Used Policy Expert in the past, made a claim on home insurance due to accidental damage to a Window. The claim was dealt with swiftly and professionally and I was very happy with the work. Just taken out a new policy with them.
Company recived my clear instruction 'do not charge my bank account for renewal ' because im not goin continue my home insurance with them. Guess what, they charge my bank account for renewal! Also they are not telling you about automatic renewal and higher charge.

Very easy process, I had the quote through money saving expert website and rest was completed online. Needed some add-ons to have better cover and still less than my previous year's quote by 50pound. Very pleased so far.

I would definitely recommend Policy Expert to family and friends. I found it easy to access a quote via comparethemarket.com. I submitted my details on the online form. Every question was very thorough. I found the form straightforward and easy to use. The quote was much cheaper than the renewal quote submitted by my previous home insurance company on a like for like basis'.

Taken out a home insurance policy effective from 19 November. Purchased via the Moneysupermarket site and it was very easy to navigate the completion and obtain the documents online. Can't comment on the customer service as yet because policy is not in force, and here's hoping we don't need to use it. The price was good value for the contents of the policy and there was a discount included from Moneysupermarket for taking both contents and buildings insurance.

Excellent value for money, really friendly and informative staff member who was able to take me through just the right level of information. Reason for 4 stars is due to the paperfree policy details, which is fine but it's causing difficulty getting the information as thought it would be emailed to me but instead I have to log into my account and it's saying the details are incorrect.

I have been with Policy expert for several years now and I must admit there is no pressure from them to renew, the details of your renewal policy are emailed to you in ample time to seek an alternative if you want to based on your needs but because the annual rise is moderate you are unlikely to get a better deal, hence I have renewed again.

My attempts to renew on-line only lead me to the page of 'Policy Expert Menu', and a large message 'the page you're looking for can't be reached'.
All attempts to contact you on-line from the headings or from your Main web page had the same result.
I eventually renewed by phone, and the service then was quite satisfactory (though I am 94 and quite deaf so that phone conversations are quite difficult for me). I then got confirmation of my renewal, and links to take me to the details. However, the links simply lead me to the same menu and message. I am having no difficulty with any other links and pages, from other sources, so my computer is behaving quite normally.
I have complained about this difficulty and I have had quite sympathetic responses, but no improvement in your IT performance.. Hence my 2* rating. I suspect the insurance policy works quite well, though I have not had need to test it (and I hope I shan't have cause to in the future).
I find this very frustrating, and if I had known the difficulty I was to encounter I would probably have changed my insurer, though I have insured with you for several years now. However, since I can't get connections to the details of my insurance, I would be glad to have a paper copy.

Been quoted for home insurance and spend few hour on the phone. I been offered some extra pack I no need, so I refused. After all I been told what I am not suitable for home insurance because my wife self employed. All this details was on the quote in the first place. This company wasted my time, been rude and completely not professional. I am strongly offering everyone choose other company and save your time.

Their home emergency is run by LIMemergency. Despite the document Policy Expert sent to me saying under what is covered, 1) Damage to or failure of the plumbing or drainage system where internal flooding or water damage to the property is a likely consequence. I was told when I called up due to a blocked drainage system under the kitchen which resulted in internal flooding and damage to the kitchen, that this was not covered by my policy. Waste of space, go with a real insurance company, not one that contracts everything out to others who will deny you are covered.
Pay attention to the fact that people claiming on their insurance and home emergency policies with this company have not had the best service. All 5 star reviews are people happy with low quotes, which you would be, but wait till you need to claim...
