Prices are high, experience is ok. The Polar Express is a thing you do once, but not again.

We drove 2 hours to take our children on a santa ride, not for them to take a nap. It was the most boring, uneventful and sad experience for a s anta train ride. No uplifting childrens Christmas music, nothing but slow songs, slow train ride, and a slow experience. I will never recommend it and I will tell everyone I know to not go there. Ya the gift shop was cool, but we didn't travel for a gift shop, we travelled for a exciting Santa ride.
Liked it, but I hate when you have to wait for a long time before you can actually play.
You have to limit a group to 2 people, so everything would move faster.
we get during the summer, would be beautiful during the fall
What a great place. We had a wonderful family day there. The train ride was lovely with great views and a tour guide explaining the territory. They offer lunch on the dining cart if you so desire where I ate the best pulled pork sandwich ever! The gift shop had alot to offer and there is a playground as well. After our train ride we decided to play miniature golf and it was the most spectacular and beautiful miniature golf course I have ever seen. With waterfalls lakes, streams and birds at every hole. I will never forget it. And I will be visiting it again as soon as possible. There is ample parking as well.
I've been here many times for as long as i can remember. My parents brought me when i was real young and now i brought my kids here. Nice course. My kids loved it. Little on the expensive side. Its about $9.00 a person give or take a dollar or two because my son is 12 and 12 and under are a little cheaper than adults. If you are ever in the lincoln area, you should definitely swing by for a quick road. 18 hole mini golf course.
Beautiful scenery..... definatly a must for people visiting this area! It truly shows our amazing foliage and the area we live in..... it speaks for itself for sure!
The train ride was great! We bought the pass that included the train ride and putt putt.
Great place to go mini golfing or take a train ride lots of fun what ever you want to do.
Peaceful ride. Great selection of gifts in the shop
Great train ride in a beautiful area. The staff were wonderful, and very hospitable, concerned for our contentment with everything, etc. The engineer was great at communicating what we were seeing out the windows, the history of the area, specifics of surrounding, businesses, landscape, etc. A woman dressed as a clown made balloon sculpture animals for the kids (a turtle for our son), which my kid absolutely loved!
Ice Castles Visit. It was beautiful would recommend for all ages
Played mini golf, great course and a lot of fun. Nice scenery and of course the trains.
Was visiting for the ice castle that they do out behind the main area, it was pretty and very fun to walk around, but was not what I had expected. The castle was very cool to see at night
Very nice and comfortable ride. The narrator was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area.
Boring sightseeing, even more boring staff. I could have filled my gas tank for the price of ticket and have driven around more interesting places
Great first-time train ride for toddlers, as it's under an hour long and only travels a short distance.
Brilliant fun. Who doesn't like riding on an old locomotive!?!?!
So very beautiful in the fall season. Mini golf, Hobo Train ride which is roughly an hour or so. A lovely relaxing train ride to catch the Fall Foliage in season and relaxing during the summer season. Fall schedule is weekend only.
I went for the ice castles in winter and it was amazing. The ice castles were huge and a great place to go with your family.
If you're seated on the left side if the train as it leaves the station, you won't see much. I understand during COVID-19 there are limited spots on the train. Maybe seat everyone on the right side, six feet apart, and use all the cars.
A great, fun ride! Reasonably priced and the crew (who were in costume for Halloween) were very helpful and friendly.
I don,t recommend the ride, it isn't a scenic ride.
Fun railroad trip that is great to see the fall colors.Price is rather high for a short trip.
River views were nice, but a chunk of time was spent in the woods. Friendly service for snacks and drinks too.
not worth the money in my opinion. fall scenic train is not so scenic at all. people are great though
The Hobo Railroad was a little disappointing. I enjoyed the facts shared, riding in an old train on tracks built in the 1830s; however, the ride itself (what you're paying for) was lack luster. There were not good views except over a couple small bridges. Mostly you're looking at woods and streets. They did have a snack service on the train (,for purchase) or you could preorder a lunch. There was also a girl dressed up as a clown doing balloon animals.
Such a nice place. Fantastic location. Located at the base of the white mountains. Very nice and friendly staffs. Romantic train rides. They ve a very huge parking lot. Clean restrooms. We loved this place.
Love going here for the ice castles have been going for three years now
We rode the hobo rail road several years ago. This is a basic straight shot south and then return back to the station
Lovely place. We almost nailed a car at the end of the ride, but they were able to stop before hitting it. Very scenic with the bridges. Lunch is good.
We played Mini Golf. Lots of fun, a good stop to add to your travels.
The train ride could have been longer.. but still a good time.
Daughter & I played the miniature golf, we did NOT ride the train. Took 1 1/2 hours to complete. Crowded but friendly. Was hot since we played after lunch. Of note, lots of stairs on the course. Small bench at many holes. Fun holes but no moving parts. $9 per adult. Would play again if in the area again, drove 25 minutes to get here. Easy to find. One minute off 93, McDonald's across the street, ice cream stand a couple blocks down.
The kids had a blast. Thanks Hobo Mini Golf for the group rate.
Great time buddy the clown was the best part he was funny and great with kids anytime he was around we were laughing definitely going back
Love this place. It's a must stop and play if your up in New Hampshire. Doing there best for the whole covid thing.
Nice staff but expected a little more of a view ride.
Brought my children and now my grandchildren...wholesome family fun.
Going back to the past knowing the history of these places makes us better understand the transformation of a country
The train was very hot and the food was ok but the firework were great
This is a good activity for the family. The ride is reasonably short so that kids won't get bored. The price is reasonable. It's not the fanciest scenic train, but it's a reasonable value. Would like a bit more narration and a bit more comfort in the chairs, but otherwise I recommend it.
Very reasonable prices. and just to watch your children's faces as they take their first train ride, is the face you will remember forever. Great experience for the whole family
Was here for the ice castles. It was fun but crowded.
Great fun for kids with entertainment aboard and face painting.
Journey to the North Pole is a true adventure for children! My grandchildren loved it!
Great day, The people at the Depot we're wonferful and very helpful. We had the lunch aboard. Food was very good, the scenery was beautiful from where we sat. We try to go an trains when we visit different areas and this ride was one of out favorites. Thank you Hobo family. Wasn't the longist ride but the time and lunch wrew great. Will come back, Thank you Hobo family.
It was not a bad little ride. A little boring for young children but as an adult, and someone who likes trains and history etc..., I thought it was good. There were some nice views of the pemigewasset and you could see people kayaking, swimming, camping, or fishing and people wave as the train goes by. It is a little pricey at 19 bucks for an adult and I think it was 14 for kids but it's not like you're going to be riding it a lot of times and I don't mind supporting the preservation of this piece of history. It is another activity to do while in Lincoln plus they have a very large mini-golf course in the same area as the train station. I believe they call the whole little area Hobo Junction and they said it was started by the man who created Clark's trading post after he moved on or left that business. Clark's is also good but that's another review lol.
Honestly i was disapointed, you really cant see anything cool n you can tell the conducter has been doing it to long and is just going through the motions till retirement.i waited n waited for my lunch and finally got it but only after i asked for it.overall a bit disapointed.
Wait what??? Where was ?? If this was for the Polar Express experience, it was amazing. A little pricey but I get it. Just couldn't get a table if 6 together.
Absolutely awesome ice castle with a friendly and helpful staff.
Not worth the money paid, not much to see but many trees.
