So much opportunity to learn and mature!

I've learned a lot about the logistics industry so fast thanks to management and higher ups being hands on and extremely helpful! I enjoy going to work and seeing everyone at work. Everyone is awesome here

Priority1 is my home

I have been with P1 for 5 years. I stumbled across them one day via indeed. I had no sales or professional experience. They gave me the training and vision to be successful. I have always felt supported and that I would be rewarded for the hard work that I put in day in and day out. With our compensation and benefits package Priority1 is a great place to be.

Priority1 Experience

Priority1 has offered me a phenomenal culture as well a knowledge of the logistics industry unlike any other. Highly recommend this company and what they stand for! The people and service top down us excellent.

I've worked at Priority 1 for just over 2 years now and am more than happy here. I'm in inside sales and have seen upward mobility, hands on training and development, and a culture of strong work ethic and positivity.

I'd push anyone towards working here that wants to grow quickly on professional, financial, and personal levels.

What a joke. Sent cargo on truck to be delivered, truck broke down for 2 days and never contacted anyone to inform us. Towed the truck to a location that doesn't ship to my area and was going to leave it. Had I not contacted the warehouse, Priority 1 would have just had it sit and never leave. Their customer service is a joke. Was told to just deal with it and it'll come when it comes.

Priority 1 is the most unethical company around. If you ship with any major carrier or broker, it would be wise to demand that Priority1 is not involved. If anything happens to your shipment, Priority1 will lie and connive to get out of any financial obligation no matter what the cost. They are absolutely the worst company I have dealt with in over 30 years of business.

Priority 1 is a GREAT place to work! Having been in the logistics industry prior to joining the Priority 1 team, I have been overly impressed by the leadership, corporate vision, and approach to providing solutions to partners. John Sarlo, VP of Sales, is a collaborative presence; he is always willing and able to roll up his sleeves and get the job done. It's amazing to be part of a team that works hard and plays hard together. I would highly recommend Priority 1 to anyone interested in growing personally and professionally.

Working at Priority1

- You will receive absolutely ZERO training!
- Day 6 of working at Priority1 there was a mass blowout between current Employees and Management (Yes looking back this should have been a bigger red flag, but as the new guy I just sat there awkwardly through the two hour battle). From this battle there were promises of direct training with management to help build each team members book of business. Followed by a weekly review of current customers you were working with as well as additional help. There were also additional promises made to strengthen the team that fell through even just days after. And regards to the promises of direct training and follow-ups, this lasted just 1 week and returned to normal behind a closed door.
- For the first 3 weeks Priority1 could not even provide a phone or computer and I just sat there. Even after this waiting period the laptop I received did not even have a functional keyboard. After 3 months of a submitted IT Ticket no effort was put forth by management to even get it fixed.
- Make a wrong phone call you will get sued. That is even if the lead sourced is even a good contact number. Which 99% of will not be a valid number or a person even in the industry anymore.
- Productivity is the biggest priority over the safety and health of their employees. Priority1 handled and is handling Covid-19 horribly! Even after a positive test in the office everyone returned 10 days later.
- Do not even bother with collecting commissions. You can work to try and hit a number to only find you were nowhere close due to not even being trained on the company s own internal systems.
- The value of employees to management is lower than ZERO. Internal employees felt the need to go out of pocket to celebrate other departments successes after hitting a company record high month.
- Due to Priority1 being many of the current employees first Real job. They do not realize 90% of this is not normal or either choose to just sit back and wait till another brutal day is over.

It pains me to leave such a negative review on Priority1 as everyone truly is a great person, but if you are needing to make a large career move personally I advise to continue your search.

Advice to Management

Take on less tasks yourself and help build the team by helping close and generate leads.

Unfortunately I had to deal with a very unprofessional Regional Sales Manger by the name of Jonathan Wallace. I never came across as rude as he was in my 10 years being in this business. My driver were not loaded and the shipper was being super rude to them and in the way where the acknowledge that they but made sure to show the driver that they dont care. They took 4 trucks ahead of us when they kept telling us each time we are next and then after 2 hours of waiting there we walked in again and asked when will we get loaded , they said come back in 30, so we went back to the truck and checked in again in 30-40 min just so that the shipper can tell us 'we will load you whenever we feel like it if we want you will be here all night". I wrote a email right away to Jonathan Wallace and in the mean time shipper and driver started arguing so i just told my driver to leave the place so that situation does not get worst. So i emailed again Johnathan Wallace . Where i got a reply back to call him, which i did right away and first thing out of his mouth was you f.... this you f.... that was super unprofessional. And then emails started as you can see attached files... so hopefully someone will talk to this guy and make sure he shows some respect to others. Then he sent email right after all his emails below to his dispatch to block us and not use us because we are unprofessional. Guy is a joke, not sure how he ever made it to becoming a regional manager.

IF I COULD GIVE THIS COMPANY A ZERO I WOULD. DO NOT HAUL FOR THIS BROKERAGE! THIS COMPANY HAD OUR CARRIER TO ATTEMPT TO DELIVER A LOAD TO A DISTRIBUTION CENTER. OUR DRIVER GETS THERE AND THE BROKER COULDN T GIVE OUR DRIVER THE RIGHT PICKUP TO CHECK. THE DISTRIBUTION CENTER WOULD NOT LET OUR DRIVER IN THE GATE AFTER WAITING OVER AN HOUR AFTER THE APPOINTMENT TIME. PRIORITY 1 HAD OUR DRIVER TO TAKE THE LOAD BACK TO THE SHIPPER. PRIORITY SENT US AN UPDATED RATE CONFIRMATION TO RETURN THE LOAD TO THE SHIPPER. OUR COMPANY RETURNED THE LOAD TO THE SHIPPER BECAUSE THE RECEIVER WOULDN T TAKE THE LOAD WITHOUT A PICKUP. 8 MONTHS LATER PRIORITY 1 STILL HAS NOT PAID US FOR A $2,700 AND LIED AND SAID WE OWED THEM $400 FOR A LOAD FROM 2 YEARS AGO. THIS IS OUR FIRST TIME HAULING WITH THIS BROKERAGE. WE ASKED THEM TO SHOW US THE COPY OF THE CHECK WE ASKED FOR FOR $400. THEY BLOCKED US WON T ANSWER THE PHONE OR REPLY TO OUR EMAILS.

Great Company to do all you hauling needs. I've been working with Clayton Weston and by far has he went above and beyond with his great customer service and helpfulness. He is my go to guy to get my company (Prime Machine Inc.) shipping needs meet with very quick response and easy setup. He has made my job easier knowing he has my back. Would highly recommend Clayton and priority.
