They have young professionals nights, highly recommend! The shows are great and everyone is so friendly.
We had discount tickets and enjoyed an interesting play in an intimate setting. This is an interesting complement to Theater Works and Hartford Stage.
If you're looking for a different scene look no further!
Great theater. Great programming, especially for kids.
High quality productions in a nice community theatre.
Great gem of our community. Always an engaging show. OMG I had to add to my review. I've enjoyed almost everything that comes to the playhouse. For those of you who read this soon Get tickets immediately to In The Heights which I believe runs through the 27th of July. So much fun and so engaging. Well done yet again.
Small, cozy, Playhouse in West Hartford CT. No bad seats. BYOB. Really enjoyed it and will go again.
Awesome play, skillfully presented, intimate theater.
First rate theater, show after show. Hartford's best.
Very friendly n felt welcomed. Family enjoyed the show
Outstanding entertainment for the money.
Really great venue.
A wonderful quaint theater that has a charm about it.
The play "Spamilton" was fabulous and the intimacy of the theatre made our experience at this theatre a lasting memory...can't wait to go back!
Very cozy, comfortable little theater. The production was very well done, very talented performers.
Amazing shows, friendly staff, high quality experience.
When of the best small theaters in the country, all ways put on great plays.
Local treasure. Wonderful actors, great venue. Always top notch performances.
Fantastic show in a great little theater!! We'll be back!!
Saw a phenomenal performance of "In the Heights" It was a perfect small theater which put you right in the action. I look forward to seeing other shows there.
Excellent show, The Revisionist. Quaint theatre with easy street parking. Light refreshments for sale
The play I saw, 'My Name is Asher Lev', was amazing and had incredible actors. The hospitality was great.
While I'm away on military orders, my mother took my wife and infant child on Mother's Day to see a play. She drove down from Boston to see it. 5 minutes in, one of the actresses shamed her for having the nerve to bring our child to the play. Embarrassed, my wife left. To the credit of the remaining staff, they heard the actress, were very apologetic and refunded my wife's ticket before she left. That earned them an extra star. However, she is now sitting at a local restaurant waiting for the play to end so she can enjoy the rest of Mother's Day with my family. 5 stars to Plan B restaurant down the street, by the way.
Just saw Spamilton here. Great show and great little theater.
Saw In The Hights here. High caliber acting and excellent stage production. Very cozy theatre every seat is a great seat! Fun q and a with cast post show!
Professional theater is a plus!! Went to go see The Importance of Being Ernest and it was fabulous! The acting was supreme! Great customer service too!
Just saw "The Complete works of William Shakespeare with 3 friends and it was wonderful! One of the funniest shows I've ever seen. The cast was top rate as was the direction.
This community theater always delivers.
The best small, professional theater in Connecticut.
Wonderful shows and can't beat the intimacy of the place
Intimate setting, great cast, convenient venue to pre play dining.
I went on a field trip with my son and we saw the cat in the hat , is very nice for kids
The two times I've been here have both been very enjoyable. The acting has been quite good.
This place never stops surprising me with the quality and creativity of its productions. The emotional impact of these productions is so enriching. It's truly a gem to have the Playhouse in central Connecticut
My little went on a field trip here. Would have never guess it held so many guests by the look of the outside. Every seat has a great view. Polite staff. Now that I know it's so close we will be taking more trips.
Wonderful theater, I have seen a few plays and they always do a fine job. Parking is a little tough and worth it.
Great small theater, filled with talent in every show.
Amazing theatre, a personal Broadway experience, almost as if you are a part of the show!
Me and my girlfriend enjoyed it a lot. we went to see Th Revolutionist and it was a powerful play. Its very cool how the stage is set in the middle. The lobby is so nicely decorated that I just wanted to stay and chill there.
Very good showing of Curious George and the Golden Meatball! Age appropriate, the children loved it...... And the acting was phenomenal!!!
Excellent comedy show! Loved byob, great way to spend a budget friendly evening in West Hartford!
This is a small theater that doesn't have a bad seat in the house. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking on the street
The best live performance I have ever seen in a small venue. The acting was phenomenal
This place is well known to the locals, but I would say is a Hidden Gem to anyone else. Not only do they offer fantastic shows with intimate seating, but they also have education programs that are exceptional, that range from preschool through adult, for various performance specialties, and all level of talent. The only drawback I could possibly think of is parking at a crowded show can sometimes be difficult.
Wonderful intimate theater. We have been season ticket holders for years.
Love the coziness of this theater and the professionalism of the presentations. Pride and Prejudice was such a fun show!! Parts were absolute hysterical. I'm still smiling!! Thank you POP for all your hard work.
Just saw Spamilton! Great show and terrific little theater. Really not a bad seat.
Only complain I have is the seats so uncomfortable be nice if they have recline seats like the movies with cup holder
Small theater, thoughtful staff, and family friendly.
Fun little theater, all the seats are good; saw the Revolutionists there and it was very well done
Watched the curious George play with my 6 year old class field trip . It was very good . The singing . The actors . The play in general . I laughed a lot .
Watched a performance of Mama D's, which was very well done. The place itself is just OK. The BYOB option takes the rating up to 4 stars.
