10/19/2020 I brought my Nissan Frontier in because the engine light when on. Employee that helped me was professional and informative. I mentioned I received a mailer from Nissan recommending 90,000 miles service and I ask about the 15% off on any service. I was told I'd be taken care of. I left my truck and about an hour later I received a call. The guy helping me said that a repair would be needed. The repair and service maintenance would cost $2,800. It was explained that the repair needs happen as a safety precaution especially if I plan to travel and the service maintenance is well over due. I agreed to the repair and service needed. I picked up my truck and notice that there's still a light on the dashboard, not the engine light but another light. I called guy and I was told to bring my truck in so I did and the technician said that it's nothing concerning and I would be safe to drive. I also asked the guy why I didn't receive the 15% off and was told that the parts and service didn't qualify. That was a bit concerning that I wasn't honored the discount at all. The mailer did say savings on any service. I should have gotten some sort of discount. I spent nearly $2,800. What's the purpose of the mailer I got that came from Planet Nissan when it cannot be honored. When you inspect you inspect... the other light was obvious and who am I to know it's not related to the check engine light. I was not completely satisfied. I don't feel safe driving my truck knowing that there are still problems. I plan to go to a different dealership in the future for any service. Consider reporting a complaint through the BBB. Thanks!
