Comfortable bed, clean room with a beautiful view, front desk was very accommodating, and the meals are fantastic. We came in looking like vagabond hikers and they treated us with professionalism and respect.

Everyone who stays here raves about it. The ambiance, the food and dining experience (a wine collection of 25,000 bottles), the service, all the staff, the beautiful rooms and cabins - they love everything about it! Many guests return year after year. I met one couple who have stayed for a week every summer for the past 60 years! - ever since their honeymoon (their first stay). Treat yourself!
Staff was awesome! Recently filmed a wedding here. They are very friendly and understand the rush/needs of vendors that come in and out of the hotel. Would love filming here again. Thank you Post Hotel !
Amazing food, generous select of wines. The staff is very friendly and helps to make sure that the dinner was amazing. Great menu that isn't the same cut and paste menu found in many restaurants.
Stayed for one night for an anniversary with my husband. Stay and service was excellent. We also ate at the Outpost pub, which was excellent food and service!
We fell in love with this property. So charming and so peaceful! We started our vacation with a few days at the Fairmont in Banff and then moved to the Post Hotel for a few days. At first we didn't know what to do without all the hustle and bustle we had come to know at the Fairmont but we quickly settled in and enjoyed one of the best hotel experiences ever. The property is charming and peaceful and just what we needed...we loved hearing the train and listening to the Bow River! The owner, front desk staff, doormen, spa, restaurant, menus offered and selection of impressive wines were all wonderful. This hotel is truly a treasure and we look forward to returning in 2020.
Please don't change a thing and thank you again for a lovely stay!
Exemplary European boutique experience in the Canadian Rockies. Attending to every details of your need.Elegant and opulence but at a reasonable rate. Very generously staffed. Excellent , not just good, dining. Beautiful floral arrangement everywhere. The only little improvement the North America tourist may want is more high tech gadget in the room, but we are very satisfied. Excellent hotel and dinning facilities.
The staff are amazing. Some of the most dedicated and knowledgeable people I have met in the service industry. The facility is fantastic and very comfortable. Would love to return very soon.
We stayed at the Post Hotel in September on our vacation and were fortunate enough to sleep in a beautiful two story suite with fireplace. What an extraordinary moment! The rooms are comfortable and very adorable. All the site is beautifully maintained and we felt like we were in a pretty chalet in the forest by the river. I absolutely must underline the totally exceptional service! We were treated very gently, the whole team really contributed to ensuring that we had an extraordinary and magical moment. Finally, we ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner (in addition to breakfast in the room) it's a MUST !! The food was spectacular my taste buds still crave every night and the service impeccable! Thank you for everything, thank you for your welcome and hoping to have the opportunity one day to stay with you again.
We had lunch in the restaurant. The service was top notch, the staff was friendly and helpful. The price is on the high side but the meal was totally worth every dollar
Grand luxury in casual environment. During our first night, there was s planned power outage that lasted longer than planned, of course. The hotel had prepared the rooms with flashlights and candles, and a well stocked woodbox for the fireplace. The kitchen operated for breakfast even thought the per was still out. Will return!!
From the moment you get into the hotel and reception area, you can feel the warmth of the place. Friendly staff helps you with the check-in and then you get to experience a nice room with your own fire place. the cozy rooms with a lot of attention to detail are a good place to get some well deserved rest after a day of hiking. of course there is also the spa, steam bath and swimming pool area that help with that!
My husband & I spent a week at The Post Hotel during our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived we received nothing less than the best. We stayed in the Temple cabin and I was blown away by the attention to detail that we received, even down to the chocolate covered strawberries and champagne waiting for us in the room. The entire week felt like a dream. Of course the food in the hotel restaurant was absolutely delicious. You can find good food and a beautiful hotel just about anywhere, but it is the cozy, familial atmosphere that the employees create that make it like no where else.
Finding out where we were going for the honeymoon was a complete surprise for me until our wedding day. After spending time at The Post I can confidently say that my husband could not have picked a better place for us. We are already daydreaming of returning back as soon as we can.
Didn't stay here but visited the bar for a drink. Beautifully furnished public areas, beautiful gardens - where there are lodges situated by the river!
This is the best ski hotel in Lake Louise and in my opinion Canada The best restaurant in Alberta and the best wine list. Check out the wine cellar! We enjoyed relaxing in the spa followed by an amazing romantic dinner. This is the place to take your partner or your date
The lounge area was super cozy! Live piano music, good food - though very pricey - and great service! Certainly recommended post-hike or ski, and if you're looking for a more casual atmosphere. I think the prices for sandwiches were too high, though choices good and food delicious.
Nice hotel with good food and atmosphere. Rustic but very clean and in good condition. Great shower in the room. Exceeded expectations for a hotel bathroom. Beds were fine and fruit bowl in the room/chocolate on the pillow at night is a nice touch! Location and atmosphere make it worth the extra cost. A real treat.
A wonderland in the snow A magnificent hotel experience .. Our room is wonderfully comfortable, fluffy beds, warm fireplace, magnificent view .. aaa and a spa of course ..
Even our thermometer, located outside our window, was pretty cute. It was more magnificent during the Christmas season. Very close to Lake Louisse. The lake, which is beautiful in summer, and the surrounding snow is like another world. I had fun while watching the symphonically sliding people on this track that was formed in the winter, ignoring the cracks creaking beneath me. a great hotel must stay
Excellent location as a hiking base. The proximity to Lake Louise and Lake Moraine allows you to access the morning before the car park is full. There is also a mall next to the site, which also helps with food and alcohol sourcing. Hotel restaurant was satisfied with quality and quantity of daily 6 course dinner. The dress code is not required for the jacket, but if you can, it is recommended that you take the jacket with a nice talk with the waiter and enjoy a fun three-hour course. The room was a room with windows on the east and west sides. The freight train was running from 5:00 am in summer time, but I was not worried about the sound.
Beautiful hotel in Lake Louise. Charming. Great location. We were there on Sept 1, 2012 - Expensive: $345/night for 2 double bed to be on the parking side/train noise - You can hear the adjacent rooms; bathroom, jacuzzi and shower, walking people above room. - Noisy: Trains during the night, all night that is. Just horrible sleep. - Hard bed - Pub was so so. Caesar was good, not pizza. - Great spa, sells Lululemon clothing If you can live with the tourists of the Fairmont, then don't hesitate to rent a room there. This place is so expensive for what you get. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
Very private, free parking, free WiFi. The service is outstanding and professional. At 26,000 bottles wine selection is quite amazing. The dining is exquisite, check the website for further details. AAA 4 Diamond at least 4 years and counting .and chosen as the best in the Americas.
Whenever we go to Western Canada at Lake Louise, we are sure to book at the Post Hotel for dinner and always two nights is so good !! An incredible service !! A rustic country style place with a wine cellar to dream! Never disappointed the food is staggering super good $$$$ but it's worth it !!
Great experience. We went for breakfast instead of eating the free conti at a local hotel we were staying at. I had the Rosti and we also ordered eggs Benedict. Both were excellent. Wait staff really attentive and professional too. Will be going again.
We were at the Post hotel for two days while attending a wedding. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff is amazing. The rooms with the bed on the mezzanine was wonderful.
Could have 5 stars. Chef is from Switzerland, good danish pastry, croissant and dinner. Rooms are very well appointed, almost had every amenities - with a nespresso coffee machine ! Missing stars :- 1. Roof height ( an unfortunate set back and hard to change ) 2. Black out curtains needed. Spring/ summer sunrise is just so early. Sunlight comes thru and you cannot sleep.
My favorite hotel in a long time. Elegant but not pretentious or stuffy. Serene and restful. For best results a car is necessary. Very accomodating, friendly staff. No A/C but lots of windows and doors to the terraces. Lots of shade as well. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains (Canadian Rockies).
I had a decent experience at the spa here. I was highly disappointed to receive a bill after participating in the advertised "complementary" tea time. Their website states that there is complementary tea, coffee and a selection of desserts. When we went to leave I was handed a bill for $30 after no one informed me that anything I ordered costed money. This is highly insulting after spending hundreds at the spa.
Had an amazing experience at the spa and the restaurant here. The spa was quiet and serene. The amenities were excellent - the hot tub and steam room were lovely and not overcrowded. We went to the restaurant after our service and had a top rate dinner. The dining room had an intimate feel to it. Food and service did not disappoint. Would go back in a heartbeat!
Very nice hotel and accommodations. Our suite had a ground floor lounge area with a full bath on the same level with the bed and a powder room on the upper loft. We had a couple very small issues which the staff quickly corrected. Staff has been happy to help us with anything we need. This hotel is above the price point we usually look at, but if it fits your budget, would recommend.
A must for locals and visitors. What a place. Were there over the cold December. Would love to visit in summer. Stunning views, good food and thank you to all the staff and locals making me as an outsider from RSA feeling welcomed. Lots of outdoor activities during winter. Central to a lot of other towns in the Rockies.
Excellent hotel in lovely surroundings. Restaurant is a must visit, proper quality service, booking recommended for restaurant. Had drinks in front of fire after dinner.
Mountain experience at its best. Having stayed at most rocky mountain hotels/resorts over the years The Post is ahead by far in fit, finish and customer experience. The staff are amazing, the rooms and hotel facilities are pristine, the food is second to none.
This is by far our favourite mountain get away. Well worth both the price and the time required to get here. Make sure you bring some footwear to go for a walk and experience Lake Louise and a swim suit for the pool and spa.
