Poseidon Experience Review

Poseidon Academy is top-notch! I went for an experience with training, and I had a awesome time!! After just a short session, I learned so much about firearm safety and basic shooting fundamentals. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and helpful, and they worked really hard to ensure I had a positive experience. Highly recommend Poseidon Experience for anyone--whether new to firearms or hoping to sharpening their skills!

I absolutely LOVE this place! I highly recommend it to anyone whether you have a lot of experience or none at all. The trainers are very patient but honest about what you need to correct in order to shoot accurately. It's owned by a former marine so you really get the best training out there. They even have guns with kick back so you can get practice with that after you become more accurate without it. If I lived closer, I would definitely have a membership.

There is a huge difference between blowing off ammo at a gun range with no instruction no real measure to compare and expensive ammo with the unique high tech gun range at Poseidon Experience. Truly the way of the future. Pro golfers use out door range combined with virtual high tech software to improve their swing so this technology is now here in Indy for gun owners.
Where else can you have individual and group instruction from a Navy Seal?? In Indianapolis? Finally, a place that I can measurably improve and feel confident to handle my gun responsibly. I highly recommend to beginners and yes advanced shooters too can benefit. I just bought a group gift certificate for my family as a Christmas gift so my nieces and nephews gain an appreciation and respect for guns. I like giving a gift that is a shared experience

It had been about 20 years since I shot a gun. Prior to opening Poseidon Experience, the owner, held a basic gun course on gun safety and pistol shooting. It was very helpful and instilled confidence in handling a firearm.

I refer the experience to new and experienced shooters. It's great to shoot several hundred rounds in an hr without paying 30 cents each. Do yourself a favor and book the orientation.

My wife and I are members. We really enjoy and benefit from our monthly "Poseidon Date." Our confidence with handling handguns increases with every "Experience" and frankly, so does our proficiency. Jesse and his staff are terrific hosts. Transparently, these guys are America's best trained warriors, they're absolute gentlemen, they are personally-focused with a superb mix of respect, challenge, transparency, and unique dialogue. Where else in Indianapolis (Indiana? The Midwest?) can someone get hands-on training of this caliber? We believe the answer is simple: "only at The Poseidon Experience." This can be a game-changer for someone wanting to exercise their Second Amendment rights with competence, confidence, and pleasure.

This was a phenomenal learning experience! If you are unsure of what you are doing around guns, or wish you were a better shot then I highly recommend this place. Jesse is an extremely competent instructor with an eye for detail. I could see improvement in my shooting in the first visit! Will definitely be back

though far from an expert , I have shot a bit, taken a NRA pistol class, and participated in an IDPA qualifier, so wasn't sure how much I would get out of the "Orientation" class.

Now, I understand what Jesse is saying about the advantages of simulator training. He did an excellent job of quickly finding out where my current level is, and then building from there. He also did great at coaching the other students in the class who were at different levels.

I plan on taking another class to supplement my regular range time. I definitely recommend it regardless what level you are.

If you have never, or have experience handling a gun this facility is for you. The staff are extremely helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and will help you to take your skill level to that next level. The wide range of courses available are great. The membership levels caters to many demographics and very affordable. If your just looking for a new and a fun thing to do, this is definitely something to checkout. I have already noticed a huge difference in my weapon handling and shooting skills on the live range in the short time that I have been a member.

I went here with my girlfriend and tried out the range. It was a really great experience. Nice facilities. Really really really friendly and helpful staff. I would absolutely recommend this to any beginner. I learned a lot of about shooting and got a few tips from a navy seal! My girlfriend loved it as well.

Absolutely a phenomenal place for anyone who wants a thorough education on safe gun training/use. Jesse is extremely patient and obviously knowledgable on the topic and a great instructor.
Highly recommend for groups, families, as well as individuals.

Not at all what we had expected. Being a brit and wanting to shoot a handgun with some of my extended american family, we opted for Poseidon over a bunch of ranges in the area (due to the positive google reviews). Even though we never fired a real round, the experience was exceptional and humbling! The staff were attentive and gave some excellent pointers on shooting technique. I'm sure the facility and the experience will only improve over the years, so i would highly reccomend to novices and "seasoned" shooters alike.

Had a great time and will certainly be back. Wonderful place to go if you have no firearm experience and really don't want to feel like you're stepping into a war zone just to try it out.

We have been here twice- once for a Father-Son experience, and another time for date night. My Wife and twelve year old Son had a blast. A safe environment allowed us to focus more on our training. The staff was very personable. We felt welcome the minute we walked in the door.

Thank you for the experience and the memories made with my family. We will be back for sure!
