Go support this local theater!! We just love this venue. We were able to have dinner close by and there is also parking close that we have been able to park in both times we've gone. Staff is always friendly. Bring a few bucks for the coffee and cookies.

Every play from the romantic (musical) to the staple (Shakespeare) to the locally written productions are thoughtful, emotional and exquisitely directed. Can speak highly enough.
The atrium concessions area is easily the most enjoyable of any of the theaters in Portland from big to small. Wine, food, coffee, whatever, it's good.
No need to make a cry to support your local theaters, the quality of productions here are always top notch.

I shot a wedding here a few weeks back. The venue is certainly challenging and not for the new photographer. The light is dim and spotty but makes for great ambience for the guests. Anyone shooting a wedding here will certainly get their steps in and will get lost in all the little hallways. The exterior of the building is awesome and makes for the perfect background for wedding party photos. I loved the venue and look forward to shooting there again soon.

The Armory itself is a lovely space with a couple of theater venues and a cafe and Bar. We went to see twist your Dickens. It was hilarious and a lot of fun. We've gone every year they've done it for the past 4 years and it's always brilliant.

The theatre was very comfortable. The show was sold out but the seats gave plenty of room as to not feel like sardines. We were near the back on the orchestra right side. Still a great view of the stage. They had a concession stand but for water it was a $2 honor system. Would love to watch more shows here.

One of my favorite places in Portland. The plays here are always engaging, well written, and thought provoking. I especially enjoy the discount with the armory card. I highly recommend catching a play here when you can!

One of my favorite theaters anywhere. The building itself is an historic treasure in the Pearl District. Even better, the Portland Center Stage Theater Company presents quality productions year to year.

We rented this venue for our wedding. The staff wasn't super friendly and kinda difficult to work with but they allowed us to use our own caterer. But this place is super nice looking for wedding. Also the rent is discounted on certain days, however it also costs more to rent on popular days like long weekends. If you want to rent this place for wedding during summer, you have to reserve very far in advance because their theater schedule doesn't come out until very late. Initially we wanted to have our wedding in September but later on found out that they have shows throughout september. They have speaker system set up already so you can skip having a DJ and save money. We were told that their garbage might be full on our wedding evening because of a show. So, if the garbage is full, we were told to take the garbage with us because there was no other way. In the end, the garbage wasn't full and everything worked out. All in all everything was fine. They gave us season tickets for the shows at the armory theater, which was very nice. We took many of our friends and family and it was a fin experience. I will recommend this place.

Great venue for plays with a unique and interesting background! Small bar and coffee shop is a nice addition and all services are clean and tidy. Great lighting inside, depending on the play and season, and good location, near many restaurants and book stores.

One of the better options for high quality Theater in Portland. Main Theater & the downstairs Ellen Bye Studio are great places to experience some great & pretty good Theater. Staff & volunteers (I have volunteered here for several years) are friendly and knowledgeable about what us goin on in the building.

Good place for out of town guests!

It is wonderful to see an old building get a second life. And having a new theater space has brought new life into the availability of plays that Portland would have otherwise not have had presented.

Great staff, good food and drinks. Absolutely loved the process of pre-ordering your food and drinks for intermission! Avoids the lines and you can enjoy your snack peacefully. The production of The Color Purple was outstanding!
