Great new exhibit , nice surprise to see the Detroit Zoo upgrading and adding new facilities

New building featuring a penguin walk through. Come face to face with penguin living and swimming from a sheet of glass away. Walk down and view underwater creatures through boat windows, whale/squid/dolphin. Enjoyable for the whole family!

Amazing place, early 2020 closed for reconstruction, but after that, must-see whenever you are nearby

So fun! There are several types of penguins in the conservatory. It was fun to watch them interacting and moving around each other. There is a tunnel to walk through that gives a great view of swimming penguins. Really enjoyed that perspective! Enjoyed the available benches there too!

Located it, a lot of nice touches, with the boat projection, and under the water feel.

What I don't like about the newer Pequinarium is that you have to wait in line to see the peqins on the top floor. Not as much window area as before. Or go down 3 floors to see them swimming
A lot of walking inside . I like the old one and wish they had updated it.

I love this place! My only gripe is that people have a tendency to etch their name in the glass. Nice things don't last around here.

I heart the penguin exhibit. It's so good. The multi tier setup and explanation if artic life are super cool! Kids love it, adults love it! If aliens invaded, they would give it at least 3 out 5.

Awesome penguin viewing. They monitor so it isn't overcrowded.

Amazing! Knowledgeable staff, great views of the penguins above and below the water. They are building nests at this time of year and they are provided with pebbles to collect for that purpose. It's wonderful to see them carrying the pebbles around in their beaks!

It's part of Detroit zoo, it's not a huge place but it's well maintained and underwater view is nice.

My husband and I did a penguin mingle as our Christmas gift to each other this past December. It was very expensive compared to other zoos we looked into but well worth the price. It was just the two of us in the room with the zoo keepers, they only let people into the room that you bring in your group. None of the penguins are forced into the room, it's just an open door off their enclosure, so none of them seem stressed or like they don't want to be there. We got nearly an entire hour with the penguins and were allowed to sit on the floor with them and pet and feed them. The staff were very generous about letting us take pictures/use our go pro, and took some pictures of us too. Definitely worth it for any penguin lovers, much better program than any of the other zoos I researched. Can't recommend enough.

Our children love the seeing the penguins. Great addition to the Detroit Zoo!

Very cool lay out. I especially loved the flawless integration of video projection and live animals.

My little ones loved it and we can't wait to go back

There are so many cute little penguins. There are always at least a few that are very active for my son to especially enjoy on our frequent visits.

Beibg underwater watching the penguins are such a cool experience

Beautiful exhibition, one of the few good exhibitions in Detroit zoo.

Best exhibit at the zoo, and one of the best zoo exhibits I've ever seen. You can tell a lot of thought and planning was put into it. The views are great, it's super clean and fun!

I always love going to see the penguins, today we were lucky enough to get to see feeding time.

Great views of the penguins. Beautiful building. Very knowledgeable staff. Penguins are building nests out of rocks right now, which is amazing to watch.

Had a ton of fun with all the kiddos and of course Jenifer and Sarah! Weather turned out perfect! KIDS HAD A BLAST!

This was great. Lots of species of penguins ...and seeing them swim below the water is fantastic.

We ti.ed it just right it was feeding time and it was so neat to watch. My grandson loved it.

Amazing building, perfect for little kids to run around too.
