If you are the one who likes to backpack and relax in the hostel, you will not be disappointed with the plearn hostel. Plearn Hostel is a new, less than 3-month hostel located on Soi Thapae Soi 1, near the Night Bazaar. And Ploen Ruedi, a nightlife center, less than 10 meters away from the hotel In the hotel there are 2 big rooms, separate male and female and most importantly have towels and free wifi service which is different from the hostel elsewhere. The bed area has a power plug to be able to charge the mobile phone and have a small light to turn on without disturbing others. The bathroom has 6 rooms, divided into rooms for excretion and embarrassment. Each room has 3 rooms, sufficient to use the service, not having to wait in queue. The lobby has fruit snacks, tea, coffee and breakfast (fried egg / omelette) for free. If you want a relaxed atmosphere, have a TV to watch at any time. And most importantly have services Receive washing at 50 baht per kilo only The service is friendly, because the owner does not have to hire outsiders. Because he wants the guests to be impressed and happy back Sitting and talking to the owner for the reason that he made the hostel is that the owner likes to travel and see the hostel atmosphere that many cities outside So that the atmosphere was made in Chiang Mai, the modern aura, combined with the unique nature of the old building, focusing on maintaining the atmosphere of the original structure to provide a unique and blend of modernity to make it look impressive The hostel also offers free bicycles to allow you to easily travel to Chiang Mai.

Suthinee, Kip and P'Na were a veeeeeery good host. Of the many hostels I've stayed to, Plearn Hostel is one of the best primarily of its host and friendliness. They are very kind to our reasonable requests and was kind enough to drop us on places we need to go to when they are going out as well. Also, they teach you local things to do which I loved cause you really can stay as a local. I loved our stay there! Can't stress it enough :) The place is new and clean. Bikes for use are really free. We really recommend you to stay here. Very homey. Hope to see you in the Philippines dear hosts! :)

Pros -Friendly and accommodating hosts, treat you like FAMILY here -Can order transportation, vehicle rentals, or events packages through the front desk -Included egg/bread/fruit breakfast + kitchen facilities to cook yourself -Free use of their bicycles -High security inside -Cold A/C system -Amazing Value!!!! -Location, you are 2 minute walk from the big Bazaar and 10 minute bike ride from the big Sunday Walking Street Market. Cons -Can see through bed curtains, only provide semi-privacy, should be thicker and light-blocking -Electrical outlets very loose, plugs fall out easily, incl. the lamp at each bed wall

Where to begin, Plearn Hostel is by far the best place we have stayed in throughout our travels of SE Asia. The location is great but you stay here for the staff. The guys are amazing and so helpful. Your made feel welcome from the minute you arrived with a warm smile. They helped us organise our buses and flights from Bangkok and even dropped us off at the bus station. The breakfast is amazing and very filling. I cannot recommended this place enough to everyone. Next time we are in Chaing Mai we will be staying for sure!

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed with. Staffs were very helpful and friendly. Clean facilities. Amazing location (right beside the night bazar street, and the local market with great food is just 5 mins walk away). Free bike rental. Free self-serve breakfast (it's an egg and a toast. The stove is free for use if you want to do some shopping and cooking to save money). Chill and open atmosphere. You can find great travel buddies here, or if you want peace and quiet that's possible too. I felt super safe here as a tiny female, solo traveller. Definitely will come back.

Plearn hostel is incredible! The staff are so friendly and helpful. They recommend great restaurants and activities! The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. The bunk beds are very solid, no squeaky nonsense like in some other hostels. They have huge lockers with locks provided. They offer free breakfast and bike rentals with your stay. The hostel is 50 meters from the night food trailer market and only a very short walk or bike to the old town. I highly recommend the Plearn Hostel for your stay on Chiang Mai.

I chose Plearn hostel because it's the only budget accommodation near night market and halal street. While only staying for one night, I'm end up as happy customers. The place is clean, nicely decorated with pleasant cozy ambience and the most important is their happy and friendly staff - Nut, Kip and their aunt who speak very good English. Their warm hospitality motivate me to stay longer, so i could have more time spend with them. unfortunately my travel schedule doesn't allow it this time. The male dorm is good and comfortable. Bathroom and toilet are clean. Plearn hostel has everything for backpackers traveler. They also provides free bicycles for use around city. I would recommend this place to:- 1. Vegeterian traveler - as there's an indian restaurant with variety of Indian vegeterian dishes just 100m away 2. Muslim traveler - as halal food restaurants and mosque are just 350m away

This is by far the greatest hostel I have ever stayed at! I would rate them 6 stars if it was an option! The hosts are so friendly and cheerful all the time, and they always greet you with a smile. They have free breakfast, which is great! The place is always extremely clean and well decorated! I highly recommend this hostel to anyone in Chiang Mai! The great atmosphere, clean rooms, and location a great reason to pick this hostel, but the hosts are the real reason you should. They are so helpful! They helped me find, negotiate, and purchase a motorbike to travel SE Asia. Without them I would never have been able to figure out all the paperwork and logistics. So thank you everyone at the Plearn! You guys are rad! Oh one last thing! They have free bikes to ride anytime!!! This place is great!

The best hostel I've stayed in for a long time! Staff were so friendly and helpful with offering ideas for activities or places to eat. There was an awesome breakfast provided every single morning of delicious hot eggs and toast.the lady who cooks the eggs in the morning is also very sweet! Fresh fruit, toast, crackers and tea and coffee were available all day in the kitchen. Staff even booked me a grab using their grab code when I was leaving which left for an extremely cheap ride! The place was very very clean while I was there. Definitely one of the best!

I wouldn't even give it 1 star!! 1. The place was so full of mothballs my nose was burning after smelling that the whole night! 2. The receptionist (not sure if it was the owner) seemed nice at first but didn't bother saying good night or good morning the rest of the time. 3. Free breakfast, sure. But it doesn't say anywhere that YOU need to prepare it and clean after. Breakfast includes eggs, old toast and moldy oranges. 4. Toilets were smelly and not clean. All but one shower room had broken hangers. 5. The door to my room was rusty and it was impossible not to wake up every time ppl opened the door (which is a lot when its a dorm!). I booked one week, ended up staying only 3 nights. Couldn't take it anymore!

This hostel is amazing! It is run by 2 sisters who are beyond wonderful. They were unbelievably helpful letting us use their own phones to make local calls, giving us the best cites to visit and answering all our many questions. The hostel itself is cute, always clean and kept cool. The offer free breakfast in a roof top patio and free bikes which are a great way to tour the old part of the city. The hostel is close to the night market that runs every day and the famous Sunday night market. This a great quaint and quite place to stay in Chiang Mai.

Plearn hostel was one of the best hostels I've stayed at in Southeast Asia. The owners are so helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean, spacious (the ladies dorm has its own bathroom) and the beds are solid and comfy. The location in Chiang Mai is good. Nice rooftop area where you can have a breakfast (incl eggs and fresh fruit) and they provide fresh fruit during whole day. The price is more than reasonable for what you get!!

Great hostel. I would recommend booking through Hostelworld. Hostel is in nice quiet location, but is a short walk away from good quality street food and a short Grab or taxi away from all the local attractions. They have bike rentals for free. The owner is nice and friendly. Good vibes here.

Best Hostel I've ever had the chance to set foot into! The staff welcomed me as a member of the family and helped me all over the crazy projects I had for my trip, like buying a motobike and registering it in Chiang Mai :), They kindly wrote residency certificate for me to allow this trip to happen I'll never forget this experience and the kindness of Kip and Naa anty as they are now sort of part of my family. Wherever I am they always try to reach me to make sure I'm alright :) So what to say more than a big thank you and Miss you a lot!!! And thanks for the Khao Niaw Ma-Muang!!!!! It was the best I've ever had so far ;)

Very good hostel. Good staff, willing to help with everything. I was able to print things that I needed from my trip (they didn't charge me). I could pay by card. Water, tea and coffee free all day and night. Blunt breakfast, you can eat as much as you want, you cook. The best thing is that there is free fruit and there is mango !!! Spacious rooms with bathroom inside. There are also bathrooms outside, always clean. The staff leaves at 10 pm but one has a key to enter and leave at night. Exceptional location. 2 minutes walk from the markets. Would come back.

If you come from Chiang Mai, stay here! The best hostel of all. At 20 meters from the night market (street food and live music) and the night bazaar, convenient for the city center and also for the river clubs. Beautiful and comfortable common areas, very good wifi, free bikes and the owners are fantastic, very kind, always smiling and gave me lots of advice on where to go and what to do. The last day they worried a lot because I couldn't find the flight for Bangkok, they helped me look for it, called the taxi (very cheap) and they didn't even want a tip. P s Breakfast on the roof, top!

They say that breakfast closes at eleven haha, then they offer you eggs when you wake up at 1230! It is an awesome hostel. Just be polite and keep your voice low if your hammered in the lobby at 2 in the morning!
