Let me start by saying I've just had a third slice of pumpkin pie at my hotel, The Inn at Saratoga -- a darling establishment around the corner from Plumed Horse.

We, my two friends and I, had an 8:15pm reservation, to which we were not sat on time despite arriving 6 minutes early. The hostess was rather bored and had no interest in greeting my group of beautiful and interesting humans.

We lounged by force in the bar area with no water to drink or cocktails to sip. Eventually, at 8:35, we were escorted to our table in the dining room under a beautiful light fixture that changes colors every minute.

We first received offerings from a champagne cart, followed by an array of amuse-bouche, which were exceptional. Our culinary guide was kind even though we didn't elect the tasting menu; instead, we ordered selections from all sections of the menu.

Brussel Sprouts: Impression level, 5. Similar to a dish you'd receive at Grand Lux (not that I've ever dined there).

Gnocchi: Impression level, 8.5. Luxury pillows of potato goodness. A touch of fresh green olive really sent me over the top on this one.

Braised Beef : Impression level, 8.5. Presentation was incredible. The pasta was rolled perfectly with sweetbreads tucked inside like a cold winters night. Beef was braised to perfection sitting atop a spoon swipe of semi-sweet glaze.

In conclusion, we would go back. The later stages in service aligned with food quality and the check was more than reasonable.

Thank you & Good night!

We just dined there, we had the vegetarian tasting menu with non alcoholic drinks. The food was very good, our favorite was the coconut cashew soup and the black pepper and parmesan souffle. The drinks were interesting too, Emalio served us three kinds of drinks. His hospitality was excellent.

We also happened to run into the headchef, Peter, who was SO humble, attentive and well informed! He had made the bowls that he served the soup in. Such care!

Not a fun experience.

Not a fun experience.
Staff is cold, typo in the menu...etc.

Not what you expect when you pay 160$/person

Too much pressure from the waiters to buy champagne and even caviar ( at 95$//person).
The price of champagne was ridiculously high ( 26$/glass for a low end bad 35$/bottle).
You truly feel like a clown with a big wallet.

I have much more fun going to a nice French Bistro and paying 30$

First, the stand out items: the wait staff commented that we looked like we'd been sitting there for a moment while waiting for the bill and gave us each generous (and complimentary) pours of champagne at the end of the meal. We were also offered several other small chef's items throughout the night which, while not uncommon for restaurants of this caliber, were well received and delightful.

Ambiance: we began at the bar with some cocktails, which were a tasty start to the evening. They seated us shortly in the center of the main dining area - things were aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. The wait staff is informed, attentive/speedy, and friendly.

Food: Each of us sat down to some delicious bread and a platter of 4 or 5 little amuse bouche items - all of which were phenomenal (the little egg was the most memorable, mmm!). We started the uni/crab soufle - my girlfriend isn't a fan of sea food and found this as thoroughly enjoyable as I did. She had the chicken and I had the antelope (rare) and both were exceptional.

Would recommend this place.

Perfect service! They offered two glass of champagne when they knew I was celebrating my birthday! Also with the great selections of wine and a cool bar, this must be one of the best restaurant to go in Saratoga

Plumed Horse has a very romantic atmosphere and great service. The food was really good. But for the price, I was expecting something a little more unique. Would probably go back to try other things on the menu.

Very nice restaurant, comfortable setting and great service. Food was excellent. My wife's favorite wasn't part of the tasting menu, but the server recommended as an addition - souffle with crab.

There were two negative points: the large light fixture above our table kept changing color. That made the dishes especially in blue light look less than appealing. And it wasn't really necessary for the server to interrupt our dinner in every course after 2 minutes to ask if everything is OK.

Horrible place, do not waste your money. I wonder why Michelin gave them any star. Over rated, bad food. I had food poisoning and when called restaurant they blamed on me saying it must have been your lunch. Irresponsible, disrespectful and disgusting management. DO NOT GO! Do not wast your hard earned money!

My and my friend went to this One Michelin Star restaurant. We had 7 PM reservation. Its located in downtown Saratoga. My friend ordered vegetarian tasting menu and I ordered cheese, oyster and salmon. Service is slow, they want you to consume their expensive alcohol. Finally we got food, started to eat and to enjoy our business discussion. Once I ate Oyster after 1 hour or so I started to feel bad. I went to restroom and throw-up, that was the end of dinner for me.

Came home, throw-up few times again. Next day I called restaurant to ask / complaint. Lady picked phone, asked what happened and told me that it must be something I ate in lunch because their food can never be bad. I asked her to let manager call me back, she said sure, no one called.
After 3 days again I called, she repeated same thing telling me it was not their food and told me that if manager have time he / she will call me. No call yet.
For a place that charged over $400 for party of two, you expect to get prompt response, perhaps apology or inviting you back to experience dining again, NOPE. They don't gave a damm about you.

I am complaining to City and County.
Pros: none
Con: Waste of money, Horrible and unsafe food, worst customer service
DO NOT GO, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Has the tasting menu for 2 for my anniversary, and all the dishes were great except for one fish dish which was mediocre. Great service and very nice ambiance, but not sure I want to pay French Laundry prices.

Good food, good wine, nice place but not Very good service. I was hosting a corporate event and the waitress was always trying to Cross sell (foie gras, caviar, champagne etc) even though i had choose the best menu they offered. Nice table near the kitchen bit very small. The wine pairing was ok but not enough wine, we bought 3 additional bottles and we were not huge drinkers. Very expensive for what offers. You will find better options around.

The Plumed Horse does not deserve a Michelin-star rating.

Unfortunately, the souffle we ordered had a strand of curly black hair in the cream sauce. We brought this to the sommelier's attention, and shockingly he said this happens in 1 out of 50 souffle and most likely from the horsehair brush they use while prepping the dish.

As the evening went on, we had deplorable service and returned our pasta dish with truffles because the cook severely oversalted. I want everyone to know we made every attempt with the waitstaff and Josh, the general manager.

It's challenging to write a bad review, especially when it's a local restaurant that we want to support.

Great food and amazing service!

Great food and amazing service!
Got a table for my parents anniversary, definitely recommend trying the tasting menu if you have a very empty stomach, as a normal a la carte experience is around $100 person.

I would probably return another season and try the tasting menu or perhaps the bar for some wine and chocolates.

Of course, any Michelin-starred restaurant is gonna be great, but I feel like the Horse used to be better. It's still beautiful, and the addition of the chocolate cart is excellent, but there were some small lapses in service and preparation that could've been better. Still worth it though.

This is the kind of restaurant where you dress to impress, valet your car, and escort your significant other to a dining experience like no other. There is a reason this place is a Michelin favorite. The mixed drinks are finely crafted, and the menu is all fresh with seasonal ingredients. Prepare to be dazzled by the cuisine, and be prepared to pay an equally high price for the meal. Your date will be impressed, your palette satisfied, and your wallet thin.

Came here for birthday dinner, we really enjoyed food, wine and service here. Everyone was so nice and friendly, and they were willing to answer all questions we had. Plumed Horse is really beautiful and elegant, and the special for the restaurant is wine collection. Food is really good, souffle was impressed.

If you enjoy an excellent quality chocolate, this place is for you. Yes, it is pretty expensive ($5 for 1 piece), but hey, something really delicious and of high quality can not be cheap. I ve tried most of their flavours and all of them were incredible.

Always an excellent experience. The sommelier makes great wine recommendations that pair perfectly with the amazing food they make. They also have a great covid separation setup, so you feel comfortable while eating.

They have wonderful food here, worthy of the Michelin stars. Though the overall decor is mostly traditional, they also have a beautiful modern-looking wine cellar, with a glass floor so you can see that the bottles occupy two stories, not just one.

Excellent staff and service. The staff serving the plates seem rushed with the description of the dish. The food was good, but I wasn't blown away with the creativity of the flavors. We had one vegetarian and regular chef's tasting. Some were great on both, some were disappointing. Wines I tasted didn't impress me either. Their wine pore for the wine pairing was a little too generous and one could get easily drunk with first couple courses.

One thing that bothered me throughout the night was the lighting in the main dining room. The lights were changing colors and it was tripping me out a bit during the meal, I didn't think it added anything to the experience, it actually had negative affect to the whole evening.

Not sure if I will return again for dining, maybe for the bar.

The service here was excellent and extremely attentive and the ambiance was great: not too loud so you can actually hear the conversation at your table. The food was all fantastic and beautifully plated.

The Duck was unremarkable. Antelope was surprisingly good. Service was a bit too sloppy. Presentation was dull. Dining room was crowded, dark, and overwhelmingly loud. Decorations seemed dated. If you're looking for an outstanding dining experience, look elsewhere.

Went here as a part of an office thing. For vegetarians, the food was overall good (they had a special vegan/vegetarian menu). Only one of the dishes wasn't great - I stated that I was allergic to some food, but one of the dishes had that ingredient. So that kinda messed me up a bit. But they were super apologetic about the whole thing (the ingredient was in the pasta flour so they didnt realize it was in the dish). But the service staff were so nice that I didn't want to dock off more than one star. It was a fun experience.

Have been here a few times now. Every experience has been amazing. We do the chefs tasting menu and usually stay for about 4 hours. The menu changes all the time and they're very accommodating to any special needs in terms of food allergies. If I could afford to eat here every month, I would.

Average tasting, not-so-artistic chocolates for a steep prize. The chocolates came in different shapes, colors and not-so-well attempted art on them. Almost every chocolate had an outer chocolate cover which had a different flavoring and inside there was a soft chocolate fill-in. The fill ins tasted the same in almost all the cases (and not unique/artisanal).

We came here for our first date and ordered the tasting menu. Our dinner last 4 hours and 2 years later we are happily married. This place is good luck :)

During the reservation you have options to either sit in a private room for more privacy.

Everything we were served was mouth watering. My favorite was probably the veil, dessert, and my cute date!
