Awesome place to watch the Timbers play. The Army goes nuts. You have to get there early if you are part of the Army.
Awesome place to watch the Timbers play. The Army goes nuts. You have to get there early if you are part of the Army.
Home of the MLS Portland Timbers and the NWSL Portland Thorns soccer teams.
TIMBERS! Great food nearby and some good concessions inside. There is no better support group than the Timbers Army.
One of the best fields that i have seen. well maintained.
Hard for our UBER driver to get to the entrance we needed.BUT.....A beautiful day
Live game between Timbers and Sporting KC. Great atmosphere for families
Wow big soccer stadium. Great energy. Doesn't need a review.
Excellent environment and great time watching Atlanta FC at Portland Timbers
Portland Timbers and Thorns home feild.
Getting new tiers of seating on the east side.
Timbers Army - RCTID! The atmosphere at Jeld-Wen during a Portland Timbers game is unreal - no venue in Portland quite like it. I have been to loads of Blazer games, but even the Rose Garden experience can't touch the "love for the sport" feeling you get when you are engulfed in lovable Timbers fans. If your a rowdy fan you'll love the Timbers Army section - join in on chants and heckling. If you prefer sitting while you watch your soccer there are many seats for you - plus you can laugh at the Army as they lead the stadium in hilarious chants
The atmosphere of a Timbers games is outstanding. After going there for my first time, I was sold as a Timbers fan. The brews that they have on tap are great, and reasonably priced if you show up within the first hour after the gate opens (I believe it's 25% off the normal price). In addition, the stadium does a great job at inviting various food carts, and pretty delicious ones if I must add, to the stadium and serving their own food. When going to the Timbers game, it is always a great night to go with your friends and let off some steam with the Timbers Army chanting and screaming. #RCTID
Always fun, beer just like the rose garden is too expensive but it is what it is. Be careful if sitting behind the goal you might get popped by a ball Haha
Its was a Good Game.
I haven't been here in a while like few years ago.
The place, in itself, is a Portland icon that onced was the home of the legendary Mavericks. Now the home of the Timbers, this place reels in a home crowd that booms a cheer, in a quiet day, be heard for miles. I've had the pleasure shooting some action shots right at the sidelines. Love the energy and after the remodel, the place looks great. I recommend coming to a game once or twice if your not a soccer fan. Its an experience.
What's not to like with a winning soccer team , a world-class stadium..and expanding. Being in the middle of the city rewards those who wanna explore, plenty of dining and trendy NW Portland steps away!
Love the new east-side expansion. Providence Park is really a destination venue!
Saw the Thorns play NC tonight. Such an amazing game though the Thorns loss.
I love this stadium. Great place to watch Soccer. Best in the US for sure
Wonderful stadium for watching the Portland Timbers, Thorns and T2
Great soccer venue. Home of the Timbers and Thorns.
Went to pick up stuff for PTC for a friends team. Its a nice area!!
Great stadium for soccer match. Wish our seats were covered.
It s a must go do! Fun place to watch a soccer game.
Great place for a soccer match. I was a visitor and the home fans went out of their way to make me feel welcome. They have an awesome home crew Timbers Army and a very good fun soccer team to watch.
Formally: PGE Park
Formally: Jeld-wen Stadium
Currently: Providence Park
Home of The Timber's Army. This place is absolutely incredible, ever since they renovated the East Side of the Stadium the whole atmosphere has changed there. It is truly incredible.
awesome place to bring the family or to even have a date night. I highly recommend coming here & experiencing a game Timbers or Thorns!!!
We really enjoy watching the Timbers and Thorns play at Providence Park. Soccer city USA.
Home of the Portland Timbers soccer team. Beautiful stadium.
Great teams, Timbers and Thorns, and wonderful staff. Love the atmosphere and seeing all my friends @ soccer matches here. #RCTID
The Timbers have really revitalized the area, the park is PACKED for home games with VERY enthusiastic fans!!!!
The best in MLS (especially when the Sounders win here)
When I root...I root for the TIMBERS!!!!!! These guys are what make Portland, Portland! I wish they could play everyday! I do miss Peter Lowery! He was my favorite Timber! Sitting in the Timber Army has been a dream come true!
Great stadium. Timbers games are the best show in town!
The new part of the stadium is great, the old part is super crowded and is hard to get to the better food places. It's better to eat before the game. #RCTID #BAONPDX
Great stadium with an electric crowd. If you have the opportunity, highly recommend seeing a Timber's game
Opening season for the Portland Timbers and a great stadium
It s one of the best clubs in the MLS with an amazing fan culture. The atmosphere at their games is like nothing you would have experienced in a North America sporting event (similar to the passion of college football). I recommend everyone should go to a Timber s game in Providence Park at least once. Memorable!
I love going to this place for soccer games. The food is ok. It's not the best. The staff seems nice. But the main reason I'm rating it 4 stars is because, there is usually druggies outside the stadium. And it's kind of scary. Other wise it's all great. GO TIMBERS/THORNS!
The Timbers are five stars but Providence Park's concourses and concessions are chaotic and un-managed. For example, garbage cans and tables obstruct key choke points and there is no attempt at line management at the snack counters. Lots of great staff though, I've been to many pre-game and post-game activities and they do a great job.
First time here for a timbers game ..loved the experience !! Will be back
Super fun stadium. There is hardly a bad seat there and the atmosphere is always electric
Did not know what to expect at my first MLS game. The chanting and atmosphere made this an amazing event.
It's kind of like the PDX (airport) of sports venues. Tons of bathrooms and water fill stations, good food options (though expect stadium prices), excellent customer service and friendly staff.
The most beautiful soccer stadium in the entire country. Bar none.
The tanner ridge addition is the place to watch games at!
Dear Beer Supplier with the Portland Timbers:
Since your contract with Widmer Brothers Brewing your selection of beers have been bleak. Finding a alcoholic beverage other than Widmer, Cider, Bud or Bud light at Providence Park has been like finding a needle in a haystack. If fact I am now wandering the concourse and missing the game unable to find a decent beer. The Portland Trail Blazers has a great selection of beers other than their sponsor in the Moda Center. Why can't you realize that you should listen to your fans and not sponsorship dollars. I have spoke and emailed with my customer service representative (who has informed me that he has forwarded the complainants to his supervisors) many times over the past seasons asking for for local craft kegs to be placed at specific locations spread out evenly throughout the concourse and have received no response. This lack of response is a disturbing realization that the Portland Timbers organization does not listen to season ticket holders or it's fans.
went to soccer tournament on providence portland park and loooved it! its nice, if u havent yet u should go! its just all a bundle of joy! ^~^
Jel-Wen field was recently upgraded when the Timbers took over fully as Portland's soccer team. One of the really cool aspects for Timbers games are the selection of rotating food carts that are hidden on the inside of the field on the south end. It's a great way to try some of new food from portland's best food carts. If you're in town for a Timbers game some of the best seats are ovbiously in the Army section, but the corner of the stadium in the NW section are also great seats with a view of the entire stadium. Multnomah Athletic Club (MAC) members have a unique view from the club, overlooking the field.
Portland Timbers MLS soccer - any time you can join in a game - do it!
A fine stadium, overpriced goods but otherwise great views of the game and many covered seats to keep you out of the rain.
...just ended up spending $250 to watch NC. Practice shooting for 2hr, A beer now cost more then a 12pk ...also would have been nice if the thorns had come to the game...
I guess I'm not a huge fan of soccer but the one game we went to was fun just wish it had been any other sport if soccer is even a sport. But the whole place is nice and clean.
If you're a Timbers or Thorns fan, you know where this place is. Epic energy when the Army is in the house.
Great game day experience, staff working at the gates and concessions are always nice and helpful. The facility is unique in that it is an old baseball stadium that has been converted into a soccer stadium so you are able to see old relics and architecture from a long time ago (including smaller restrooms and clogged-up concession stand areas.) The general admission seats are pretty small which is to be expected in a nearly century old stadium but the experience of game day more than makes up for it.
Getting to the stadium is a piece of cake whether it be on a bike, train, or car. Be prepared to shell out a bunch of money it you try to park near the stadium, if you ride your bike and are a season ticket holder there are also guards that watch over bikes on the bike racks right outside the stadium on Timbers game days.
Bleachers behind the goal we're a worthwhile upgrade on the seats in the older section. A bit of a building site, but a good atmosphere over all.
The stadium is well set up for soccer now. I miss the baseball, but for watching the Thorns, this is the best stadium in the league. The booster section is wild and keeps up the momentum all game long. Bring a hat, sunglasses, and rain gear.
Watching matches here is always fun. The atmosphere is great and the people are great. Pints of beer are up to 10.50....
