Great ambiance, great service, great food!

Great ambiance, great service, great food!
The restaurant had a lively ambiance with its upbeat music and background chatter. There were so many wonderful options to choose from.

The fish and chips were steaming as you cut into the thick and crispy yet light exterior coating. The coleslaw that came with had a surprising sweet twist, but contrasted beautifully against the salty and fatty fish and chips.

Their balsamic eggplant dish held the perfect balance between the sweetness of the eggplant, heartiness of the farro, acidity from the tomato, and sharpness from the watercress. An amazing light yet satisfying vegetarian option!

My only complaint (and this is very picky and did not affect my positive impression of the restaurant) would be that the strawberry panna cotta was not set, and it was more of an cream pudding. However, it was still delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed the different textures it had to offer. Overall, I highly recommend Triumph to any visitors or residents!

I've been to Triumph a few times over the years. I have never been disappointed. This most recent visit I received excellent service from Joseph. It was my birthday dinner.

The beer was terrific. Joseph was very knowledgeable about their many choices. My favorite was the Porter and Irish Mild.

We ordered the nachos as an appetizer and they were superb. The best plate we ordered.

Our sandwiches were also good but not exceptional.

We order an opera to go. I will update after eating

Everything was terrific!

Beers are good here, although not exceptional. The food is probably more of a standout than the beer. In two visits over two days, we had some pretty darned good pub food including the homemade tater tots and fish & chips. The inside of this place is cavernous so there are plenty of different areas to sit and enjoy.

As others have noted, the service is hit or miss. We went during a busy time and it was fine. We went again during a dead time and we were basically ignored the whole time we were there. A server introduced himself and then we never saw him again. The cook ran her own food. No one else checked on us until the bartender came over much later when we had empty plates and glasses for 10+ minutes.

We came for diner last week, and 2 out of 5 of our dishes were horrible. My Cesar salad tasted like it was made few days ago and kept in the fridge. The turkey was inedible and had a weird flavor to it.The service was ok at best. Won't be going back again.

They have the best beef kale salad and mussel appetizer. And their best selection of beer samplers which are their own craft beer. I will most definitely visit again and also recommend this restaurant/pub to people who loves to try craft beer!!

Here's the deal: the beer was fine. My burger was fine. But the beer was not worth $7, and the burger was poorly seasoned and certainly not worth $15. If you need to eat near the university, then it's a fine place to stop. But if you just want a simple beer and burger, you'd honestly do just as well at Chili's, Applebee's, or another chain.

Wow, this place was so good, I went two nights in a row! Love the atmosphere, it's very sleek with alot of energy. I also enjoyed the beer selection. Some of the places I go to back in Colorado are heavy on the IPA's, but Triumph offers a good mix of everything. The pretzel app and Caesar salad were really good. Fish n chips was equally imoressive. But the Steak Frites blew me away! The dish was artfully presented, the filet was perfectly cooked, and the potatoes were out of this world. I've been to many steakhouses that would charge 2-3 times as much for that kind of quality. I cant recommend this place enough!

Good place to go for drinks and bar food. Large bar area with booths and standing tables. Overall, the food is just okay. The descriptions sound great, but then when you get the food, it doesn't live up to your expectations. As always for a microbrew, I recommend getting the beer sampler.

I usually go for after work for a beer with co-workers and friends and sometimes during the weekends. Triumph's main strengths are their in house brewed beers that routinely change minus a few staple beers that is a normal part of their selection.

Their entrance can be easily missed if you don't pay attention and their restaurant goes deep into its location and is basement like. Once you enter the restaurant through its down inclined hallway it opens up to a large spacious area, showcasing their brewing tanks in the background and various local art on the walls (which changes over the year).

Similar to their beers changing, their menu does change from time to time. This is both good and bad. At one time their fries were very much to my liking and then all of a sudden they were different a month later to a great disappointment. I you do find something that you enjoy on their menu, enjoy it as much as you can because after a period of time it might not be available. If you are undecided on which beer to choose, you can always order the sampler and have a taste of all their brews.

Service can vary depending on the time and how busy the restaurant can be. Triumph's can get extremely busy during peak restaurant hours since it is one of the few places that can actually fit many large groups in its bar area. As a result it can get extremely loud at times.

Overall Triumph's gets a better rating for me primarily for its beer selections and variety. The restaurant atmosphere fulfills a niche that is missing from the Princeton environment and allows for a casual last minute gathering of friends at the bar. Most of their seasonal beers are great and something to look forward to. It's just unfortunate at times to discover that your favorite food item can disappear over time.

Visited on a Thursday night and it was very busy. Sat at the bar. Despite the crowds, service was incredibly fast, both drinks and food. The beers are good with a decent variety, something for almost anyone. Also, the menu offers more than just standard pub fare.

If you're interested in overpriced food and mediocre beer this place is for you. I am more of down home brewery type of girl so I at least gave it a 2 because I'm at the Princeton NJ location so stage 5 pretenious alert. Ordered an $18 fish and chips on the smallest plate possible. My coleslaw tasted like licorice because I guess using fennel in your recipe is a thing. Tried the nuttiest brown that was okay I'm into a darker, richer brown. I won't be coming here again and will stick to the more connected atmosphere. I give them credit for appeasing the locals around here. Kudos.

Service is terrible at the bar. Waiter was just hanging there while the bartender was out of sight for a long one, 20 min. Asked for a menu and he gives a snarky reply" are you asking for a menu or do you want to see one"..really!?

I have been here twice, both times the food and service were very good. It was not too expensive all things considered but almost a stretch for American pub fare. The beer was great as it should be at a brewery. The atmosphere was interesting and the restaurant exhibited an interesting layout and design. The establishment appeared clean and the service was fast. A pleasant place to spend some time during a special occasion.

I love Triumph beer! But... Im not a huge fan of the breweries. Don't get me wrogn they have great beer and food but they get overcrowded on the weekends and it becomes standing room only. I think the place was more designed to be a sit down type restaurant but it really sucks when you are sitting and eating and there is some guys ass in your face. My recommendation: Order to go and buy a growler!

Great spot for locally brewed beers! Nice selection of their own craft beers, interesting space and service is very friendly. Food could be better though, especially given the price, but it's location in downtown Princeton is hard to beat.

Great brew pub in Princeton with a solid and diverse selection of beers. Bar area is split between two levels. Didn't have a chance to try the food but huge fan of the Winter Wonder and the Imperial Stout. Awesome atmosphere.
