Excellent orchestra with great energy. The seating arrangement creates a full, lush sound. Also, marvelous acoustics in the hall in dress circle area which is partially under the balcony.

With two different places to grab a bite at reasonable prices and wonderful views all around, this place is hard NOT to enjoy!
Went regularly for the 2014 season and was not impressed, nor did I feel that, for a city of Atlanta's size, that there was anything special about the ASO. While the musicians are talented, the venues were generally basic and boring. They SciFi Spectacular was the highlight of the season, along with the Morehouse Christmas special. The facility itself is in need of some upgrades. I recall glancing at the ceiling and its clear that it is not being kept up properly. Maybe this is because they are doing a major rehab with a recent gift? Additionally, the ASO seems like it isn't attracting the traditional respectful symphony lover, that is, on many occasions, I saw people texting, having discussions, eating (and crinkling potato chip bags,) which I thought wasn't the norm for this type of venue. Generally, when I attended, it was never sold out, which is disappointing. Same for the alliance theatre. maybe the fault that the ASO is not popular is due to poor higher level management lacking adequate experience ? I'm not sure- that's a wild guess, as I don't even know the management. However, i'm sure if you were to ask an experienced Symphony goer, they would agree with at least some of my opinions. I disliked it, but will give it 3 stars due to the extremely friendly and positive front-line staff and volunteers. Maybe ATl is not a 'Performing Arts' type of city in ref to the support from the community?
Great atmosphere and an even better performance. Cirque Du Soleil backed up by the ASO was awesome!
We went to see a night of Leonard Bernstein's music performed. It was wonderful! The musicians were great, the conductor was sharp, and the soloists were great performers. To to it all of, I loved the music selection. As a Bernstein fan myself, the music really made me feel something. 5/5, would recommend to anyone interested in the music arts.
Went and saw the Christmas Carol. We really enjoyed the show, great performance.
I really enjoyed this program and all of the amenities
Saw the Indigo Girls with them. Absolutely amazing. Staff was very nice as well. The sound was perfect and the seats were comfortable.
Great as always and it doesn't matter where you are seated.
Great symphony, beautiful premises. Bathrooms are sorry small for a crowd that large so direct a huge line during intermissions for both genders.
Stills and Collins...great show, leave the politics out...
Saw Beth Hart and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Great show and venue was very nice.
We are lucky to have a world class orchestra. See the ASO chorus if you can.
My girlfriend and I attended our first symphony tonight and LOVED IT!! Staff was very courteous, and cirque de la symphanie was outstanding. We sat in the upper balcony and the acoustics were great, if I could give it 6 stars I would!!
If you have any questions about the ASO, you should put them aside
Love the venue and the staff is so remarkably professional and eager to assist!
Absolutely great building perfect for musical performances
Gorgeous theater. Performances were excellent. Strict no photography policy. Great experience all around.
We're so lucky to have this world class ensemble in Atlanta. Robert Spano creates season after season with music that both challenges and satisfies. If only we could have that new performance hall. Never the less, I am in love.
Great place to listen symphonic music in Atlanta. Very friendly staff. Moderately priced.
No need for any explanation. They are the best in the south.
Great venue for performances. The seat in the orchestra center stage were excellent. The sound system was wonderfully clear and sufficiently loud. Onsite parking is quite convenient, however, limited.
They started pretty much on time. Hear performance by the ASO, acoustics were really good. Temperature inside Symphony Hall was quite warm. Parking was easy at the Woodruff Arts Center parking deck. Overall a good experience.
We went to Rachmaninov s piano concerto No 3 and it was amazing! By far, the best concerto I ve ever been too. Really good musicians and venue. My only complaint are the drinks, they are a little overpriced and also they don t let you in with a drink so you only have ~10 minutes to drink it, if you go for a drink during the intermission.
This is the best sympathy ever especially if you like the new James from yocover and how to make a good friend ur next rent payment to
Handel's Messiah
The musicians were magnificent
The choir was harmonious
The soloists sonorous
And the conductor was absolutely animated and masterful.
The ASO delivered a glorious show.
First time, great performance and the acoustics of the hall were much better that anticipated.
They had a wonderful performance this afternoon for the kids! BRAVO
The staff are friendly, helpful, and engaged. They made for an outstanding experience while attending the Tori Amos show. THANK YOU
Really nice venue. Saw JackSepticEye here, and we had a blast
Gregory Porter and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra were nothing short of perfection. His performance brought tears to my eyes. Enjoyed every minute of it!
ASO concert began with national anthem! I felt like I was in Nazi Germany!! Very disturbing!!! Unacceptable in USA!
My son and I attended the PJ Mask show and it was excellent. The show was well put together and awesome effects. We had good seats and enjoyed ourselves.
There could have been more options at the concessions but overall I was satisfied!
Beautiful facility! We enjoyed our concert. We sat in the back, floor level, and we were able to see the stage pretty good.
Ushering here and the best place in town for classical music and cultivated people!
Saw SNAP Judgement here and was surprised at how poor the sound quality was in the balcony. I hope the sound is better when the symphony plays here.
My first time here just love it every othere Saturday is free and it has event for the kids.
I was a chaperone for my daughters preK field trip. Great experience since it was first time to the symphony me and my girls. Very informational and just the right time frame for little ones. I will definitely be back for a full length performance in the future.
I truly enjoyed my event...but I feel the parking is outrageous, the directions should be clearer around the facility and the signage should have light. I barely saw the sign for the arts center
Great place to see a concert. There does not seem to be a bad seat in the house. The acoustics are what you would expect. Staff is friendly and helpful. They have valet but the wait can be longish. Parking in the area is a bit of a pain. But then I have an issue with paying for parking at most venues.
The show was amazing! Great way to start the holiday season!! The symphony gave me goose bumps.
mislead worst show ever bad representation for something with the word gospel leading it
The music, exquisite...the musicians, superb. Prepare to be carried away. You will not find a more satisfying entertainment experience than the ASO
I went here to listen to Distant Worlds, Final Fantasy live in concert, and I must say the Acoustics you are absolutely excellent!!! This place is very professionally run, and I love the architecture, this is a great place to go to listen to a live classical music concert!!! The orchestra is simply phenomenal!!! Amazing talent!!!
I always enjoy visiting Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Shows are always reasonably priced & great performances from some of my favorite artists!
We saw the ASO for the first time at their home theater. What a brilliant orchestra!
The experience of hearing this world class orchestra in live performance surpasses the inferior quality of the best stereo sound system. In this highly talented group where each member is a most excellent master at their craft, you will hear music played with feeling, color, depth, brilliance and genuine perfection. A definite necessity if you are within an hour's drive from downtown Atlanta.
This is always an amazing experience. I just recently took my niece to see ASO in concert. She is 16 and obsessed with band in high school. She plays clarinet. I thought what better way to get her into orchestra than to let her experience it herself? She loved it. It was fun surprising her with the tickets and then getting fancy with her. We love it! Good fun and culture for the whole family.
Everything was well organized and the ASI played a perfect show! Sorry for the woman standing in this shot. This was taken during an intermission in the 2 hour show. Work every dollar and every minute, will return!
Attended the performance conducted by Donald Runnicles and solo voilinist, James Ehnes. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra performed Dmitri Schostakovich's Symphony No. 15 in A Major and Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in D Major. Parking was ok... Very underground. New rule allows attendees to bring beverages (alcoholic and nonalcoholic). Great experience.
I thought symphony Hall was great and went to see Michael W Smith with them. I was really glad I went.
