Went to Santa's workshop. Payed just about $312 for my wife, myself and our two children. We wanted front row at Santa's workshop. We definitely got front row to sit on a wet carpet. I remember looking behind me and wishing we were actually sitting on something that probably wasn't wet....and saved some money. Wish the train ride was longer than 10 minutes tops.
Santa was great and made his rounds to meet and greet every child there regardless of where you sat. The head elf, I forget his name but he was pretty funny.
Price for our overall family night.. 2 stars

Took the round trip with lunch. A nice time for the family. Not many hobos but plenty of nature to be viewed from the train.

First time was really fun. We drove by and decided to check it out. The course is long but the people were nice.

If you're in a time crunch (we were up in NH for just a weekend) then I would NOT recommend going. There's WAY too many other better things to do. It's pretty much a straight shot back and forth through super plain woods (no views of any mountains). Saw more self storage units than anything :( we saw a beautiful river here and there but better views are available at other parks. Even though the train ride is less than satisfactory, their mini golf course was the BEST I've ever been to... TONS of fun, well maintained, great landscaping and really nice!

Ice castle - Gud one for Kids.. Actually a very good one but you should be prepared for the long lines and crowd

Verrrrry boring not worth the money it was a waist of my trip

My family and I went a couple weeks ago. The ride itself was nice and I like that they offer an optional picnic lunch and sell snacks during the ride. I was just hoping the "scenic views" were a little nicer and there was a little more to see. Overall an ok ride.

Needed a rainy day activity, found the Hobo Railroad! Such a great experience!

Nice ride for kids and afordable, staff members could smile once in a while although conductor was nice,I believe it will be better in foliage

went to the mini golf course there. Extremely challenging and fun. Lots of steps up and down lots of challenging courses great place to have fun.

Awesome piece of history still doing what it did over 100 years ago

This is a fun, moderately challenging miniature golf course located just before downtown Lincoln if you're coming from I93. Depending on your group size, give yourself at least an hour and a half to get through the course. The parking lot is also the location where they build the Ice Castles during the winter.

The rail road was closed, we visited the ice castle, however I can tell you this is right off of I93, and it is a cute depot with a gift shop, and a real train ride, plus some old trains to look at.

Enjoyable train ride with some nice views. The older car was great to be in and see how people used to ride on trains.

The Ice Castles...everyone must go there at least once... Go at night...dress warm...it is beautiful

Great place to explore. We stopped here during out little explore northern NH tours. They have a mini golf course right next door during the summers. There is a small gift shop and in the winters the ice castles are held there.

Thoroughly enjoyed the train ride. Food and hospitality on train was good. Our kid enjoyed the ride and the story reading that happened before it. The train passes along river water streams with a few scenic views of the mountains. Hope to be there in Fall again. The mini golf course is beautiful and fun. There are ponds, water fountains, bridges along the course. The ride is definitely worth the price.

Went for the first time Sunday with my son the employees are great will be back again. The meal was a little overpriced but still worth it

It wasn t great at all. The most fun part was driving to the location. It s very beautiful in New Hampshire. The train ride wasn t very scenic or entertaining. My husband did enjoy a great nap in the seat. It was very comfortable.

Great place for family fun and viewing the changing leaves from a train. They had a great outdoor game area for use while you waited for train and many superhero scarecrows. Staff was very friendly too .

Nice ride along the river, they have soft drinks and ice cream and a food only car we had a good time

Was cute for the littles. Trains were warm, scenery on this ride is limited. Entertainment with santa and singing guitar elves was good but not enough duration to keep the kids occupied. Needed more entertainers cycling through the cars to keep the kids from getting too antsy but was a good experience.

A great way to spend a couple of hours if you like trains and local history like I do, but I'm not sure my wife and 20 something son enjoyed it as much.

It was a nice ride through the woods, by the river. Would recommend it for a rainy day activity. The mini golf course attached was super - well kept, challenging, with some hobo trivia. That was lots of fun.

Fun place to bring your kids. Little slippery so be careful.

A lot of cool sites the inside is beautiful.

And if you are with your friends or your kids they should have fun with all the cool things around

Journey to North Pole extremely pricey, Santa Surprise was a stuffed toy that arrived by mail with tickets, cold miserable train journey and cold theatre (tent in woods) all our group agree it was a total waste of money. Santa spent no time with the children and very disappointing

First visit to this Railroad. Impressed with all. Friendly staff, clean train. Mini golf course is a challenge. Definitely a return visit. Try the Hobo lunch option !

Beautiful and inexpensive foliage train ride. Bring cash for snacks and drinks on the train.

This is a nice family adventure. I thought it was a bit expensive, but overall worth it. The hobo lunch was a great touch, but... they advertised a bag on a stick and we didnt get that until well after they gave us the box-type lunch (which was good). The line was fun and the train cars were amazing, but the views from the train were very bland and the conductor (although he did read from a script) didnt call out places AS we rode by them... that was disappointing.

It was hot and crowded due to the fact there were a lot of people there waiting to get on the polar Express train. Either way, I had fun

My daughter was delighted by Santa, the sights were enough to make me feel the need to take pictures, and the staff was everything you would expect. Keep in mind there is no restroom/water closet.

Great stores to shop in. And Clarks trading Post isn't far. Also train ride, mini gulf and so much more

Interesting name, the gift shop was kinda meh and not much related to trains and or hobos. But the mini golf was a blast

Took a trip here from Connecticut to visit the ice castles. Well worth every minute spent in the car.

Love playing mini golf every year here. Been going to the Lincoln / Franconia Notch area of NH ever since I was a kid and never missed an opportunity to play a game or 2 here.

The cars were nice and they do a good job talking and trying to keep you entertained. That said, it's really just a train ride through the woods and over a couple waterways. Nothing particularly impressive to see at all. I suppose if you live in a city and never get into rural areas it's nice.

Scenic views, good for the family with young kids!

My 1 year old loved the train trip and the short ride meant she could do it and not get bored.

It would be better if the water falls were working!!

Ok place to visit and take a ride on the railroad for $20.00 (adults).

The trains are not air conditioned. On a 95 degree day like today it is a problem

A train to nowhere. It was kind of cool to be on a train, but it was boring going through a forest the entire time.

Amazing you have to go at lk east once in your life to see this.
