This company is the real deal, they did everything they promised to do! I am so thankful they called me about a month before we were set to lose our house to auction. Our new payment is almost 35% lower then it used to be and interest rate is fixed at 2%! Thanks again and I will be referring you tons of business.

I wanted to take a minute to leave a review about this company! We had some financial trouble and fell behind with our mortgage. This was a very hard thing to fathom and we didn't know what to do. We tried to get a repayment plan or modification through our lender and they weren t helpful at all! The payments were almost triple our monthly payment. As you all know that is not good and could lead to foreclosure.
So I started to do some research and found the Porter Group LLC! At first I was a little skeptical due to some of the reviews, location of their office, etc. Do not listen or believe the reviews as we are a perfect example of a very happy customer because of them. Matt and Mike were great from the start and I m sure I annoyed them over and over due to all my emails and questions.
Bottom line if you go through a hardship which at times is unavoidable CALL THEM! They will get it done!

I have known Matt and The Porter Group professionally for 13 years! He actually did three modifications for me on my personal home. One after a family illness, one after the death of my husband , and one after Michael hit my home ! The modifications were several years apart! He also modified two properties for my best friend of 30 years!!!
He did a wonderful job and the outcome was more than I could ve ever expected!

I came across the Porter Group, I was hesitant at first since I have been scammed twice by 2 different companies in my state, Illinois, but i was 2yrs behind and low and behold once i spoke with Matthew Porter i felt very confident about signing with them. I was quickly sent the paperwork and put the documents together for Matthew Porter and Michael Vincent, then they did their magic, i have Rushmore Loan Management Services. Let me tell you they are very difficult to deal with, but I waited patiently to receive confirmation that Rushmore was working with the Porter Group, I was very relieved at that moment. I know the process of a Modification, the Attorney is who deals with your Mortgage Company until they tell you that the Modification has been approved, i understand that process but a lot of people don't, once you sign the contract all communication is between the Porter Group and Mortgage Company until it is approved. I highly recommend Matthew Porter and Michael Vincent for all your Mortgage needs. I wish I could give them 20 star rating for what they did for me. Please trust and know you are in safe hands with this Company!! Thank you again to the Porter Group for all you did for me.

They promised a refund if they couldn't deliver the services they promised. They didn't deliver and they didn't refund. They kept telling me everything was alright and was going well. It was not easy to get ahold of them on a regular basis, it wasn't impossible but they'd send you an email and said they contacted you. Kind of difficult to look up when you're working. And then they blamed me for it not going through when they waited till the last minute on the last day to email me to tell me to file bankruptcy.
Something I've never done before and they didn't give me any advice on what to do in that process. The bankruptcy was denied and of course it was my fault so they justified not having to refund my money. If they would have prepped me a few days before like say "get ahold of a bankruptcy attorney" instead of just telling me everything was okay up to the very last day, we probably could have made it work.
Instead I was left holding the bag paying $1,200 for a bankruptcy that never went through on top of the $2,000 they charged me to lose my home while telling me it was my fault for not knowing how to file for bankruptcy thereby justifying not having to refund my money like they promised.
I was not impressed with the level of service they provided. They basically charged me $2,000 to build a bathroom in my home and never completed the job because they told me to go get $1,200 worth of materials then called me an idiot for not know the specific brand they used.
And of course they asked me to take down the negative review because they worked so hard while reminding what an idiot I was for not knowing the proper procedure for filing bankruptcy 15 minutes before the bankruptcy court closed.

We started our journey June 2020 . We are now in December. The porter group worked very hard with our lender to get the deal we needed. Which meant multiple submissions and constant contact. After all their hard work we finally got what we wanted. Our modification was approved and we our on our way to lower payments . Thank you to Matt and Mike at the porter group .
I just want to be very honest as I would extremely nervous signing up as you always see a few negative reviews with any company, so I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Especially since I was refereed to the company from Mother and brother who both used their service and have also raved about what the company did for them. However, that was several years ago when I think the process was a littler easier then it is now. I also did a lot of due diligence on my own by actually speaking to several of their references in my same sate and one was even right down the road form me, which was a huge positive for me. I also like the fact that checked everything out before accepting me, which made me feel that their were going to be no surprises down the road where they would say they dint know something prior. What sealed the deal for me, was they let me pay on my debit card and when I spoke to my local bank they advised I would be covered if something dint work out. I was taking my time praying on the decision, but in the mean time I received a sale date and decided its now or never to pull the trigger. They quickly jumped on my file and told me I had to get everything back over the weekend. In less then then a month they were able to get my sale date postponed and a month later it was suspended. They have kept me constantly informed throughout this process and just this week on the 3rd month I received a trial modification to start next month. It's almost $400.00 less then my original payment and SPS advised me once I complete the 3 month trial I will also be current and they will officially cancel the sale. I am thrilled I found them and will make sure every one knows what they did for my family. If I can figure out how to block out my personal information I will be attaching a copy of my last mortgage statement that showed my old payment/delinquency and a copy of my approval when when I get it. Thanks again for your outstanding service and thanks for putting up with all my annoying questions throughout the process.

Porter Group are a fraud and liars. They have contacted me with inflammatory language and tried to get me to pay $1130. They have since called me again to harass me further. Brian Connor was rude. He yelled at me, called me stupid and told me to stop drinking so early.

When I first spoke to Mike and Matt he reviewed my documentation and told me guaranteed I would be approved for a modification. After 2 surgeries and 6 months of disability I hadn t made a mortgage payment in over a year and my house was now in foreclosure. He said leave it to me and don t speak to anyone, I will handle it. If I had a question I got an immediate answer. When a scammer tried to get me he told me ignore it. I couldn t be more pleased. They did all the work and took the stress away.
We are extremely pleased we found this company when scrolling through Facebook and their add popped. We reached out to them via the website and in 15 minutes we had a call. They went over the process and said everything sounded like something they could help us with, but they had to speak with our mortgage company Chase to make 100% sure. They then followed up with a day later and told us we could move forward. We quickly gathering all their conditions and documents they requested. Then they submitted our file and told us it would take 60-120 days. They keep us to date every week or two and answered our emails quickly. We started to get nervous around 90 days but they kept us calm telling us this is all normal and some go over the estimate. Just before it was about the hit 4 month we got the call we were approved and trial modification would be sent out. We got it about a week later and it was for 3 months. It saved us $280 and brought the 15 payments we were behind current. We successfully completed the trial and send back the final modification last week.
