Have had my 2012 focus in for service for the same...
Have had my 2012 focus in for service for the same problem 4 times. I'm having a transmission problem which causes the car to shutter, jerk, slip, till back and not shift. I was told this was normal. Manager told me they have replaced the tcm and put a new clutch in. When I requested ppwk to compare they are very much different. No where I'm mine does it day the clutch was replaced. It says it need prior approval to be replace but after reprogramming its "ok". Anyway....
AUG 15-replaced tcm reprogram adap lear. Seals were replaced and clutch was ordered (6-8 weeks). Replace tcm, oring, tcm call in, brake clean (?), clutch seal kit, clutch b/o 6vweeks out.
May 2015.
Another tcm installed and a seal. Seals were replaced and clutch was ordered (6-8 weeks). Replaced tcm (again?) oring (again?) tcm called in (so was it replaced?) clutch seal kit (again?) clutch......b/o.....6 weeks out (still?)

TCM (hmmmm), reprogram for overt tcm failure warming. Declined diagnosis due to a $100 plug and play fee...but yet they plugged it in anyway (hmmmm) didn't charge me them refused to fix it. Road test passed, how? As soon as I started driving it started jerking and slipping. But when your techs drive it its fine (hmmmm).
Have more service papers here but all day the same thing---replaced or reprogrammed seals blah blah blah.
Management not happy I left review on Facebook but owell how many people is this dealership gonna give the run around to and lie to? When asked for ppwk you should just give it. It looks shaddy if you want to see my papers first, or you say "Ill give them to you later because u have to dig" etc...red flag! And you shouldn't have your customers wait a month to make a appt when they have a check engine light on (no bending with management was told)! Then get to your appt and not even have the car fixed and not have a rental car like promised. If I wanted to wait for my car to be "serviced" I would Not have made a appt a month out all over a rental car. Ill be taking my business elsewhere and never dealing with this dealership again! Ill tell you the same thing you tell me "you can deal with Ford" since they are the reason for all your neg feedback. If you Value your money and your car you will go elsewhere.
2 months later car still doing the same thing its been doing. They reset the part again with the same reset as before. Not sure what sense that makes but what do I know...also when driving 55-70 mph on highway the electrical dies. Radio, dash etc. Asked them to fix this problem and still Not fixed. Imagine that! Car actrd up the whole way back from the poconos with my 6 year old and 4 year old in the car. Not safe! Now my warranty is expired and I'm stuck driving around a busted up car all because
The boys at Porter are qualified enough to simply diagnosis and fix a newer car. Sucks, was really hoping after 10 tried they would be able to fix and before my warranty was to expire. Don't be stupid like me and keep trusting in them. Go someplace else. You will regret it!!!
