service. Unfortunately I had an accident in 2019 but their response was faultless. They price match their services so I see no need to ever transfer to any other insurance provider.

Never renew after the first year. Their quote for me for the 3rd year of being with them was 2.5 more than other big names I could find. And never call them to inform any incidents if you are not making a claim as they will enter that in their database and will affect your insurance premium forever! But they never tell you this cheeky S(unts!

Good insurer. Very helpful staff and friendly. Never had a problem getting hold of them or waiting for someone to answer the phone. Fairly well priced too. Pity they couldn't match quotation prices on renewal (or within a few quid for the year) else I would have stayed with them. The insurance industry needs to figure out a way to retain existing customers instead of undercutting for new business and hoping people renew.

After 9 years of being a customer of privilege insurance which I have never made a claim. When it came for a renewal I was told that thay do not insure my type of car... But thay did in January when I got it.. Does not make sense when I asked why not the man could ot give me an answer.. I only gave one star because it would not let me give a zero. Loyal customer with no claims. I requested to change the car on my policy and was quoted double the amount for the vehicle. I found insurance cheaper elsewhere and was then stung for a cancellation fee by them (I m still not sure how she worked it out what I supposedly owe, I m not sure she knew herself). Won t be returning to them. Avoid.

Worst customer service I have received in my life,...

Worst customer service I have received in my life, rude and incompetent staff and disgusting service overall. Have been told I would receive a call in 5 minutes, after I had only problems with them, 3 hours later they couldn't even be bothered to sort a misunderstanding that they have created in the 1st place, no phone call, nothing. Have cancelled and purchased a better deal
