I have only used the pool here. What's nice about Princess Hotel is the cost is reasonable the pool is of a good size and has a separate toddler pool. Food is okay staff polite and no loud music which makes for a very relaxing break. Well done Princess.

Nice facility with a big blue pool, the bar at the side is pretty good for watch some game drinking a coctel or simply talk with other guest. People in Guyana is always kind, and the hotel staff is not the exception. Restaurant is good too, maybe precarious in local cuisine, but still good enough.

This building is either old or not made very well and it's years are showing. Maybe both? You can see and smell the age in the building. Everywhere you look, is as if they cut corners everywhere on construction and details.
They use really nice tile but then don't cut it straight or line it up properly?
Small faultiness is found throughout.
The rooms are ok.
The breakfast was a great surprise. Enjoyed that a great deal.
Has a casino and located next to the cricket stadium.
All in all, very happy with Ramada in Guyana.

It's just want u need to unwind. But its pricey . For food and drinks . The food . ( none of it ) was good . Even employees dont eat there . And it's very expensive for a can of soda . But that's all subbed out through the restaurant. The hotel stay was affordable.

The Ramada need proper maintenance outside and within. It seems as though care and renovation is not being done, at all.

Room
In bathroom had a stinky smell that was permanent. House keeping was called and they used Lysol to take away the smell but the smell still remain there. Later we found out that the room was not clean prior to us occupying it...yuck!!!

Restaurant
Down in the restaurant, there was no escort to your table and poring of coffee. Everyone assembled around the buffet table stumbling on top of each other to make coffee, tea or pore juice while in the same line waiting to take out the food. The food was good.

Building
On the outside of the building plants and black moss are growing endlessly. The roof are dirty and can used a good power cleaning and painting. Water from a broken pipe is dripping with black moss and broken concrete on the ground.

Overall, organization and structure need to be put in place to facilitate exceptional service at the Princess Ramada in Georgetown Guyana.

I was deeply disappointed this hotel which is a part of my country.

I would rate this hotel a 2. The hotel has so much potential, but many issues. Does not take MasterCard or American Express, for a Ramada, unheard-of. Was pleased to see the renovation of the lobby and the indoor Restaurant. Room renovations appear great, however, infrastructure (clogged toilets, sinks) neeeds to be redone, some basic finishes in room complete installation of smoke detectors, etc. More so, disappointed with the lack of real customer service by some of the staff.
The breakfast buffet, was a great mix of conventional American (pancakes, French toast) and Caribbean (salt fish, bakes, roti, pumpkin), however, the kitchen staff is slow with preparation and replenishing. Not only are they slow with breakfast but, with preparing all meals ( bar side, room service). Some of the wait staff need to be better trained with taking orders ( writing it down, repeating orders , basics). Must compliment two of the morning waitresses, very attentive and great memory.
Wi-Fi really sketchy, hit and miss, but front desk staff was always accommodating with assisting with new passwords or using any of the two computers for guest use.
Housekeeping staff was great, would go out their way.

Staff is great, One of the dining staff wasn't very pleasant or attentive when I went in the day but the night was great. Bartender Salvador is very pleasant. Rooms are clean. Good food btw need improvement on cocktails

I stayed at the Ramada Princess Hotel Georgetown Guyana between March 3 to 10, 2016. Mold was on the shower floor and on the floor outside of the shower. You were able to smell sewage emitting either from the toilet /or the drains. Breakfast was unacceptable, not even at Guyanese standards. It was cold, the coffee was cold and the plantains were hard as a rock.

One female staff at the front desk needs to be terminated immediately since she has no idea what customer's service means.

They do not take Master Card. So, I had to pay cash. Unheard of for the Ramada.

I later found that this hotel is on the blacklist at international banks due to money laundering issues.

They claim that they have WIFI. However, you cannot connect to it and no one at the hotel seems to have any answers when questioned.

I rate this hotel 1/4 of a star.

If you want to enjoy your stay in Guyana, stay away from the hotel.

This hotel has a nice theater / kids gameroom and casino.
BUT the beds were HARD,
The hallways STUNK.
We stayed in 3 rooms for a week:
one had terrible mosquitoes,
one had ants all over
one had construction noise underneath all during the day

This place has so much potential.
The food was very marginal.
They made good cocktails.
They have a miniature golf section. We asked to play. They gave each of us a driver club to "putt" our game out.
The cleaning staff were very nice and did a good job with what they had in the rooms.

Rooms were comfortable except exposed bed frames which hurt my leg/ankle.The mattresses were not secure! The glass open style showers were old and leaked. Not properly sealed and no privacy, not good for family group!
Rooms and bedding needs updating! Needs a microwave!!
Housekeeping staff was very helpful! Staff did a great job!
The amenities and pool was the highlight for the familys' hotel stay! The breakfast was great, of satisfying variety, lots of fresh fruit and juices!
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return!

This hotel is the worst I have ever stayed at. I have stayed at 100's of hotels worldwide but this is worst than a motel. And the front desk girls, especially Keisha needs to be fired, dumb as a ........
Holes in the walls, AC unit stop working several times during the night, ants and spiders in the rooms, had a reserved room and when I arrive at the hotel I was told they don't have to honor my reservation. After 6 hours of waiting I got in a room that looks like crap overall and it was suppose to be the executive suite. The pool is dirty, no bellman available. Nothing good about this hotel. Don't waste your time or money at this dump. I had a 5 star service at Pegasus Hotel for cheaper and Excellent rooms.

Beautiful hotel, comfortable bed, the staff are very friendly and helpfull, and the food and rum are very good. Casino, movie theater, large arcade room onsite and a compact but full fun park that even has real bumper cars. I cant wait to visit again.

Honestly my stay here was really not what expected the shower was in the middle of the room ... there goes privacy... the staff extremely rude ... absolutely no standards here . I will make sure the next time I visit Guyana I will do may homework or just stay at the Marriott.... Such a waste of an hotel .....

My room had two roaches (managed to kill them), ants ( to many to kill) and a grasshopper ( became my friend). They provide coffee but no sugar only splenda, I had to get Brown sugar in a cup from the restaurant. The outdoor restaurant is ridiculously expensive. $45 US for a basic plate and two cans of coke.
They took my dollars and changed it to their dollars, they wouldn't exchange it back.

Very nice place, however the staff are ok they need to give more customer attention in the restaurant...and food options are great but staff seemed like they dont want to be there.
Room are nice but what's up with the glass bathroom? Brains...if a family staying there...you shower naked infront the kids? If friends are sharing room...you shower naked ? Glass bathroom really?

I will surely continue to recommend this fabulous hotel to the vistors who are coming to Guyana. Good job Ramada.

Possibly the largest sized rooms for the money. Ok hospitality and service, but even though recently 'renovated' the fixtures and utilities need a fair amount of attention as not all work (eg. No consistent hot water = cold showers).

After sitting there for 10 minutes the girl then decided that she is gonna serve the blk ppl. Especially the one with the dreads. I felt like I was south of the Mason Dixon line. One of the bartender tried to recover it it was too late. I made up my mind. Because of him I give one star. Go swim and stay away. They sucks.

Service sucks. My room wasn't clean for 2 days after repeatedly complaining. Everytime we need fresh towels we had to call like 3 time, 4 of us stayed in the room and the left one toothbrush when we call front desk we were told we have to wait until the supply manager gets to work later. The TV was all scrambling which we notified front desk and was supposed to send maintenance which never happened. Avoid this place at all cost!!!
