I really want to give this 4 stars but can't bring myself to do it. First off, the presenters and staff are fantastic- its an awesome way for students for put themselves through College. However, a few shortcomings- first off since everything is outside and its extremely hot, water should be provided. You feel taken advantage of having to buy $3 water bottles all day long so you don't pass out from the heat. And talking about money grabs, they took a picture of us before the Luau then offered us the picture but wanted $40!! LOL. Who pays $40 for a picture. Relax..we already paid $120 just to get in. Also, the food isn't good- probably the worst we had while in Hawaii-- the pork is the only thing worth getting. Lastly, there was an Indian man trying to peddle his $10 pineapple and Pina colada smoothies all day long. He must have asked my girlfriend and I 10-12 times throughout the day for us to buy one. Still- these negative comments are nit picking I will admit. I learned tons about Polynesia and had for the most part a great time. Is an ideal place to bring your children to do some family friendly cultural learning. Definitely go to Simoa, the gentleman who did the presentation was hilarious. But overall, the day is too long. Useless 3 hours between dinner and the show. So yeah, 3/5. Would be a 4/5 had there not been so many "money grabbing" moments

Over priced goods that weren't well known by the young vendors. 99% of the bone carving wa average, very over priced and stated to be made of "whale bone" which 99% wasn't! Also note that it is a Later Day Saints venture so want keen on supporting this organisation.

Very fun and educational. I learned a lot about the cultures of the Pacific islands. The buffet dinner was ok, nothing 5 star. If you're looking for Polynesian dishes, try the luau instead. The live show was amazing! Great production quality and a dazzling but respectful presentation of the various Polynesian cultures. Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience. The Polynesian cultural center is a great way to learn a bit about a bunch of Polynesian cultures, from Hawaii, Samoa, Tonga, Tahiti, Aoteroa, and others. Good for the whole family. And the luau was wonderful as well!

Everything was wonderful! We had the Ambassador tour so they took us around to all the attractions. The student/workers were so talented, polished and funny in their performances. The food was delicious! A wonderful aloha spirit permeated the whole experience.

This place is great. It's educational, the staff is actually from the countries they teach you about, and some of the proceeds to towards scholarships for the staff. I learned a lot, had fun, and would go back a third time. This is a place you could spend all day at and still not be able to see it all. The buffet dinner was a lot better than expected. The poke and roast were my favorite items. The staff was nice and helpful, and the shows were all a lot of fun!

The Perfect place for Hawaiian Culture Entertainment. My family visits here every year and the just love everything this place offers. The Luau is among the best in the island and the Grand Finale at the end gave us a glimpse of how ancient older Hawaiians were before. The food at the Buffet were delicious and lots of pork. Can't beat the all you can eat poke!!! They have amazing imu and lechon. Loved the poi that we all ate with the meats. The pineapple drink was worth the buy. The entertainment and education we got never gets old especially the ones from tonga. Love this place!!#

Great full day activity with the family. Opens at noon. During the afternoon walk around to the different islands and participate in activities and presentations about their different cultures. There s drumming, fire making, basket weaving etc. there s a cool boat show in the afternoon on a river through the property. In the evening there s multiple luaus depending on your ticket type and then a big show after that with amazing fire dancing etc. Be sure to go to the Samoan section for your sweet tattoo for the day :)

The market square that s attached to the pcc has some neat shops and great vendors.
Be sure to try Mango Otai at Fiafia farms smoothie stand- it s delicious. The Malasadas at Penny s are also legendary! Some fine treats to mix up a day of fun and adventure.

We had a BLAST. I suggest splitting this trip into two days to REALLY enjoy each village and take in the culture. If you don't, take the time to check all the show times and plan accordingly. We choose to do the show and ALL the activities at Samoa & Aotearoa. We wanted to make sure we caught the Village show on the water. We definitely will be returning this summer.

We were really impressed with the variety of what there was to see and do here. The majority of the staff/performaners are university students and they are very talented and friendly! We could have spent a lot more time here. The presentations in the village exhibits are fantastic and I would highly recommend them. The Luau was very enjoyable, particularly the buns and the pork and we had constant performances to watch while we ate. As if we hadn't already done enough we also got to see the evening show which was a great way to end the evening. This centre is as the name says it's not all about Hawai'i, but also about Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, Tahiti, Aotearoa (New Zealand) and others!

Always a pinnacle of our visits to Oahu, excellent representation of various cultures hosted by fantastic students. The luau is good, but the Ha, Breath of Life evening show cannot be beaten by anything on stage or screen.

The cultural experience is fun but unless you are interested in visiting the University, half a day is enough time here. See performances and do some activities. The buffet is just ok and the show is a bit boring. Doing a good luau on the island would be a better choice.

This place is a must visit for anyone who is visiting Oahu. Take the entire day, because exploring the Polynesian 'countries' is equally awesome as the evening show. The park opens at noon, which should give everyone enough time to visit every exhibit/demonstration/lecture/show/craft/activity. The staff are genuinely friendly. Everyone is knowledgeable, helpful, and happy. I can't recommend this park enough.

It's a nice way of experiencing the cultures of the different Polynesian islands. There are lots of demonstrations and shows, the hosts are always hilarious. The canoe ride is also worth it. It's a lot more like a theme park than I expected though - because of this I wouldn't recommend the super touristy Luaus here, but rather something like the Toa Luau. So just get the cheapest package online, it's expensive for what you get as is.

Giving 4 stars because the owners of park are very nice and even donate a good portion of the park income to the Hawaiian students employed there.

Honestly, its very crowded, hot, but the shows are very well executed by the students.
Though I felt that some acts were a little too dangerous, and I felt uncomfortable watching.

Definitely grab a pina colada in a pineapple, a meat pie, and a coconut (then finish the coconut and bring it back and ask them to open it so you can eat it).
See the river show and the drum show, and stop by the gift shop, but then I'd just go.

A fantastic place to learn about Polynesian culture in an engaging way. Our guide, Noy, was detailed and ensured that we got the maximum out of the time that we spent there. Definitely worth a look if you're in the area and looking to spend a day learning about Polynesian culture.

We took the Ambadsador Circle Island Tour and Polynesian Cultural Center. Our driver/ tour guide on the Circle island tour was exceptionally knowledgeable. Enjoyed his vignettes. We had a small tour group with a young lady as our tour guide at the Polynesian Cultural Center who treated us as family. It was well worth the price of admission . "He, the breath of life show " was awesome.

I went with a plan with dinner and a show. It's not cheap, but it's fun overall, so I recommend going there once.
The atmosphere is good and I enjoyed it just by looking around the store. Souvenirs are available from affordable to authentic.
The meal was a buffet. It was delicious to eat the crab on the included butter!
The show was very gorgeous with dance, fire and water. I went without prior knowledge, but I felt that the atmosphere was similar to Disney's Moana. The story is perfect if you understand English, but even if you do not understand it, it seems that you can understand it somehow in the atmosphere.
It was interesting that there was a statue that could only be seen as a beat! (Everyone was taking pictures)

Has Polynesian Football Hall of Fame! The show Ha! Breath of life is beautiful. Skip the buffet, terrible. Also it is odd because it is run by the Mormon church, who "tamed the heathens" So it feels weird to celebrate the beauty of the Polynesian culture while seeing how religion and non Polynesian people changed the islands and the islanders beliefs.

About Polynesian Cultural Center

Polynesian Cultural Center: A Journey Through the Heart of Polynesia

The Polynesian Cultural Center is a world-renowned attraction located on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Voted as the #1 Oahu attraction, it brings to life the spirit of Polynesia through its six authentic Polynesian villages, luau, and evening show. The center is a non-profit organization that aims to preserve and promote the culture, arts, and traditions of Polynesia.

The center covers an area of 42 acres and features six different villages representing different islands in Polynesia - Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, Tahiti, Aotearoa (New Zealand), and Hawaii. Each village has its own unique architecture style and cultural practices that are showcased through interactive exhibits such as canoe rides or traditional games.

One of the highlights of visiting the center is experiencing their award-winning Ali'i Luau. This traditional Hawaiian feast features an all-you-can-eat buffet with dishes like kalua pig (roasted pig), poi (taro paste), lomi salmon (salmon salad), haupia (coconut pudding) among others. The luau also includes live music performances by local artists who showcase their talents through hula dancing or playing instruments like ukulele or guitar.

After dinner at Ali'i Luau comes Ha: Breath Of Life - a spectacular evening show that tells a story about Mana - a young boy's journey to find his place in life while discovering his heritage along the way. The show features over 100 performers who dance hula or perform fire knife dances while wearing colorful costumes that represent different cultures from across Polynesia.

Apart from these main attractions at PCC there are many other activities you can enjoy during your visit such as learning how to make leis or coconut husking demonstrations which give visitors an insight into daily life in these islands.

The center also offers educational programs for students who want to learn more about Pacific Island cultures including workshops on music & dance lessons taught by professional instructors from each village.

In addition to being an amazing tourist destination for visitors from around the world PCC also serves as an important cultural institution for locals living on Oahu island where they can learn more about their own heritage while sharing it with others too!

If you're planning a trip to Hawaii then be sure not miss out on this incredible experience at PCC!
