Quality of care has progressively declined. Seems like only the bare minimum is done for my loved one here. Very disappointing to see.

This woman beats her kids if u see her working here run.
Many thanks to Plymouth Place and their employees for providing my grandfather with a welcoming and safe place to stay. I feel better knowing he is there!
Plymouth Place is very much a Tale of Two Cities.
As a place for those 75 and older to spend their final years, it is the best choice available in the western suburbs for those who have the financial means to qualify. The rank and file staff are, based on my mother's 8 years of experience and my family's observations, truly dedicated to the well-being and happiness of the residents.
The flip side comes if you need to deal with the administration, particularly if your need crosses multiple departments (Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, Finance, Marketing, etc.). Finding anyone who can state policy or procedure beforehand is impossible, which makes simple tasks like moving from one level of care to another an endless series of unpleasant series of surprises, delays, and expenses.
Our mother suffered a significant health issue requiring months of rehabilitation. When she was in acute rehab it became clear mom would need to move into an assisted living environment. We looked at many fine facilities. When we found Plymouth Place there was no question where we wanted mom to live. Upon her arrival she immediately fell in love with the facility and more importantly the talented and empathetic team of professionals. To be honest, we think mom may be getting more social opportunities than when she was living on her own. She actually likes the food (she has exceedingly high standards and can be a bit picky.) As to the experience the family has, I can attest to the exceptional professionalism and commitment we have seen at every level from the youngest server in the dining room to the CEO. I wish we could give Plymouth Place 10 stars.
DO NOT COME HERE. Absolutely terrible....if you are looking into senior living please look elsewhere. We placed my mother-in-law here a while back and the whole experience was just terrible. From only doing the bare minimum in terms of "assisted living" to rude staff, you are better off placing your loved ones in a a place that actually will care. One particular female employee whose name I will withhold, is particularly rude and acts as if you owe her money all the time. Since then, we've placed my mother in law at Aspired Living and she enjoys it there much more.
My family and I searched for months for the best place to begin transition of our mother. Plymouth Place was phenomenal in helping us each step. Now she live a thriving lifestyle with new friends to socialize with. She has a better spirit and is living life the way we always hoped she would.
When it was time for mom to enter assisted living, we looked at all of the options in the area. Plymouth Place stood out as the best from the very beginning and it has exceeded our expectations. She has been there for several months and the care has been exceptional, starting with the skilled nursing and progressing to the assisted living floor. The fact that it is a non-profit makes it a very mission driven community and that shines through in the way the residents are treated, the pride that is taken in the physical surroundings, the nourishing and appetizing meals, and the vast array of activities for residents. We are delighted that mom is a part of this community and highly recommend it to others who are looking for an exceptional place that will honor their loved ones.
Awful, first 3 years were okay. During the covid quarantine to the present her care declined to just providing medications, food and minimal hygiene care. As her dementia increased she did not get much help at all with the standards that define assisted living. Because of the quarantine it was impossible to monitor her living situation. Finally moved her out of Plymouth Place. I would think twice before placing anyone I cared about into their assisted living care.
