Great location on the beach, ocean view rooms are almost on the sand. The little bar and restaurant are good with friendly staff. Rooms are small but clean and very nicely decorated. Definately would stay there again.

Overpriced for a simple hotel ,,$300 a night even in july was slightly high. Clean rooms ,large hotel and pool didn't accommodate all the guest Restaurant for lunch was good price but dinner was very high just too expensive for my taste .

Nice location right on the water, you can walk out to the beach or sit and enjoy the view from a terrace above the sea wall. Restaurant is very nice, and staff are friendly, but the rooms are absolutely tiny, really just a bed and space to get around it.

Not enough staff to support the crowd! Very pleasant staff but they were overwhelmed! Food was cold and not to order which was a shame because it was a hamburger that I ordered. To bad because it is a beautiful place!

So we booked 2 nights and it was good. The main thing is from the room to the beach is quite a trek, and you have to walk past the outdoor dining area and along the narrow path, then down the stairs. It takes a bit of time and really becomes a chore if you forgot anything, almost to the point it's not worth going back for, depending on what it is you forgot. Overall enjoyed the stay, also there is an extra charge $25 a night for certain amenities, but due to covid you really don't get those. At least we didn't. I think there were 2 bottles of water in our room. Maybe we missed something though.

The food at the Kitchen at PVI is fresh. Love the heirloom tomatoes for the Caprese. The fish tacos are the perfect size portion, and lots of flavor with authentic masa tortilla. A wonderful menu, with something for everyone.

Oceanview room was very small and there was a dirty cup of cigarettes on our balcony. Other than the air conditioning unit blowing right above the head of the bed, the room was comfortable and staff very friendly. Restaurant was closed when we checked out at 11:00 and there is no late check-out.

My first visit was the week of July 4th 2014. What a great place. We are returning in 2015. I just booked. The atmosphere was so reminiscent of what hotels used to be. No chain mentality. The food both in the restaurant and the bar was great, The location outstanding. The beach fabulous. I just can not say enough. We had a pool view king room. The design is unique and brings back memories of days gone bye. If this is what you are looking for, look no further.

My wife an 6month old arrived a few hours early an were waiting in the longe and a employee paused as she was walkin by an stoped to say hi to my son an asked if we were staying as guest.. I told her we Checked in an the front desk an they told us maybe 230 but by 3 are room will be ready.. "she said hold on I'll be right back" needless to say within a 20 min we had a nice freshly cleaned room. It was 12:45 thank you very much we will be back...

Nice place. Beautiful area. Staff friendly. Stayed 3 nights. Pool was great. Rooms were nice. My only complaint is we requested an ocean view room. What we got was lower level. The only view we had was a wall and then people sitting in chairs. No ocean view ( which is what we paid for) Absolutely No privacy. Asked to move up a level and was told no it was booked. No one was, ever above us . Felt like we were bring looked at all the time.

My wife and our 2 kids just spent a few days at PV Inn. The location is fantastic--nice beach, good view. The inn, however, has several big problems. 1) It is in serious need of renovation. Our room was dilapidated with a broken screen, peeling paint, clogged sink. The bathroom and air conditioner has the most powerful smell of mold I have ever encountered. 2) It's loud. Every night there were drunk people screaming either in the halls or just outside the hotel. Don't plan to sleep while you are here. 3) It seems family run. This is often a good thing and many may construe it as charming, but in this case, it appears that only those relatives who could not find work elsewhere are employed. The front desk is in a haze ditto for the restaurant. Everyone is very nice and tries to help, they just don't know how to run a hotel.

The review is for our stay 8/14 - 8/16/2020. LOCATION is what this hotel has going for it. It's right on the beach and that's why we came. Room was nicely remodeled (except for bathroom vanity), and AC worked great. However, no breakfast and NO COFFEE or any hot breakfast beverages were available (in room or in lobby), but bar was opened, dinner was available, pool was open, etc. We did not understand no coffee (no coffee maker in room, why??), but it was available a few minutes down the road from Beach Bums food stand. Hallways and other areas were in desperate need of cleaning and repair. Broken and dusty vents in hallway ceiling right outside our room door; bathroom vanity doors had many missed cleanings worth of dust/dirt, baseboards were dirty. No daily housekeeping services as with most places during "COVID", so I get that, but there is no way this place is being cleaned and sanitized appropriately. Two of three staffers we encountered at front were completely cold, and the third was lovely and warm. Staff did not offer us a beach pass when we checked it, and we were approached and asked for one when we were on the beach the following day. SO, had to leave beach and request pass in side hotel at front desk. Who comes here and doesn't go to the beach?? The guy on the beach said you have to ask for a pass. Who would know that? All in all, we would come back only if desperate for a beach weekend and no other place were available. I guess a room being available on a Thursday for a Friday weekend checking in August tells you that this is a less than stellar place. Pride in ownership doesn't really show.

Drinks like flavored water. Once meals did arrive, pretty tasty.

I went to spend the afternoon with someone who was checking staying that night in the inn. Despite this person booking an early check in the room was not ready on time. That was fine but we had to beg to get a beach pass so we could hang out on the beach while we were waiting. You would think that if the room wasn't ready on time they would at least give us a beach pass while were waiting. Once on the beach it was a very nice afternoon though.

Me and my wife came here during our summer honeymoon and we met a very hard-working and pretty asian girl named Maddie. She was very responsive and gave out great suggestions. The lobster roll, suggested by Maddie, was very fresh and delicious. I hope to come back again next summer, for the lobster roll and the great staff.

Came for two nights after staying at Foxwoods Casino for two nights which was a nice change in the middle of the week to go to and within 25 minutes! Cannot fully rate as this is during the covid epidemic but is a gorgeous location! The beach is right there so is stunning to sit to enjoy the view, landscaping around place is very nice, pool is open and resturant was very good! You get a welcome drink vouchers at checkin which was their signature rum runners and delicious! Only thing I would suggest is our room did not have a coffee maker and they did not have their usual coffee option in the lobby since they are not allowed during this time. (If you are a coffee drinker, this is important!) But every staff we have interacted with from the ones at front desk, to maintenance outside to associates at the restaurant, everyone has been extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back again to enjoy & see how it normally is! One plus I will also add is if elderly or anyone having a difficult time walking, the beach is great as the water is within a few feet away!

Very different from the last time we stayed here 3 years ago..it was a nice place. But not now...the rooms were all being cleaned after checkin...we waited a good hour or so after we checked in before we could settle into our room. We were not even warned that thexroom was still being cleaned.
They just checked us in and we went to a half cleaned wide open to the public room..very strange.
They seemed to be very short handed. The hallway rugs were dirty and grounds had garbage an used towels just lying in the grass. There was a broken beach chair someone discarded under my balcony for 3 days. It was not the quality hotel it used to be. They need to get more help or do some upgrades on their procedures in order to keep charging the expensive rates they do...very disappointed

The bartender in the hotel restaurant was horribly rude. She never greeted us once or asked if we wanted a drink. On top of that the 'king suite' we purchased is a tiny box of a room! You can't even move the chairs on the balcony the space is so tight. Worst place we have ever stayed in Rhode Island!!

Perfect in every way. Very congenial staff, cute updated rooms, and easy accessablity to the beach. Also, a wonderful restaurant with very tasty food. My family loved it. we'll be back.

My moms review- We have had the best family vacations here for 6 years, however this year will be our last. We book the deluxe ocean view , usually the same room each summer, for the $$$, quality has taken sharp dive. We have a beautiful ocean view , waves crashing, along with a constant cigarette and marijuana smell. Filthy rugs, cigarette butts all over the beach/lot. No longer family friendly, when you re paying for an expensive room and all you smell is marijuana, along with a lot of drunk obnoxious people on the beach. The restaurant is still great, the staff is very nice, but the overall quality is no longer worth the price

The food was great and the view is amazing, right on the ocean! We went with our two kids and they are a kid friendly place. My husband loved the cod fish he ordered and my steak was amazing.

Have stayed in this area for years and decided to try something new. The room was damp and loud. The afternoon staff were rude. Parking is also a bit limited. Definitely liked having a restaurant on site and waitress at pool. Would not go back.

It was nice to come back to PVI after many years. It was sad to see a lot of the beach, directly in back of the hotel, gone due to erosion. At high tide there is no beach to sit on. I'm glad some beach still exists right next to the hotel. More

PV Inn is the best beach getaway! The rooms are cozy and each has a balcony. We always get an ocean facing room so the ocean lulls us to sleep and greets us in the morning. They have lawn chairs overlooking the ocean as well as beach access. The staff is very friendly and we look forward to returning every year
