Great place to watch Timbers game. I suggest sitting in the Timbers Army section for the best atmosphere.
Great place to watch Timbers game. I suggest sitting in the Timbers Army section for the best atmosphere.
Well laid out stadium and good food & drink options
The arena is still under construction. But we got this. Helpful staff. Especially if you are visiting pdx.
Great venue to watch soccer, wish there were better parking options though.
Go Thorns and Timbers! Love going to games here and the kids love the soccer camps.
Wish you could walk all the way around the interior of the stadium, but it's not that big of a deal.
Good venue but over priced food, good experience watching the timbers and thorns play, good vibes
Great atmosphere! Love the general admission, Riviters/Timbers army! Would highly recommend whether you re a visitor or a local!
It's an awesome venue and if you haven't been there I recommend it I loved it that they did a huge remodel my wife and I went to a Timber game although the Timbers lost at night her and I had a fantastic time very kid friendly I recommend it to All Families
Go Timbers! Very first game and had a blast! Everyone staff and fans were super friendly, helpful, and made the experience pure joy!
Big stadium, Thorns were playing soccer and we won, 2-1. Had fun, sang, cheered, and enjoyed myself.
Providence Park is a nice, large facility for local professional and university sporting games. Parking is a challenge, but it is very accessible by MAX Light Rail and nearby buses.
I enjoy every game at Providence Park. The atmosphere is wonderful and you can feel the life of downtown. Would like to see the stadium expand some day, but it is pretty amazing for now.
Excellent therapists and friendly front office staff.
Crowded, loud, fun...saw the Timbers for the first time.
Sit in the timbers army for timbers games. You'll begin to understand why Portland is known as one of the best places for soccer in the US!
( 07 ( PORTLAND TIMBERS. )
( 1 Titulo 2015 MLS. )
( Portland, Oregon, United States. )
Bucket list material if you are in Portland! It's old as f! It's been upgraded a million times in the last a hundred years. there's no parking structure, so take public transit or even better, ride your bike. They have a huge parking area for bicycles that is patrolled! inside, you can find a variety of food and beers, it can be a little crowded sometimes so pick your moments but just like any other Stadium. This opinion is coming from somebody who has worked there for about 40 years, and it's definitely worth a visit.
First time at a Portland Thorns game. My family and I had a blast!
Hard to get good parking. Ride the Max. It is easier. Or get a parking garage for the extra . Lots of good food in walking distance nearby. Walk to Pioneer Square is about 30 minutes. Whole foods is about 15 mintues .
Love the new expansion and the Tanner Ridge area. Free water and soda inside. Free hotdogs and hamburgers brought out by vendors to the seats. Free jerky and snacks brought out. Awesome view of the new billboard and great location on side of field. Free donuts after the game, too!
An excellent venue for a soccer match - it's proximity to downtown makes getting to games very walkable. Also, the Portland fans love the tradition, and make every game at Providencr Park a very exciting environment to be a part of
I'm a season ticket holding Timbers fan, so what's not to like about the stadium. Good service in the bars and food serveries despite often being very crowded.
Home of the SLS Portland Timbers and NWSL Portland Thorns, a mecca for soccer aficionados with a game time atmosphere unrivaled in North America
The energy of Portland fans makes any sporting event a fantastic experience.
Got a job interview to be a guest services attendant and I gotta say the guy who gave me the interview was really cool. He had just had his car stolen tho, but don't worry he got it back. Shout out to Willy Clean for being an outstanding human being.
When i go! When i go! When i go make sure I'm wearing green and gold
On game day the buzz in the air around the stadium is intoxicating. The vast array of people swathed in green bring with them their own local spirit. These are not your average sports fans. The giant drums and chants from the Timbers Army section and choreographed movements of the crowd provide a spectacle that everyone can enjoy. To really sink into the Portland Timbers spirit, buy a couple general admission tickets and a cold pint on your way in. Be prepared to stand but the excitement is palatable and worth the effort.
Favorite place to watch my favorite team :) Go Thorns!!
Very clean, great variety of local drinks, and really great pitch.
Old. Loud. Crowded. And awesome. Wouldn't want it any other way. RCTID.
The loud, energetic, and packed atmosphere make this stadium a great venue for every home game, be it the Thorns or the Timbers. Many TriMet options run right to the stadium for ease of transportation. The pricing for concessions is to be expected: expensive. There are also new metal detectors at the entrances but security staff seem to be level headed and friendly.

Third time I've been to an MLS match and definitely the best atmosphere of the 3. If you're used to European football my only warning is that whilst loud the noise is orchestrated rather than being an organic call + response between home and away fans, but this should be expected. Fans are super friendly, very committed to their team and passionate. The venue is a great mix of old and new stands, giving it a more unique feel than Vancouver or Seattle, it's actually a home for the club not just a multi purpose facility. Very clean, lots of food and drink concessions, again has that old school feel (at least where I sat) both on the terrace and under the stand. Sight lines slightly interrupted by stanchions but par for the course at older British stadia so nothing out of the ordinary. Top experience, would return if in town. Very easy to get to the stadium using the Max transit system with stops outside the stadium. Easy enough to walk into Downtown, Pearl District or Nob Hill. Makes a nice change to have a stadium actually in town rather than on an industrial park, for me this plays a large part in ensuring that the club has got personality and connection with its fans.
The website says the Timber Dog is wrapped in bacon but it is just a normal, boring hot dog.
If you look closely there is a lumberjack that saws a log when the Timbers score a goal. I want that dudes job.
The best ball park for soccer games and events! Beautiful setting and the staff is always kind and helpful. Long lines for food and beer before games and during half time so you have to be strategic about when you go for a refill. The energy at games is always fun and exciting.
Timbers army is always exciting, the energy in the stadium is so high! The new seating allows a great view of the field, it's really beautiful to watch and be able to see everything that's happening.
Pretty nice soccer stadium for formerly being a baseball stadium.
Concessions are what you'd expect, and seating isn't for those of us who are on the taller side but I have become a season ticket holder for the Thorns because it's just so fun to be there with a wonderful crowd for a spectacular game experience.
Great stadium. It's original and has a lot of character. The event staff is horrible though, opposing fans are attacked, berated and they allow it. In fact throw out the fan for antagonizing due to there shirt. RCTID but I won't go back soon.
Providence park is the home of the timbers and there putting in alot of new sits.all of the workers work very hard and there nice.
Feel of a true European futbol stadium (smallish, for Europe)
The street art and atmosphere is great! walking around the entire stadium on the outside during the fall for the leaves are changing color was an amazing thing to experience. Just watch out for falling acorns!
Great atmosphere at Timbers game! Always lots of fun! Good times!
Great venue to see soccer. Lots of food and drink options.
I can only describe this place as the facilities of a high School football team in a 2 A district.
Was cool just not much to see aroumd dusk. The street people are a lot less frequent than in some other places
Nice stadium enjoyed the games while my visit here in Portland.
Great place to see a soccer game! Having trouble finding GF beer here this year though :/
Best fan based team in Portland since 1977. Only game I have ever been to with gluten free hot dog buns. Go Portland Timbers!
Attended my first Thorns game -- fantastic experience! Portland fans "get" soccer culture and they do it wonderfully well! Great food too!
My overall experience was good. People were nice and friendly I had good seats. The game was awesome. I should have come 30 minutes earlier for beer and food so I had to wait awhile for that but next time I'll be better prepared. The best way is to park at Loyd Center and take the Max train to Providence park. I had no issues coming or going. Just loved it.
Went to a Thorns game, and I absolutely loved my experience! I suggest not waiting in line to enter the gates but to walk around to the sides of the stadium to find another gate. This was the first stadium that I have been to that there wasn't really a bad seat. Food isn't as expensive as I have experienced in the past with other stadiums. I enjoyed being in the Thorns Army section, although alot of their chants were way too complex to the point where new people felt awkward and others looked annoyed that they were singing along to something that no one could understand anyway.
Took one of my daughters to her first soccer game!!! This was an amazing experience!!!!
