You people are mad because you.. Can't go back to your car? What are you doing going back at your car? Does Pocono not allow coolers or what? We always bring plenty of food and beverages with us while attending races. I've never felt the need to go back to the car.

Best race track from comfort standpoint. The grandstands are generously proportioned. This place is huge though so obviously you can't see as well as short tracks. All things considered best "top level" in this half of country.

Great fun for the entire family. Been there twice, stuff was courteous and friendly both times. Second time was for a privet event with Porsche, and got to drive them on the track.. amazing experience..

The Indy Race was a lot of fun this year. The roaring engines and smell of burning rubber makes the day experiential and unforgettable. The Army Parachuters before the race, enormous flag and crowd screamed total Americana

Went to the June 2017 race. Traffic was backed up when we were coming to the track, but it was never stand-still. The majority of the drive there was in light traffic. You only hit the traffic when you're about 5-10 minutes from the track. This was the same story when we left the track. We waited an hour to leave so that traffic would clear. That didn't do anything. I recommend just going without waiting for traffic to clear. (NOTE: Route 115 and I-80 were merged into 2 lanes. This helped move the traffic.)

Security is a HUGE plus. Instead of checking you and scanning your ticket at the gates, they check you right when you enter the track. So there's no rush to get to your section's gate. (NOTE: If you are thinking about bringing a seatback, make sure that it is NOT METAL. According to security, it can be used as a weapon.)

The fan zone was one of the highlights. Pocono takes advantage of its huge size by providing an exceptional fan zone. To those who skip that area and head straight to the grandstands, DON'T. You don't want to miss out on Pocono's fan zone. My one complaint is that if you ordered scanners online, it is confusing on where you are supposed to go to get them. You cannot just go up to a normal scanner area and show them the confirmation paper. There's more steps. (It saves money to buy online, I should add.)

Every section in the grandstands has something unique about them. The Petty tower lets you see turn 3, the France Tower allows you to see the start finish line, and the Donohue tower lets you see Turn 1, and the restarts. You can see pit road from all sections. You can't see the back straightaway very well, but I found that if you were able to see it, you never really look back there anyway. So sitting up high really only gives you the benefit of seeing the turns and front straightaway better.

The racing is never the best at Pocono. If you are taking someone who is not a NASCAR fan, make sure they have scanners or fan-visions. Pocono is not a good track for non-fans. If you are a NASCAR fan, Pocono is a great track despite the lackluster racing.

VERDICT: Pocono is a great track for NASCAR fans, but not for people who don't follow NASCAR. Overall though, Pocono is a track that every NASCAR fan needs to go to before they die.

All in all a great experience. Porta potties couldve been refilled on toilet paper more often. Parking was free, you can take coolers with beverages in, and staff was helpful with information!

As good as the Poconos' facilities are, the traffic exiting a race (which wasn't well attended) was handled very poorly. it took nearly 2 hours to drive/park/drive/park on Andretti Road between Gate 6 and Long Pond Road. Leaving took almost as long as it did to watch an enjoyable race. it is unfortunate as the improvements made to the track area over the past few years have been nice.

They need to look at the Chicagoland raceway traffic flow for a well designed exiting solution (took me not even 20 minutes to depart there). If this could be solved it would have the experience after the race match the quality of the track. It must be the Andretti Indy car jinx syndrome that causes his namesake Road to frustrate fans!

Member of the yellow shirts Classic Racing Times. Put on a vintage indy car event when Verizon indy cars are at Pocono in August. Thanks to the track owners to allow this event. Very successful and fun

I love attending this track. My first race was the fog shortened race in 2016 that Chris Buescher had won at the age of 10. It is a very good track and the staff are so nice and very helpful. Enjoyable experience, been attending the second race and I am very excited for the doubleheader. Love how every year there is always something new to do.

It was a beautiful day for the race . Buying tickets for the terrace club keeps you undercover so you won't get sunburned or wet if it happens to rain. They serve water, soft drinks, beer and wine along with hot dogs with toppings, pulled pork sandwiches, chicken, baked beans, cole slaw, long grain, wild rice, salad, dessert was a delicious apple cheesecake bar and brownies then novelty ice cream, it was a great day!

Great track to see a NASCAR or other race, and one that tests the drivers as well.

When not hosting national races, lots of smaller community and regional activity, track days and more.

The security staff and section attendants were awesome! My dad has some trouble breathing and needed to stop to catch his breath a few times. Any time we were by security or the attendants they came right over to see if he was OK. Stand up kind of staff working for Pocono Raceway. Seeing as this was our first time here/to a NASCAR event we'll definitely be back!

Attended NASCAR race events on Friday, July 31st. Boring facility with little to no fan activities. Beware of new policy not allowing ticket holders to re-enter racetrack. We were told that if we left to return to our car, we had to purchase another ticket to re-enter track. The fan zone sucked, it had only two haulers selling merchandise, replaced with a Fanatic superstore with highly overpriced driver merchandise. Most concession stands were closed. The leader board is a joke, can only view top 6 positions. The fan screens were small and few, could not be seen from the France section of seating area. The track associates were not trained properly on track policies. Ticket windows at Gate 11 had no track event programs and only one window accepted credit cards. There was only one handicap accessible bathroom stall in the restroom that had well over 60 stalls and I found not one water fountain in the entire facility. Hardly any pot-a-johns in parking areas.

Tried to purchase seats for Sundays Sprint series race but was not allowed to purchase tickets in the section at entrance to pit road where we like to sit. Pocono raceway forces fans to purchase seats only in high priced France section until sold out. Then they open section by section in turns 1 & 3, ridiculous way to do business.

Will not be returning to the Pocono Raceway. Pocono should look to Dover Speedway for tips on how to treat and entertain fans.

Great circuit to watch a race. Only the weather is an important factor. NASCAR, for example, does not run in the rain, and in 2016, both the June and July races were postponed to Monday. This is important if you have a specific travel schedule or have to work on Mondays. But apart from that, a top location to attend a race!

Nice place to see a race, but bring hearing protection. Not a bad seat in the place. Nice to get a pit and garage pass if you want to come early and broaden your experience. Vendor food OK but not great. Parking is simple and easy. You can even park your RV in the infield!

As a huge NASCAR fan this will be the last time I ever come to Pocono which is the closest race track to my house. This is the third year in a row it took me over 2 hours to leave the parking lot. Every year I think there must be something else going on, well 3 years in a row no there isn t something else going on they just have the worst system I have ever seen. Not only is it rude to your fans who spent a lot of money to come but it is also extremely unsafe. Get a better system.
