Everything is perfect from service to infrastructure and lunch is exceptional

Unfortunately dissatisfied .. at breakfast which opened at 6.30 am there was a very tired breakfast lady / cook who really didn't feel like it. There was no time for an egg to be baked because the lady was still too busy to fill the warm dumplings and to bake bread. I am not a whiner but pay full price for breakfast and breakfast is just not ready yet. I think something really needs to be done about such a staff.

Breakfast in Valkens is simply delicious and extensive breakfast. Clear agreements about time and walking route.
When checking in, note the form with health questions and data. Well arranged
Compliments for the good organization with regard to t. the corona measures.
Van der Valk continues to get my preference. Whether you come to Groningen or Germany always top.

Arrival was good .... rooms tidy..but breakfast was a mess no distance, grab everything yourself, but not allowed to sit together.The bar inexperienced people ...

A nice hotel. We stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time in Maastricht. Wellness and pool are very pleasant. The staff are friendly and upon arrival we have received a welcome drink.

In itself nice room and good beds. Could only be in the room until 4.30 pm. The confirmation was really 14.00. But the girl behind the reception claimed from 2 p.m. But too few staff at breakfast. Far too many guests at breakfast. At dinner there were enough employees but the steak was not good. They indicated it, they took the steak. It was true he was very tough. Got coffee offered as a fee.

Nice hotel with a nice room! Rooms have been renovated and therefore very beautiful. 2 nights of great sleep.

A place to enjoy the reputation that this hotel chain is entitled to enjoy outside the bustle of the inner city.

Service was strikingly nice to the ascending ladies. Little attention was paid to a single gentleman.

large rooms but otherwise no special hotel the center is too far to walk they do have a shutteld service but that only go to the center on certain is the free back it always costs 8.50 euros. breakfast is excellent

Is like every falcon hotel. I have to admit that I don't care because I used to work at urmond. But food is neither good nor bad. And is much in bufet form. Are not always clear in answering questions and what they offer. And is sitting pretty close together in a large room. Quite attractive

Great food, nice hotel rooms with nice sanitary facilities, a pity was the weak ray of the rain shower ...

We regularly have lunch or dinner here. The restaurant or brasserie have different menus and opening times. This must be taken into account. It is best to go to the brasserie for a quick bite. The menu is small, but the dishes are tasty. However, the restaurant has a larger menu and it looks a bit more luxurious.

It is also nice to take part in the breakfast buffet. Great if, for example, you went hiking in the neighborhood on Sunday morning. You could then start brunching.

Downside was the recent experience in the brasserie. Because our famous Maastricht man Mr. Rieu played at the Vrijthof, the brasserie was closed earlier. The staff made this clear several times. We did not feel very welcome that evening. I would say a point of attention.

I will definitely come back here again.

Just had a delicious dinner at the Valk Maastricht. Good food and tasteful, only you will be served moderately in terms of drinks. That is a bit difficult. For the rest, wonderful hotel & restaurant

This excellent hotel is part of the Van der Valk Exclusive Hotels. Service is top as well as the kitchen and the business opportunities. And a plus is the super fast WiFi.

The hotel is located along the highway and a 15-minute walk from the station, great location. The rooms are currently being renovated, but you do not see and notice anything of it apart from a scaffolding along the facade. Except that the rooms are completely new!
The staff is very very friendly and the breakfast is extensive and very good.
The hotel is really recommended!

- bathroom sliding door quite heavy
- toilet light sensor not really handy

Good, friendly and not far from the city center. Great !!!

We slept well in the comfort suite, good beds and friendly staff.

The hotel has good facilities and amenities, but is located far from the center of the city.

Short summary says more than enough:

- bath with blood stains;
- bathroom full of specially curled hair that indicated that there had been a red-haired fellow human for us;
- cups that were used in which the dried coffee was still present;
- not a good word about for breakfast, corona measures ok, but this way has finally gone. We will no longer use this, because there are enough alternatives in the city where you are still treated as a human being instead of a prisoner.

We considered taking an extra day, we will not do this again.

I know other branches have arranged much better, this is completely unnecessary.

Next time again to the trusted location that has arranged it well.

Nice hotel, easily accessible so close to the highway. On arrival first on the terrace of the bistro enjoyed a beer. Then an extensive lunch buffet with freshly grilled fish and steak, among other things, highly recommended. The rooms are simply furnished. Good sound insulation, with the window closed the mouse is quiet. The curtains make the earth dark. Spacious bathroom with bathtub and separate shower cubicle. Everything clean and well executed. The swimming pool and saunas are wonderfully relaxing. All in all a nice hotel during our visit to Maastricht.

Good hotel shame about the wellness the pool and relaxation area were cold and the hot tub didn't work.

As is often the case in the Netherlands, we usually take a Van Der Valk hotel because of the nice and clean hotels, good food and friendly people.

October 2014: We went to Maastricht for a weekend with Hotel Van Der Valk MAASTRICHT as our base. Everything was done on foot from the hotel to the center of Maastricht (a nice walk of half an hour.)

There is also a shuttle service, but it is usually fully booked, it turned out.

We had a very nice room (507), but what was a bit of a disappointment was "the unpleasant smell in the pillows". It looked clean, but they smelled. (honestly), so we slept with a towel on our pillow.

In the morning (when checking out) they were not even asked how it had been (otherwise I would have raised it discreetly), but just for the people who came behind us, I thought it was "not really possible." not at home in a (luxury) hotel room.

But ..... Dinner and breakfast were (as always) very tasty and neat.
(maybe more STAR next time, but not really now.)

Stayed over here a few days for a work conference. Clean and neat hotel with good service. Transport easily accessible via the hotel or public transport. Maastricht conference centre within walking distance

Great hotel! The breakfast is highly recommended. The rooms are very clean and big. Parking is sufficiently available. Ideal starting point for a short vacation.

Hotel staff rude and not helpful, they acknowledge the issue with the room but haven't done nothing about

Some areas of the hotel look nice. Our room, however, was looking old. Scratches in the wallpaper, remote was gone, old carpet with stings.

For dinner we went to the restaurant. If you would like to have an informal dinner you should go to the brasserie.

Good business hotel easy to reach by car. Ample parking available. Good breakfast.

The hotel itself was pretty ok. The hallways somewhat outdated, but the room had good beds and everything one needs.

The parking space may be a little larger but when you enter it is very beautiful. the ceiling could be a little higher but there is nothing else to complain about, the music is not too loud, I also like that very much and they are very friendly
