Perfectly understandable to come in with high expectations and then leave feeling underwhelmed. The miniature mechanical machines (and maybe the vintage Polaroid cameras if you like photography) were interesting but all the other exhibitions didn t have any massive appeal and offered very little interactivity. I felt like I was visiting an art gallery instead of a science/tech museum. I was also disappointed that they haven't figured out how to manage the crowds at the ticket counter/gift shop. Shouldn't be rocket science, really.

According to the museum website, the museum is moving to a more spacious and high-tech space in 2021, not far from the current location. It'll be interesting to see what the new museum has to offer. In the meantime, it wouldn't hurt to improve the visitor experience in the current museum.

This museum is a great place for kids and adults. It is a fascinating blend of a science museum and an art museum.

The kinetic sculpture exhibit is incredible. Other major exhibits cover ship building and the history of Polaroid camera.

Parking is not provided, so you'll need to use a nearby garage or the street meters.

Pure amazing ! Just seeing the efforts on display and the thought that went behind each of the exhibits is jaw dropping. You want to spend as much time as possible in every exhibit and try and understand how it works. If you love science, you absolutely have to go to this place. Might even be a great place to take your teen kids to get them aspiring !

Wow! Very cool museum. My two boys 12 and 8 absolutely loved it. It s relatively small so I would plan about 2 hours to see everything. My kids loved all the robots and technology. The presentation on the slide ruler was fascinating. It s a great place to take the family.

I don't think it is worthwhile to spend $10 to visit this one-floor museum, unless one is very interested in the display in particular topic like "beauty of brain" when we were there. Basically, it's not close related to the creativity or the history of MIT.

It's relatively small but there are many fascinating things to explore and learn about. They have an exhibit where you're encouraged to play, and an "idea lab" with fun activities for all ages
