ScamMeca has mastered the art of exploiting hard-working dentists. An xray sensor I purchased required some ScamMeca software, priced at around $200. A day later, the price magically became $6452.80 for the SAME PRODUCT since it was purchased from another dentist, and not from one of their overpriced suppliers. Exploitation and sales corruption at its finest, but it is all sunshine and flowers until they get you to sign the paperwork. Profit hungry lethargic corporations like these never last. Good riddance.

I'm an Oral Surgeon in Logan Square, Chicago. I have had exposure (get it?) to many Cone Beam CT units and software packages. I chose the Planmeca ProMax 3D-Mid model for my outpatient practice and am extremely satisfied with all aspects of ownership.
The unit is easy to use and is versatile for both standing and sitting positions. The software is very capable and loaded with features yet user friendly. Lastly, the support staff at Planmeca is top-notch.
I would highly recommend CBCT units from Planmeca!

PLEASE READ THE FINE PRINT WITH THESE CON ARTISTS PLEASE!
Before buying anything, please read the pages of contracts they make dentists sign. Manager does not even handle any complains, they toss it to the person below them on the corporate ladder. I paid TENS OF THOUSANDS OF HARD EARNED DOLLARS for some software and they said I could NOT TRANSFER IT ANYWHERE. NO REFUNDS OR RETURNS EITHER. Then they charge THOUSANDS MORE if you decide to change. Don't fall for it. They are masters of conning hard working dentists. You've been warned.

Have you ever talked to customer service about an issue and then you explain the issue for 20 minutes, and then you get transferred to some other person and they have no idea what is going on so they ask you to explain it again? Planmeca takes that to another level. They are the opposite of a flat and efficient organization. You will be transferred multiple times, you will wait on the line for hours, you will be told that they'll "look into it" and "we'll follow up" and you will receive NOTHING. WEEKS TO RESPOND TO AN EMAIL? WEEKS? I'm taking my business elsewhere to another company that deserves it because SCAMMECA does not.

Great staff and very knowledgeable trainers. A must for Dental products and training.
