Very different from the last time we stayed here 3 years ago..it was a nice place. But not now...the rooms were all being cleaned after checkin...we waited a good hour or so after we checked in before we could settle into our room. We were not even warned that thexroom was still being cleaned.
They just checked us in and we went to a half cleaned wide open to the public room..very strange.
They seemed to be very short handed. The hallway rugs were dirty and grounds had garbage an used towels just lying in the grass. There was a broken beach chair someone discarded under my balcony for 3 days. It was not the quality hotel it used to be. They need to get more help or do some upgrades on their procedures in order to keep charging the expensive rates they do...very disappointed

We had a poolside room with a king size bed. The room itself was pretty clean and the bed was very comfortable. The door does not have any sort of latch on the inside, our 3 and a half year old did not attempt any escapes but I imagine this could be an issue for some parents. We did not get our "complimentary" drinks because apparently the restaurant/bar is not always open, even on weekends. The 2 night stay was about 90 dollars higher then 2 other locations considered. I understand this price is higher because of the parking and beach but this would not matter as our family owns a home right there. It is a nice place to stay but I felt the price was a bit steep especially since the restaurant was not an option and there is no sort of continental breakfast or anything.

Clean rooms, great food, but when I was there there was a group of about 30 26 year old guys who were constantly drunk and made for an unenjoyable experience in the restaurant and lounge chairs. The beach was a blast but was cold.

The bartender in the hotel restaurant was horribly rude. She never greeted us once or asked if we wanted a drink. On top of that the 'king suite' we purchased is a tiny box of a room! You can't even move the chairs on the balcony the space is so tight. Worst place we have ever stayed in Rhode Island!!

My moms review- We have had the best family vacations here for 6 years, however this year will be our last. We book the deluxe ocean view , usually the same room each summer, for the $$$, quality has taken sharp dive. We have a beautiful ocean view , waves crashing, along with a constant cigarette and marijuana smell. Filthy rugs, cigarette butts all over the beach/lot. No longer family friendly, when you re paying for an expensive room and all you smell is marijuana, along with a lot of drunk obnoxious people on the beach. The restaurant is still great, the staff is very nice, but the overall quality is no longer worth the price

Have stayed in this area for years and decided to try something new. The room was damp and loud. The afternoon staff were rude. Parking is also a bit limited. Definitely liked having a restaurant on site and waitress at pool. Would not go back.

We just stayed three nights and it was great. You can't beat being right on the beach. The views are spectacular. We spent every day, morning to evening relaxing on the beach. We had a pool view room which was nice although we never used it. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We bought food from the restaurant just once and it was very good.
The one and only negative thing I have to point out is that the restaurant isn't open for breakfast. I'm a coffee addict and need it as soon as I get up. There are some little restaurants on the street that are in walking distance. Mermaid has the best coffee and breakfast sandwiches.

It was nice to come back to PVI after many years. It was sad to see a lot of the beach, directly in back of the hotel, gone due to erosion. At high tide there is no beach to sit on. I'm glad some beach still exists right next to the hotel. More

don t book with this hotel, shady policies and they will not refund your money. A manager will never be available to authorize a refund. After reading all of the horrible reviews, I decided to book elsewhere. I canceled before the deadline but was still charged due to not keeping my reservation until a certain date. What?! This has been a headache and a half.

PV Inn is the best beach getaway! The rooms are cozy and each has a balcony. We always get an ocean facing room so the ocean lulls us to sleep and greets us in the morning. They have lawn chairs overlooking the ocean as well as beach access. The staff is very friendly and we look forward to returning every year
