Beach Hotel, Zoutelande Review

Great location, good food, but breakfast buffet hopelessly crowded. 15 minutes for coffee.

We were there in January 2019. The house was undergoing extensive renovations at the time. When booking we were not advised. But OK.
However, there was no heating available in the bathroom. The heating in the room we could put up, but this was centrally controlled by the front desk and running.

Everything more than ok and excellent massage options. Breakfast is wonderful. Delicious no traffic. We will definitely be back!

We had a large room quite spacious. Personally I would have disposed otherwise the bed, but it is a matter of taste. I would say they should put at least a 2nd person in the morning to clear the tables at breakfast. Do not expect to have a huge choice but that's enough because everything was good.
The hotel is well located and quiet, will have to walk a good 10 min to get to downtown.

Very nice corner, short walk to the beach. Breakfast is very good from everything there. Rooms are ok so far except the bathroom since it must be done and the dogs at the food that does not have to be.

Super nice hotel, right on the dike. Very quiet . Hotel rooms are very nice and clean. And thee you can take in the hotel corridors yourself. Right on the bike away from Vlissingen to Domburg. Staff meeting serh help ready and friendly

I was with my son a long weekend here .... We loved the hotel room .... clean ... Big enough..modern..Personal friendly ... breakfast everything you need. . Fresh and delicious ... 10 minutes to the beach .. Man is from here quickly in Domburg. .West and East Chapel. .Middelburg is very beautiful ... all around I can highly recommend it..L. G

Have borrowed bicycles there. Very nice, polite and cheerful owner, also the price unbeatable low. Unfortunately, one of the 4 wheels did not work properly. Do e-bikes work great too ...

Nice hotel with very good location just outside the center so nice and quiet but within walking distance. Hotel has been nicely renovated and looks great. Staff is also very friendly and there is nothing else to say about it. Arrange everything at the hotel such as bicycle rental. Breakfast is tasty and lunch and dinner not tried. Also of course super nice how the four-legged friend is treated and how welcome they are in the hotel, very nice! Only why 4 instead of 5 stars is the bathroom, it is a bit out of tune.

- The rooms are in good shape, large enough to feel comfortable. Large LCD TV hanging in, lots of options for different lightning available as well.
- The bathroom could look a little bit newer, it seems that it's the only room which has not been renovated.

no / unstable wifi reception in room. reported this to reception and we have been told to do our work on the third floor. However, the WiFi did not work there either.
Day and night there was constant noise and suction in the bathroom and therefore also in the room itself. According to the staff, this was not possible. In the end it was thought that our fan was on, which we didn't have on.
Nothing was then done with it.
If you have good hearing, you should not go to room 206.
You break it off instead of it

It was fantastic. Nice room, also with an extra bed for our daughter. Coffee and tea facilities in the hallway on each floor. The food, breakfast, lunch and dinner was also very good!

Great hotel just minutes away from the beach. Very friendly staff, great breakfast and really nice and clean rooms! We would gladly stay here again.

Nice hotel, staff friendly, but it is very unpredictable when room service comes in and the windows are all not very clean. There were hair in the bed. Nice location and very good breakfast buffet. At the bar you can sit outside very well.

It was a nice, good hotel. Very luxurious and the breakfast was also very tasty. Unfortunately we did not eat in the restaurant in the evening.

Very nice and clean hotel in a modern (renovated) style. The rooms are not very large, but adequate, the facilities are great (fridge, safe, balcony). The free WiFi is fast enough at 27 Mbps.
There are free coffee drinks and tea from the machine in the hallway.

Breakfast is ok, but the choice could be bigger. The breakfast room is relatively small and it is very crowded.

The staff is very friendly.

Parking spaces are free and available in sufficient numbers. We got one every day.

The hotel also rents bicycles and they are in good condition. It is advisable to reserve this by telephone before arrival.

The location is perfect in Zoutelande, you can't get closer to the beach. It should be noted, however, that there is a very high dune between the hotel and the beach, which must first be overcome to access the beach. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. Due to the high dune, the hotel does not offer a direct sea view.

The Beach Hotel rents 5 small beach houses, which are equipped with sun protection and two loungers. The beach cabin can be locked so that you can leave your beach gear in the cabin. Here, too, it is advisable to reserve the beach cabin by telephone before arrival. We didn't get any more ourselves, they were all occupied. Luckily we found what we were looking for at another provider (Strandpaviljoen Valkenisse) and were able to enjoy a small beach hut.

All in all, a clear recommendation for this hotel.

Hotel is okay, rooms somewhat unimaginative and cramped. But everything was clean and functioning. Price on the high side, but that can be explained by the location close to the sea. Good breakfast!

Clean, good quiet location from which you can make beautiful walks, beautiful double deluxe rooms, very good and extensive dinner and breakfast. Service in the restaurant could be a bit better / friendlier.

Great hotel, great location, great service, ideal for dog owners

4 stars are eligible for location, meals, reception. 1 star for hygiene and cleanliness of the room service. Cobwebs in the bathroom and briefly wiped through the pool with the towels are not enough. The shower is inadequate with regard to the amount of water and the Bauhaus shower head. What additional sales could be made here if the atmosphere at the bar and in the restaurant were equipped with candles and napkins instead of floodlit LEDs ... Great: the condition of the rental bikes and the entire hotel organization!

Very friendly staff. The food in the restaurant is excellent. Spareribs were excellent. The salad with goat cheese and honey were delicious. There is also a cocktail menu. Hotel offers a coffee machine on each floor with free coffee in all variations. The rooms are very nice. Large TV in the room. Everything was very modern and tidy. Bicycles can be rented enough from the hotel.

First of all: we have been here several times and we will gladly continue to come. Of course, not everything is 100% okay, but where is it? The rooms are very noisy, both from the outside of the parking lot and from inside the hall. However, this is only really detrimental if someone calls at night at 2 necessarily with the speaker on or others use the door handle only to open a door and let them close when closing. The cleanliness is okay, even if some corner 'cleaned' around and dust on the closet has accumulated. In some rooms, the space between the bed and the bathroom door is a bit short. In the shower, I would have liked a bit more storage space, but that is whining on a high level. Although I always need one to two nights to get used to the mattress, but it is of good quality. The breakfast is ok, it is quickly refilled and the selection is satisfactory. The location of the beach hotel inspires me again and again. Just behind the dunes, just up a steep path and you are on the beach or in the beach pavilion De Zeuwse Riviera. In Zoutelande you are in about 10 to 15 minutes, either above the dunes or down the street. And for tours, whether by bike or car, the hotel is also ideal. I am looking forward to our next visit.

Every time you go in the elevator you can see the dirt between the elevator door. Dreck and paper. On the balcony is in the corners of the dirt and the Schmatter on the moldings. On the windows were still handprints and mosquitoes from the summer.
There was 1 shower gel for 2 persons. .For 7 days. ,

Clean, just hotel.

The hotel was renovated in 2016, when you walk around it looks like it was recently renovated. There are 66 rooms, almost all of them were occupied when we were there, you don't notice it's that 'big'. Dogs are welcome in the hotel, so you will not be bothered by this. We did not bring a dog and we also had a room where no dog was.

You can rent (electric) bicycles, daily at breakfast you can find information about the weather, outings / events in the region and the daily menu of restaurant De Walvis.

The hotel is about a 10 min walk to the beach. The hotel has been renovated and newly built. That looks beautiful. It lacks nothing. All this with very friendly staff what more do you want. We will definitely go back again. We enjoyed this in a very quiet place at this hotel.

Expected more from it.
Dated bathroom and noise from machines in our room (from the kitchen if necessary)
And no place at the breakfast room.
Everything was packed and you had to wait in line for another table to become available

The condition not friendly and not correct. The service had two soup plates in the hands with the long finger nails stuck in the soup and they said no to our comment. We were not offered a new soup. The dessert was served in different ways, although it was the same dessert. Once with whipped cream and others without. As a response, I got the answer "Oh is that so!", No apology or offer to deduct it from the bill. The cleaning staff did their job under all kinds of pigs (greasy fingers on doors, glasses under toothpaste, floor not cleaned, only after notice fresh towels etc). Cleaning staff had a cloth between the door and post pressed the hotel room left and thus the room the whole lunchtime left open and therefore accessible for everyone without supervision.

Due to these listed points, we have not had a nice holiday. We will NEVER return to the beach hotel and will recommend this to anyone. The four (4) stars did not deserve the hotel.

Well located great clean private parking .. Breakfast self-service .. Weird actually for 4 stars but more than OK. Half board is a 3-course menu for 24 euros .. Simple but sufficient.

Cozy hotel. Staff reception very friendly. Staff restaurant friendly but did not look that well cared for.

Visited in the summer of 2015. A warm and professional welcome, pleasant and tasty cuisine, well located for the beach and the center of Zoutelande. Really recommended, good value for money.
I am curious to see the renovation and expansion in real life, in the photos it looked impressive in the past year.

Location is particularly nicely located. After the renovation, this hotel meets all expectations. Very modern and attractive. Most pleasant staff and excellent service. Restaurant is really cozy and excellent.

Will be back as soon as possible. Nice welcome, excellent service and very good food, all in a beautiful location.

This is a fantastic discovery, a short drive from Brussels, the perfect weekend getaway. Well appointed, clean, good sized rooms, breakfast options. They even have a decent restaurant though there are plenty to choose from nearby.

Dogs are allowed but have to stay away from the restaurant at breakfast, the buffet format can be a bit chaotic at high season.
