Parents and first-time visitors to Hawaii are advised to go unconditionally, and even if you spend more money, it is a good idea to purchase a ticket with a guide. It seems to be the option to enjoy the most to meet up to the time of the boat parade at the latest. I was worried about visiting in the rain, but I liked the fact that I gave out the raincoat for free.

The luau is fun & fantastic food, top cuisine. "Ha, The Breath of Life" show was fast paced with fantastic preformaces by many if the indigenous people groups representated in the Polynesian cultures. This was a great way to spend an evening, and they allow free admission back within the week too!

Beatrice was our guide and she was lovely. Lots of fun activities and entertainment. As expected, it was a bit pricey, but lots of interesting exhibits and performances. I'd definitely recommend bringing your family for a full day adventure! Don't forget the evening show!

Show/performance was great. Hawaii in IMAX was good, air conditioned and comfortable. Allow at least 3 hours minimum to allow adequate time to visit all The options. The Will call wait line was awful (20+ min) with ONE agent working it. They gave our tickets to "someone else" (wrong person) who turned them in at the Welcome Center so our 20 min wait was even more senseless. Parking was okay at best, we needed a handicapped spot and all the were taken; a golf cart for guest transportation would be a nice addition for those who have to park far away and need some assistance. Definitely a one-time visit.

This is a great experience!!! Kids loved all the hands on demonstrations. Im born and raised in these islands so i respected & really loved what each culture had to offer and its authenticity however the Alii luau was horrible, poke (raw fish) was old, absolutely nothing made with coconut? No laulau no squid luau no fried fish? Us hawaiians used coconut for so many things and to not find it was sad. Laulau is a staple hawaiian food so for it to be non existant at a Hawaiian buffett was just wrong lol.

This place is great. The exhibits we're wonderful and the people were very helpful. The luau was ok, the food was hit and miss, the purple rolls are awesome. The exhibits had a great mix of entertainment and education. The big show at the end was a good balance of action and drama. As a side note the Brigham Young group owns and operates this place with students attending the university. There is nothing wrong with that, but the bus tour was a little misleading. I wanted to learn a bit of background about the university, the history of the cultural center, and the beautiful church they have there. The only problem I had was that once you get to the church the bus leaves and you are stuck there for 15-30 minutes. At which time they usher you into a visitor center where they try and convert people to Mormonism. I will be back, but definitely going to avoid the bus tour next time.

It was a force. As part of a small group tour we were guided by a very competent and nice guide through the facility and the individual topics. Was very interesting. Then we participated in the Luau with Dinner-Lifeshow. The food was set up as a buffet. You could go to the buffet as often or as little as you wanted. Some guests thought, that you only once allowed. Unlike the masses of food on the plates were not explainable. The evening show "Ha, breath of life" stunning. Colorful costumes, well staged and the show with live music ... You have to see it. It is worth it .. Alo'ha from O'ahu m. and p.

What was our best experience? The Alii Laua dinner and Ha, The Breath of Life. The Laua was the highlight though! The greeting at the entrance, receiving a lei, a photograph (which we purchased because it was a happy moment), the setting with the open sky stage, the performance, the seating (we were near the front), the pineapple drink which my wife and I shared, young performers who were excellent, couples invited to the stage to be honored on their anniversary or birthday, the variety, quality and presentation of the food. My wife and I felt so honored to attend and treated so royally. So many staff to make this a memory we treasure.

So fun and educational. There is so much to do, you can't do it all in one day, so definitely take the time for a couple/few days. The workers are all really talented and all the shows are really enjoyable. If you go, definitely purchase tickets for a luau as well. It's delicious and a good show too. A must see on Oahu.

This is my second time at PCC and we finally got annual passes. I love the staff! They are super friendly . Towards the end we went to go watch Ha and what made it extra special is one of the vendors was super sweet enough to offer to hand-deliver fresh popcorn to my son because he was totally out. This is such a great place with so much Aloha and the way they teach others of how they lived. The kids enjoy playing activities at each Village. I hope they grow to respect every culture and teach others what they know.

The place is run top notch and the experience was great. However, we were unaware of the total ownership of the PCC by the Mormon church. The focus on Utah and putting Mormon visitors front and center, giving them preference and calling attention to them was frankly a little off putting. It tainted an otherwise great experience. Mark 9:35 "And He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all. "

Three major things: The centre - very large place and lots to do. We had three hours and still did not get to see two islands. We had a tour guide who was very helpful and guided us to the best stuff to make the best of our to.e. Don't miss the show they hold on the pond in the middle. Luau - very delicious and large variety of Hawaii cuisine! Excellent entertainment. Ha - fantastic show and display. Greatly enjoyed. Over a long and tiring day but a worthwhile experience.

Our PCC guides were hilarious. They were students from Tahiti I believe. They were warm, friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great time laughing, enjoying demonstrations, culture (in dance, music and language) and food (no issues, I loved the buffet). The "HA" show was wonderful. I think my kids would have enjoyed it too. I like the theme of family because that's what life is all about. I did not find it boring like some have mentioned.Hope to bring the rest of family next time.

This is a great place to learn about Polynesian Culture! While yes, it's expensive and very out of the way for most people, I would say it's worth it. The only thing I do not like about the place is the fact they do not serve any alcohol because the place is run by the LDS Church. Not a huge deal though.

If you are visiting Honolulu I definitely recommend taking the time to visit the Polynesian Cultural Centre in Laie. My partner and I booked a shuttle that picked us up from Waikiki in the morning and took us to the centre. We did our own guided tour where you can walk around the different villages for the live shows which are very entertaining. My highlight for the day was the Luau and the night show "The Breathe of Life" is a must! It is the best live Polynesian show you'll find in the whole world.

I visited as a stop on a bus tour. Went to the marketplace and had lunch in the restaurant. Apparently there is more; a show which is an additional cost. A nice place to visit and learn about the different Polynesian cultures. The paths are cement and easy for those with mobility difficulties to get around. An enjoyable afternoon

The food was pretty good, the entertainment was great. But whatever you do, do not jump on the free shuttle tour. They tell you they're taking you for a tour of the cultural center and they drop you off at the Mormon Temple, then they leave you there for over 20 minutes! It was completely unexpected, they never mentioned that they would drop you off there, they just pull up and say everybody off.

A MUST see destination if you visit Hawaii. This is an all day experience so plan accordingly. It's a little over an hour drive from Honolulu. Ticket prices vary greatly. ($70-$250 per person). There is a ton to see and do. Take your time and enjoy the entire experience. Dinner is great (at 5:00) - either a buffet or a luau with dancers. The show at 7:00 is AMAZING! A definite must see! It goes until 9:00. Great gift shops. Clean and tons of things to do and watch.

This place is amazing like everyone says and is definitely worth visiting. Make sure you have a full day here and you're dressed well because it gets very hot as there is almost no shade here. I would recommend getting the app they have so you know where you are and are able to find what's happening at what times easily.

A place worth visiting. Cross-section of the entire Polynesian culture in a nutshell. It is worth staying at the proverbial Luau where you can taste traditional Polynesian dishes like roasted piglet. "HA" is worth recommending - a breath of life that touches you every time.
