Love taking my kids here in the summer! They love the playground and the splash pad that is located right in front of the entrance of the zoo!Yes. Potawatomi Zoo. It is a great dining a few hours kinda zoo. Affordable family fun, friendly staff, and a nice mix of animals to see. Parking can fill up fast, but if you aren't a lazy butt, there is plenty of Parking on adjacent streets.

A great place to take your kids and see all of the zoo animals. They have alligators too, what a treat. We were also able to purchase popsicles for a dollar and it was a hot day when we went so it was nice that the refreshments were not overpriced.

What's not really impressed with this Zoo. The Australian exhibit is still closed and everything is under construction. You can't even go into the petting zoo anymore for the kids to pet the animals.

This is a great place for kids and adults. There are two inclines at the zoo entrance, but they do have wheelchairs available. They have a photo booth, carousel, train, play ground, and gift shop for entertainment. They have a petting zoo during the summer. All year you can feed the fish or ducks. I recommend bringing a little spending cash and quarters. They do have food and snacks inside the zoo. Remember, it's a zoo so be prepared to have no lid or being a water bottle for your drink. This really is great for a few hours of enjoyment or if you're first visit you could stay most of the day checking out all the animals, keeper talks, and stops I mentioned.

Typical zoo in the spring, things were closed oh, there was construction. We couldn't find a bathroom and when we did it was closed. But what was open was nice. Had several lions and tigers. Not crowded and not too big for smaller kids. ride on the carousel and train were reasonable. Only $2 extra per Rider and you could buy multiple tickets at a discount.

This is a neat little zoo to visit. There is a train and carousel as well which makes it unique compared to other zoos. The only downside about this popjlar place is the parking is usually very full so you'll need to park about a block away. However, the exhibits are awesome and designed well to see the animals. The membership is very very affordable so I suggest getting one if you are going to visit more than twice in a year. We look forward to frequently visiting this zoo.

Loved it

Well, the zoo has changed alot since I've last been, and even more so now that covid took over. The price of admission is still fairly decent but the attractions are lacking at best. No camels, bears, kangaroos, zebras or koi fish. No petting zoo, pony rides or feeding the fish, but to compensate for the lack of funds coming into the zoo, you can now consume beverages from the winery, huh, who knew. My one request, bring back the penguins.

While I love the zoo itself, the parking is just atrocious if you are visiting anytime over the weekend. Be prepared to spend 20-30 minutes circling around the parking lot or stop and hold up traffic waiting for a car to leave. The exhibits are usually pretty great, especially for the kiddies. Gift shop is crazy expensive, but that's pretty standard for Zoo and Museums.

This is not the first time I seen rescued animal in neglect. Some of the people runnng these places are sick! Don't forget about these animals. There are
places that give open space to wildlife. It's important that wildlife live in a natural environment for them. Arboreal primates can't live in Plains or deserts without trees. It's like a neglected prison to them with no way out unless you provide it.

It's nice to have close zoo to go to but when the glass to the animals cages are so dirty you can't even see the animals that is pretty sad, and then you hear the train station engineer yelling at a child, I really wonder if it would be worth the drive to go to Fort Wayne or Indy.

We have not been to the Potawatomi Zoo during the day but we will be going back for sure. We decided the weekend before Christmas to go find some good Christmas lights and the Zoo popped up on Google so that is where we went. Luckily the weather was on our side and it was not freezing and our trip here was awesome! We paid about $50 for 4 of us to get in and that came with 4 tickets for hot chocolate and light up snowflake head bands, also we paid a little extra for train tickets. The lights were great and we got to see some of the animals and Mr. and Mrs. Cluase. The best part for me, other than the wine and adult beverage that they sold, was that the staff were extremely helpful and so enthusiastic. Everything about our trip to the zoo during Christmas gets me excited about taking my kids back when it warms up again in the spring or summer.

Very enjoyable me and my family went on a Saturday and yes it's a little late in the season so we didn't get to see every single animal we wanted to but they had a lot of cool animals out there and it was really enjoyable like the train ride and they even have concession stands around so you can get food and drinks it was a very great experience for my whole family
