Rubbish!!! Classic example of insurers that love taking your monthly premium but when putting in a claim they offer a pittance! Hope my house does fall down in may get a card board box to cover it! That's after taking a massive excess beforehand! I won't be using privilege in future!

what a complete lack of care they have for anyone who is unfortunate to have dealings with them. The claims department has taken 5 weeks to send an assessor out to approve the repair. The hire company THRIFTY who was instructed to provide a vehicle sold my details to ambulance chaser solicitors. The hire was suddenly cancelled when my vehicle has not even been repaired yet. Treated like S**t all the way STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY

Dont be fooled by the reasonable prices for house insurance. They are fine to deal with until you need to make a claim. I wont be renewing.
They aren't worth paying in peanuts, my renewal is due on the 6th of July and I just phoned and told them it won't be with them as they are a clowns outfit!

Poor follow up to my partners no fault claim demanding insurance excess back and trying to bluff a way out of taking guilty party to court. We actually drive on the left hand side of the road in scotland and if a third party pulls out from the right hand side on a two lane road then how on earth can this be a 50/50 blame. By the way I allso have a policy with you which I will be cancelling at my earliest opportunity.
I quickly through to a guy who helped me get exactly what I needed straight away. No fuss, no hassle at all. Haven't dealt with them in a crash yet... but for normal buying, and then dealing with them with changes and policy details, completely fine

Truly appalling, customer service numbers not actually answered, merely just give a message and customer service email is a no respond. If I can get insurance back on the high street I am going to do so as I just cannot abide or tolerate this absolutely disgraceful approach to customer service. Never ever again.

I was with this company for over 11 years. During which, I made two claims and they always found ways and means to wiggle out of paying up. So in my last claim I appealed against the Ombudsman who rules in my favour. Despite this, this company still refuses to pay. The claim advisor 'Charles Judson' was very unprofessional and very rude. I am now considering legal actions. Avoid.com.

Two years on and still no a closer to sorting a claim which is not my fault. Continue to get the same answer, your on the waiting list. Feel I've been very patient and understanding but starting to get tiring and ridiculous now.
They don t even give me a code without reason so it s waste of time.
Took my renewal even after I had rang to cancel. After calling again after money was taken I was told I would get a full refund but they only returned part of it. Do not recommend!

So I've gone elsewhere and also this evening cancelled our home insurance we had with them that renewed yesterday and taken my business elsewhere so well done privilege for treating me with utter contempt and I can rest assure you that my wife's car insurance is going to be taken elsewhere so you have lost 3 lots of business just because your computer said no and I advise anyone who is thinking of using this company to have a rethink
Just got off the phone with them. Cheapest on GoCompare but half the details did not pull through for example my second job as a delivery driver in the fast food industry.
Call Handler asked 50 questions about the job and then states cover has been rejected - after explaining that I still need business insurance for travelling between offices - I was accused of manipulating the system. In the end I had to hang up after listening to excuses for not being able to insure. Honestly, the member of staff sounded very satisfied at not being able to provide insurance. Horrible staff.

when renewing my policy there is an option , tick box if you do not want automatic renewal , i could not tick this box [ very clever ] i think not , your premium will go up WITHOUT them first informing you , so i phoned up asking why , everything has gone up , my bloody benefits haven't , they insure people with motors yet ride horses.
Very poor. Avoid this insurance company!! After cancelling your policy you will not get any money back but you gonna have to pay them cancellation fee...
Been with this insurer for 2 years now. The company is very professional, helpful, responsive and easy to reach even in a pandemic!
I do however have to stress to people who are wanting to take a policy out with any insurance to read your documents! Unfortunately, we were not covered for out of the home when we thought we were. So, double check with these guys you're covered for absolutely everything you want.

Not good customer service. Told me a price, when i called back the next day to buy the insurance, the next CSA told me couldn't find the price on the system. I was told I'd get a call back in 20 mins, I rang back multiple times and every time I was told she would try and call me back. I've not heard anything from them, so I decided to go with another company.
Been with them a few years now for car insurance. Had a no fault claim when our car was run into. Privilege couldn't have been more helpful and arranged a hire car although we didn't have that cover. Our car was written off and they gave us a really good fast payout on it. Excellent service.
The thing to remember about insurance companies is that they all use the same underwriters. So their premiums are all very similar, like for like and their services are all very similar. As one hope that you'll never need to contact them to make a claim it's difficult to see how efficient and sympathetic they are. Privilege is simply one of a number of Insurance companies that pop up on comparison websites. Their premiums are average, their services are average - nothing stands out about them, as is the case with most insurance companies. Neither good nor bad.
