Insightful place to take visiting family members. The people who work there are happy to answer questions and tell you about themselves and their culture, it's always interesting to learn and expand your views. And you can come back for 3 days, just with one ticket! So take your time and enjoy the peek into Polynesian culture!

Loved it! Highly recommend the Ambassador or Super Ambassador, each village didnt dissapoint we were entertained all day, never bored. Luau show was great, didnt like having to be put at a table with a bunch of strangers, food is decent but not gourmet.Overall we really had a great day, plus by going you are supporting the kids attending Brigham young university.

My family and I did the Polynesian Cultural Center on our last full day in Hawaii. It was such a great experience! We had a tour guide named Ma and he did a great job taking care of us! It was memorable to see different Polynesian cultures and how they united in Hawaii. My family did the Prime Rib buffet and the food was so good! We also saw the Breath of Life show and it was so fantastic! I would love to come back again!

Such an awesome experience. This was our first time visiting here. I would strongly recommend doing the ambassadors tour if it's your first time. I would be there by 11:15 am to park and check in. Where comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle plan to be there from 11:30 til 9pm. It is well worth the full dsy experience. Our tour guide was Bella and she was outstanding, it was her last day because she just graduated college. I would definitely go back again.

There is probably only one place in the world where you can learn about so many cultures in such fun way in such a short amount of time. The college kids that work here do a great job of taking care of you and helping you learn. I highly recommend the tram to the Laie LDS temple, but plan on spending more than 20 minutes on the temple grounds and in the visitor center. We did the full monty with the Luau and the show at Pacific Theatre. I'd give it four stars if it wasn't so expensive and five if it only took six hours instead of 9 plus.

This is my first time to Hawaii. The PCC is a great place to learn about the culture of the islands. The employees are super kind and have a positive attitude. The evening show, Ha - Breath of Life, is a spectacular show. Thanks to the PCC I had a wonderful and a memorable experience in Hawaii.

This was a great experience! It was easy to spend the entire day here. There are shows and demonstrations going constantly, the people there are extremely friendly and seem excited to share what they know about their culture, and the setting is nothing short of picturesque. The buffet at the end was decent, but I would recommend going to the luoa. The final show of the night was definitely the highlight. The story is beautiful, the performers are on point, and each act stands out in its own unique way. Make this a part of your trip, you will not regret it.

Had a great time with my wife,Its very cool to see the different villages and their cultures, every show was incredible and the talented people who work there are mostly students from around the world. It really is an experience. The only thing I regret is that I didn't know how long it would take to see it all , so we did it on our last day in Oahu..... could have gone for the three days they recommend....

Interesting place where they show the diverse cultures of what Polynesia is. It can be reached early, although at night there is a very good show, so it depends if you want to spend the whole day there, or just the afternoon. They have several shows that are presented periodically.

Amazing place. I came here in 2000 and 19 years later it is still just as amazing and magical as it was back then. They have upgraded and expanded but the atmosphere is still just as amazing. Learning and experienceing all the cultures and islands were once in a lifetime. I will tell all my friends to come here.

Really a great experience! I would recommend putting this Poly Center on your list for a "must do once." Well organized, fun activities for kids and parents alike. If you go during the hot season, make sure you prepare - hotter than 10 hells there!

The PCC or Polinesian Cultutal Centre, first opened its doors in 1963, for students at the adjacent Church College of Hawaii (now Brigham Young University Hawaii) to earn money for their education and as a means to preserve and portray the cultures, art and crafts of the people of Polynesia. The centre has grown to become Hawaii's number-one paid attraction, showing the public the rituals, culture facts, ways of life of the Polynesian people by an array of activities, shows, songs and live dances which take place every day. (except Sundays/bank holidays). You will also see real village replicas of the seven countries which form part of the centre, New Zeland, Samoa, Tahiti, Fiji, Marquesas, Tonga and Hawaii. When visiting the PCC with the tour you will get inclusive of meals, canoe ride and evening show. (price aprox $90 per adult).

The best cultural education site in the world. Participatory demonstrations occur daily. Factual. Employees are from the islands that they represent and are students at BYUH. The best show, luau and cultural center in the world. If you can't go to the south pacific, the PCC is a great introduction to the pacific island people and culture. A must visit when visiting Hawaii.

Great experience, the staff were all very friendly. There is a la carte items to purchase even though it does not show that on the website. It was a full day of activities, we were unable to see everything so returned the next day to do the tram tour of the BYU campus and LDS temple, worth going back for. The luau food was all very good, and the evening show was enjoyable.

The guide on our Ambassador tour was excellent, but the cultural presentations were not all interesting and I particularly did not like the practice of getting people from the audience to participate in embarrassing activities. The prime rib dinner was very good. The Breath of Life show was hard to follow unless you had read the leaflet about it beforehand. The dances were too long. At times it seemed like an excuse to string a lot of dances together with no story. The presentation of Thai history we saw in Phuket last year was much better. Overall, it was disappointing as we had expected a better day's entertainment.

Pretty gimmicky, the marketplace is small and the food is average. The Breath of Life show was interesting but slow, fire show at the end of it is cool though. If you're staying in Waikiki, I don't think it's worth the drive - can get a better experience at a nearby luau.

Such a fun place, with a lot of learning and entertainment, great family vacation spot, if you go there, be sure to buy "ambassador" package, it's worth the extra cost, the tour guide will maximize your efficiency of show time arrangement, if you try to run by yourself, it's very hard to attend all the show available in mere 5 hours, unless you have being there several times. Besides, it comes with the awesome dinner buffet. It's much better place than Sydney, and several of the show are so funny, I laughed non stop.

Very educational and interesting. The staff and performers were awesome. Everyone there was so kind. The various islands of the Polynesian cultures were well represented with the stories, music and performances. The night show is an absolute must-see. We will be talking about this experience for a long time to come. We highly recommend the Polynesian Cultural Center to anyone visiting Oahu.

What a great experience. My family only had a day in Honolulu, so we decided to spend it here. A day is definitely not long enough to fully visit and participate in each village s activities. Although I will say the admission is also very expensive and we did not purchase a meal option. The river parade is a must see and so is having a smoothie in a pineapple :)

So much to do here! It was hard to watch the mid day show because of the heat, could have been bc there was no breezy. The luau is tasty and the evening show is really good! We went a few years ago and I felt like the show improved but maybe I just got older.

Show was amazing. The so called all you can eat buffet is not really all you can eat. You get one hour for the buffet but the pig is only served for the first 15 minutes and then taken away. If you happened to get a plate from a different buffet line you are out of luck for getting some pig. Is a lot of money to pay for all you can eat buffet when is really not an all you can eat buffet.

Impossible to see all of it in one day. Does not open till 12:00. Luau is not a typical luau. Buffet style food that has not been labeled so you do not know what is on buffet. Show for dinner was good but you were rushed out. 1 hour to eat and then rushed out. The programs at the actual island were great. Performers were knowledgeable and very talkative when asked questions about their specific island. Skip the luau and visit the islands.

There are traditional food options which blew my mind! I wish I tried the hollowed out pinapple drink like you see in the movies.

About Polynesian Cultural Center

Polynesian Cultural Center: A Journey Through the Heart of Polynesia

The Polynesian Cultural Center is a world-renowned attraction located on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Voted as the #1 Oahu attraction, it brings to life the spirit of Polynesia through its six authentic Polynesian villages, luau, and evening show. The center is a non-profit organization that aims to preserve and promote the culture, arts, and traditions of Polynesia.

The center covers an area of 42 acres and features six different villages representing different islands in Polynesia - Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, Tahiti, Aotearoa (New Zealand), and Hawaii. Each village has its own unique architecture style and cultural practices that are showcased through interactive exhibits such as canoe rides or traditional games.

One of the highlights of visiting the center is experiencing their award-winning Ali'i Luau. This traditional Hawaiian feast features an all-you-can-eat buffet with dishes like kalua pig (roasted pig), poi (taro paste), lomi salmon (salmon salad), haupia (coconut pudding) among others. The luau also includes live music performances by local artists who showcase their talents through hula dancing or playing instruments like ukulele or guitar.

After dinner at Ali'i Luau comes Ha: Breath Of Life - a spectacular evening show that tells a story about Mana - a young boy's journey to find his place in life while discovering his heritage along the way. The show features over 100 performers who dance hula or perform fire knife dances while wearing colorful costumes that represent different cultures from across Polynesia.

Apart from these main attractions at PCC there are many other activities you can enjoy during your visit such as learning how to make leis or coconut husking demonstrations which give visitors an insight into daily life in these islands.

The center also offers educational programs for students who want to learn more about Pacific Island cultures including workshops on music & dance lessons taught by professional instructors from each village.

In addition to being an amazing tourist destination for visitors from around the world PCC also serves as an important cultural institution for locals living on Oahu island where they can learn more about their own heritage while sharing it with others too!

If you're planning a trip to Hawaii then be sure not miss out on this incredible experience at PCC!
