My church home since 2007. Really enjoy the people here, the ambiance, the effort they make to create such a special experience for all that walk in the doors. A safe space for all people-- everyone has a spot here to be welcomed with open arms.

I went to this church for years when I was a college student at UNCW. I volunteered with the kids, and went to services every Sunday. When you start, you will not want to miss one. Every week I left feeling like I learned something, and that Pastor Mike could really relate the bible to life. I still watch every service online from the RTP where I live now. I miss this church so much!!! I would encourage anyone considering going back to church to try PC3 out. There is a non-judgmental atmosphere, and you can be as involved- or not!- as you want. This church literally changed my life, and is the best one I have ever attended. If you are stressed about how busy the parking situation gets, just come early and park in the spots on the side of the road or in the wooded area. I never had a problem getting out of those.

This church is great! As a singer, I look forward to starting my day with going into church and singing out loud with the band to contemporary Christian music that's always on K- Love. They rock it out with some really inspiring music every Sunday But, no one rocks anything out more that Pastor Mike!!

He is one of my most favorite pastors of all time. He's very modern, funny and full of positive energy. His stories about being a husband and Dad are often very sweet and moving but most always have a bit of humour in them to make you smile and say...Ive been there too! He really gets to the heart of the message and makes you feel what he is trying to get across to you. He always makes sense at the end even if in the beginning, you don't know where he's headed with his stories and examples. His words are truly inspiring and make you go home for a week and think about the meaning of the message. I always want to come and hear the next thing he's going to say. Church is never boring at Port city with Pastor Mike. The members love his messages so much, they are almost disappointed when it's not him giving the message, I know I always am but.... It is very obvious that he chooses the other speakers very carefully!

One guy was there a few months ago, and I literally believe his day job was stand up comedy. He was great, and his message about missions was even greater! Very moving on many levels. At the end though, the Pastor came out and thanked the speaker, and in my opinion it was just to let us know he wasn't far away. He really cares about the church and everyone who attends, speaks, and preforms. He's truly a modern day man of God speaking from the Bible , inspired by the Holy spirit with a heart for the people bigger than the entire church and congregation. Hes a rare type of awesome.

The really fun thing about this church aside from the obvious is, all of the different small groups. They have a small group for everything and everyone! They also have summer camp for kids that is better than any Christian summer camp except Camp Willow Run in Littleton NC. And it's at least equal to that sort of Christian sleep over camp fun/ experience! My son can NOT wait to go. Space is limited in the camps because they are so great so, you have to move fast on getting your child signed up.

Over all I think Port City community church or PC3 as the members call it, is where you are gonna feel the presence of God and feel the Holy spirit moving in a big ways whenever you are there. There are thousands of members but, most everyone in the thousands is super friendly and caring. Oh bonus...Free cups of coffee to wake you up! With flavors!!! And awesome children's churches and child care rooms to put your child in so that you can really focus on the experience, while gifted youth pastors and helpers teach your child about God in a way that they feel is fun and makes sense to even the smallest member.

If you never at least check this church out, you are missing out BIG time on a great church experience. This is one of my favourites. I give it 10 stars out of 5.

It is a large and beautiful church with a balcony...The Praise and Worship time is ok...The lights r very low during the Praise and Worship...Tambourine playing is not allowed in the congregation...The Pastor is a teacher, so his sermons r very good and thought provoking...The people r mainly kind...There is a separate church for children...They have handicap parking...I would recommend this church to a friend.

This church changed my life more than once. Its more than a church. They teach you to be happy and live a good life. They don't look down on you and you can wear anything. Its just positive and peaceful

Great outgoing volunteers workers coupled with relevant, impactful Biblical teaching. I started going the week after Hurricane Florence and have finally found a home church. They are constantly reaching out to the community. You can't help but feel welcome here.

Went to a local church this morning and was treated rather unkindly... On the way home, I decided to stop by Port City Community Church. My experience, was totally different; the environment at Port City Community Church was friendly yet relaxed. The sermon was great, not to mention the praise and worship was second to none!

Port City Church - What a welcoming feeling from the moment you pull into the parking lot to the time you hear Word of God. The music at the beginning of service will inspire you. The messages are Bible-based, truthful, thought provoking and most of all inspires you to grow closer to Christ.
The staff and volunteers are joyful, inviting.

Port City Community Church is an excellent church to attend if you are a college student or a married adult (with or without kids). However, as a twenty something year old I have not found my niche within the church.

I recently moved to Wilmington just over a year ago for my new job, and after asking my coworkers where to attend I was told Port City. I discovered that at the time there was a small group of young adults that were meeting outside of the church, but within a few weeks of my arrival the group fell apart. A new group has not been started in its place. I continue to attend as I know it s the right thing to do, but I sit in the back and often times feel out of place. I wish they did more for people my age.

This is a very large Church. To where you can get involved in many ways, ie the host team, production team, grow zone, treasure island, tsunami effect, overflow. The last four opportunities to volunteer are all dealing with kids. It's the best way through influence through God and the kids minds

This church is amazing! Some people get intimidated by size of the congregation, but it really is one big family. I've never felt judged at PC3. I enjoy being able to watch the service online when I'm unable to attend.

If you haven't found "the right " church for you & your family. Try out this one. We were in the same place, none just seemed to feel right until we came here & it felt like what we were looking for this whole time. Highly recommend coming & see what its about.
