Amazing treatment from from the Employees there. I gave them the product name, and they gave me reliable information on which one is for which uses, and overall lovely staff. <3
Thanks to the expert staff who helped me get a great lens for my teen who is just getting started in the photography world. Lots of great advice and recommendations of tried and true models, as well as help me save some money with a discontinued model that was perfect for her. Great to know that there are experts out there who are willing to share their knowledge! You can t get that online people- and that s why I support our local small businesses!
Great staff, very helpful! They will give you individual attention and spend time helping you figure out what is right for you! You don't have to be a pro!Never felt like they were pushing me into buying anything, even when I came and left multiple times before finally making a purchase. I could have bought online, but I've made several big purchases there now and they have won my trust and loyalty! Highly recommend!
overpriced, but convenient. And staff are really helpful
I go to Hunt's in Cambridge for everything I don't buy online. They always take the time to help me, and give me good advice. They've recommended less expensive gear to me several times, and it's almost always been a good investment. They also help me learn how to use the things I buy there. I always leave feeling more confident then when I came in!
Good service. I photograph on film, and they have a good variety of stock (a bit expensive but hey-no need to wait for shipping!), their C-41 development and scan is very good, fairly priced, but the B&W development is sloppy and way too expensive.
Working with HUNT's was excellent. They are always very knowledgeable and helpful. I encourage anyone to use this wonderful company!
Useful for a pinch! But had to wait quite a while...
Very knowledgeable staff who made a point not to sell us something we thought we wanted that actually wouldn't have worked with our camera. Highly recommend.
Hunt's always, always, always has everything that I always need. So very helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable. Always my go to photography store!
I used Hunt's Photo for my Chinese visa. They were very professional and already knew the strict stipulations that the visa requires. I was in and out in 10 minutes. Great place!
They have what I need in stock most of the time, but runs at a very high price for a college kids budget. Tuition is so expensive, an throw this on top of a photo student's payments, and I'll have no money left. They are very nice there however, personable and friendly. I just wish it was more cost effective for myself.
Excellent customer service and great prices. Love it
Staff is nice and personable. They helped me out with an issue when I was just beyond the return policy, something that only a real camera store can do. Thanks guys!
Nice place. Hard to fine! And they couldn't repair my camera.
Great knowledgeable staff and more than willing to help and answer questions. Small location but good selection.
Still the best price to buy and develop film, they re usually faster than their estimates.
While in Cambridge, MA for a business trip over the past 4 days, I visited almost every camera store in the Boston/Cambridge area looking for something to purchase. This branch of Hunts stood out for the exceptionally helpful advice and general chat about lenses for micro four thirds cameras which I had with the manager. He really knew about what is on the market for this format, and gave me a lot of helpful advice about what lenses to go for which what are best value for money. Just a shame they had sold both the lenses I was looking for a couple of days previously. Will definitely visit again the next time I am in town.
Got my film developed here. Great job, friendly employees & reasonable price for prints. I got 26 shots out of my 24 roll but they only printed the 24 & didn't ask if I wanted all of them. Major downside is they only scan to CDs (or USB drives if you bring one in), which are pretty obsolete as far as today's PCs. Uploads to G Drive or Dropbox would be a great alternative.
Not a bad camera shop .. nice and friendly people...
Been going to this place for more than a decade; great staff, knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic, & supportive service
Incredible very knowledgeable they are my go to when it comes to photography and I recommend them to anyone who into photography or wants to get in and has questions about gear
One of my favorite places :) great people, great understanding of cameras and lenses, and they will work with you on any issues you have, unlike any online retailer. It will benefit you to build a good relationship with your local shop if you love taking photos or videos so you always have a place to go and kind people to assist you. Be kind and they return it tenfold
Wouldn t go anywhere else. Great people. Good service competitive prices and they re willing to help with strange situations or requests.
Great place to get your film developed. They have to ship it out but it doesn't take too long, or get all scratched up like at CVS, and the price is reasonable. Glad to have them around.
Really knowledgeable, low pressure, good guys and women.
Favorite photo store in Boston. Nice people and good used equipment.
Unbelievable customer service. Rob was extremely knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. I received a tripod as a gift and they were able to provide me with a store credit even though I did not have a receipt. This allowed me to purchase a camera for my son s graduation. I will definitely recommend this store to others and will be back for our next purchase.
The manager Jamie gave me a very good deal on a Nikon. I would recommend selling any old gear independently, but if that's not your thing, they're willing to take a look at what you have to offer.
The folks at Hunt's in Harvard are extremely knowledgable, patient, and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to go here for all my photography needs. Rob, in particular, is very helpful!
Knowledgeable, with a good assortment of equipment and service offerings. Good service friendly with expert and beginner alike.
Hunts is the only place I go for photo prints. Jamie really gets what she's doing and how to help get the best results.
Mars was so kind. I came in at 5.59pm (one minute before closing) needing passport photos urgently after all their equipment was shut down already. Mars went out of his way to help me. Thank you!
I buy most of my stuff at Hunt's (usually Melrose or Hanover) but whenever I'm in Harvard square I make sure to stop here. Great customer service, sometimes out of things I'm looking for. It's much smaller than the other Hunt's so they aren't able to carry as much.
I have always had positive experiences both with purchases and with extra help and support. The staff are great!
Great attendance. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and ordered some pieces that were available by Monday morning. Price was adequate to market.
My favorite place in the city to print Photos. They have the friendliest and most efficient staff. Jamie is incredible and super at making life easy and making sure all my printing needs are taken care of. Hunts uses their Dropbox account link in which I can add the photos and they are ready for pick as soon as possible. Best quality can t recommend this place enough!
The pricing here is egregious. The staff was friendly but there is little selection and in a place overrun by students its just too expensive. I find myself going online to save money more and more with Boston's in store prices rising like they have.
If you don't mind paying msrp. Other than the knowledgable information from the employees, there is no real incentive to shop here. Most reputable online retailers offer the same support with warranty issues but offer decent discounts as well as military discounts which Hunts does not offer.
Good thing I didn't have to drive all the way to Melrose they had what I was looking for at the Harvard Square store after I called to Kenmore Square store and they didn't have it
One of the last brick and mortar camera shops around. Very friendly staff and decent inventory of cameras and accessories.
Frantastic staff! Small store but had stock of the flagship Panasonic I was looking for. Again, great staff - very friendly and accommodating!
Went to the store in Cambridge and they are absolutely amazing. Hands down one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. I am terrible with names but the Manager was able to secure a sold out camera for me and even helped me sell the lens. Cannot say enough good things and this will be my go to store for cameras and accessories.
Small shop that has a touch of everything the big store in Melrose has. Was able to walking there with none of the worker ask if I needed any help (positive). From what I could hear from the workers helping other customers they are very knowledgeable.
What a great shop! Staff was extremely knowledgeable right down the the detailed specs of individual lenses. Inventory was remarkable, especially for a smaller store. Open late. Very happy to have it in the neighborhood.
My expectations were pretty low given that they have a few different locations (not quite a chain store), but the staff here were really excellent. It was pretty busy with only two people on but they really tried to do their best and attend to everyone. The quality of the prints I ordered is outstanding - couldn't be happier and they printed while I waited. Had a look around and they have very reasonable pricing. Smaller store so you can't expect them to have everything in stock. Will definitely be using them again for future prints.
Helpful staff, very knowledgeable and creative! I needed help producing a special gift and the staff nailed it!
Friendly, professional, helpful staff with a good selection of products and repair services. Parking is always challenging in Harvard Square, but this location is just down the street from the MBTA "red line" Harvard Square subway station.
Friendly, convenient, knowledgeable place for cameras. Prices the same as NYC!
I have always found Hunt's to be honest, and would believe that the guy claiming they cheated him is misguided. If you ever think a clerk or salesman hasn't done well by you in a place as reputable as Hunt's, go to the manager.
Small place with a good selection of cameras, lenses, parts, supplies, and accessories. Very knowledgeable staff. Prices are generally pretty good, with the expected markup on accessories. If something seems way too high in price, check online, but they generally stick to the MSRP.
Nice selection of camera gear for a reasonable price
Quality and care for the projects you may have. Small and big
Hunt's staff acted very friendly- but I think this was to mask the fact that they are out of their depth with selling medium ticket items,
I, wanting to buy local went to Hunt's which turned into a massive ordeal-
not having things in stock-
misleading me over the phone,
selling equipment which was misplace in the wrong box
misleading to stock availability - causing multiple return trips
after multiple request and assurances of items being in store - showing up and they aren't in store
final straw was trying to order a wacom tablet which the website clearly lists as available...even still- calling and having tell me there are none in stock...
guess what Hunt's you lost another customer!!
fix your website and train your staff better
