This is just about the best place you can go from gourmet pizza. It's on par with Tony's with a little bit different flair. Really love it and I try to get in there at least once a month

Food is great although on the pricier side. Staff are excellent. Parking was okay; more crowded than I expected for a Tuesday but not too far a walk.
Imaginative concept matched by the menu. fresh ingredients raise the standard for pizza.
Decor is beautiful, but food is terrible. Poor quality ingredients (canned olives on pizza) and poorly put together (pizza was slathered in fig jam and tasted like toast). Atmosphere is beautiful--too bad about the food!
Always delicious pizza at Pizza by Elizabeth s (the Davis is the best) and my favorite salad is the Spinach Salad...really enjoy all the walnuts, bacon and mandarin oranges that are in it, in addition to, blue cheese crumbles and egg:). Love all of their dips to go with the breadsticks, especially the roasted peppers, mushroom duxelles and honey dijon. The Lavender Lemon Drop Martini is such a refreshing delight!!
Very high class feeling for a pizza joint, with prices to match. Food is good overall, very "artisanal" ingredient selections and offerings, and great views of the mall.
Great pizza, great service, and with live jazz on Sundays. Great atmosphere.
Looks a bit dated inside but the food is delicious. The portions are also big.
Great pizza selection with interesting combinations of ingredients. Gluten free crust is a plus. Tried the Saint which was just the right blend of crab and cheeses. We will definitely be back.
Live jazz. Lovely bar. Good atmosphere. Enjoyable theme/decor. Good service. Great pizza.
Very different atmosphere, more like an elegant place to get pizza and good conversation
We walked in with our two children and the hostesses turned their backs and had a conversation we stood their for more than a few minutes until my wife asked if they saw us and were ignoring us. The two girls were more interested in themselves than helping us. Finally they told us it would be 5 minutes for a table, did not take our name, were not friendly or helpful. Restaurant is pretentious and overpriced and the workers are rude.
Good place to bring family for a brunch or dinner. The food is on the tasty ,but expensive side ( not your typical neighborhood pizza joint) , good bar. The service on the other side is not always stellar. Ladies acting like they doing you favor by giving you a table, and waiters sometimes look like they just ran a 100 miles and have nothing left for you and me. May be , I just came in busy times, but this is just my humble opinion. A simple smile and a friendly conversation can smooth out the long waits and minor hiccups.
Great food and cute setup. Waitress overheard that we were celebrating my birthday and put a candle in the dessert we ordered! It speaks volumes when someone goes that extra step to make something special! The pizza is unique in a good way and the hummus appetizer was a fantastic way to start the meal. Got three different deserts at the table and all three were delicious!
Neat place. Old Hollywood photos. Full menu including pizza and small plates. Good cocktails.
Beautiful place with delicious food offerings. Sometimes the pizza comes out less than ideal and ingredients could be better, but the majority of the time it's fine.
I really like my crab pretzel . But the problem was it was so creamy that I couldn't enjoy the Queen I ordered because it also had a very heavy cream base. I much preferred the meatball Pizza because the red base was not as heavy. Something to consider when ordering both the appetizer and a pizza
Great varieties and always a fresh "Specials" menu. Pizza is a delicious and unique experience. Land & Sea salad is my favorite and the dressing is ridiculously yummy! PbE seasonal brews are always well done and tasty! Atmosphere is gorgeous. Prices are reasonable and staff is usually pretty attentive. Great job!
Really cool atmosphere, especially the outdoor seating. Great pizza.
This place looked so good but disappointed beyond belief my daughter got chicken that was so cold and hard we could not cut it with a knife pizza also came out cold even though we were 20 feet from the oven. Waiter could care less. Last time here.
Place was great. Kind staff. I've been playing piano for over a decade now, and they have a piano in the front of the restaurant near the bar. I asked if I could play, they said yes. I unwittingly played for two hours straight. Not only did the staff allow me to play that long, but I even got a few compliments on the way out.
The barkeep was super. It is a bit pricey. The mini cheeseburger pizza (daily special) was good. The sangria was tart! Parking a chore. But I was treating myself ....
Loved this place. This is what CPK wishes it could be!
Great food, and great service. Awesome for happy hour.
Husband and I spent the day at the Brandwine River Museum and Longwood Gardens to celebrate the holidays. We decided to head to Elizabeth's on our way home. I had been there before with my sister and girl cousins, and had a good "girlish" time, because of the "Elizabeth" theme.
We were seated immediately. Ben was our efficient, friendly, attentive waiter. We had a bottle of wine, shared a spinach salad, and ordered two pizzas. It is really more like flatbread style pizza, as the crust is crispier, but it is cooked in a wood fired oven. We had the Elizabeth Taylor, and the Elizabeth Shannon. Both were very tasty, my husband preferred the Taylor because of the sundried tomatoes, goat cheese, and olives. The Shannon had fig jam, with prosciutto, gorgonzola and scallions. It was a little too sweet for his taste. It would have been better with some arugula on top to cut the sweetness, or in season, sliced figs.
Very airy and attractive restaurant. Mixed crowd of people, young adults, couples, family groups. A little pricy, but you pay for the decor and the service. Nice place to have dinner at the end of our holiday visit to the area.
Lovely lunch atmosphere in this bright and open restaurant. Service was very good, as was the food, especially the whiskey butter cake!! Yum
Very good artisanal pizza, everything from interpretations of classics to avant-garde offerings, a very good bar, and drinks menu.
Awesome Pizza Restaurant. Upscale and fresh. Spoiler alert : Little dessert when you get the check
Good but not great pizza. Beer offerings are very poor, wine list is much better. The space itself is really what makes PBE stand out from the rest with interesting decor perfect for a cheap date night with your significant other.
Beautiful atmosphere, and I love their fruit and walnut salad, but WHYYYY is the pizza always cold? There is no pride in their namesake food item. Don't get any of the pizzas with prosciutto - they slice it too thick and it tastes like Lunchable meat.
Great selection of menu items, not just pizza! Prices were responsible.
Wonderful restaurant. I enjoyed a spicy fish entree. For dessert we split a slice of Kentucky butter cake, oh, so good.
Place was packed and we were shoved in the back at a folding table after waiting over an hour.
Great food every time I've gone. The pizza is to die for. When you get your check, it comes with some homemade toffee that you can purchase a bag of near the door. A little pricey, and sometimes very long waiting -times, but all-around worth it.
Has always been a delaware & Family favorite. Nestled perfectly into Greenville s shopping district, PBE is a great place for any occasion with fair prices and amazing seasonal specials. My birthday place of choice year in & out.
Tried the salads and burger - very good. Pizza is always great, but glad I went to the non-pizza items
Max was a great server! Summer sangria was excellent. Fruit salad was wonderful. Cheesesteak pizza was ok. Will be back!
This was a welcome treat! The ambiance and interior was so pretty and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely a nice place to take a lady. The staff were friendly and the food came fast. We ordered pizza and it was delicious, it was healthier then most pizza and the ingredients definitely tasted fresh. The price wasn t bad either.
This restaurant offers organic and gluten free items. I ordered a custom salad and it was excellent. The buffalo chicken dip was great as well.
Great place, fantastic service, pizzas are amazing (go with the Saint) and always busy, but not annoyingly so.
As you walk in you think you're in a fine dining establishment and this could not be a pizzeria. The pizza is out of this world.
3 dairy free cheeses, yep. I will say that I wish they had like a vegan sausage or pepperoni, but still have plenty of veggie options like Mushrooms & eggplant!
Pizza by Elizabeths always has great pizza, and a reasonable selection of beverages. It feels upscale without being ridiculously expensive. It has established itself as our family's go to place for a nice night out and always delivers. It can get busy and walking in at dinnertime you should usually expect a little bit of a wait. The homemade candy they give you with your check is fantastic!
Great for every day. Horrible for an event - and don't trust them with your cake.
Julie was our planner. She was incredible. We felt very confident that our event would be as good as the standard service we typically receive on any given day at this place.
Things were done incorrectly, the planner was not there, and the waiter and manager reminded us of that and blamed the planner for the issues; they were not accommodating to correct course.
The red velvet cake was stale; probably the only piece of cake I have not finished in my lifetime; it was that bad.
The rest of the food was great.
We booked a reservation for a party of 20 to celebrate my newborn daughter's christening (an extremely significant event) on 02 December 2018. My wife first contacted Pizza by Elizabeth to make the reservation back in early October and was told a manager would have to do the booking and would give her a call back that same day. She never received a call back, yet due to her interest in hosting the reception at Pizza by Elizabeth, my wife called again a week later. This time she was able to speak to a manager and get the reservation on the books (and proceeded to name Pizza by Elizabeth as the reception location on our formal invitations). We called twice to confirm the reservation (last confirmation was on 28 November, five days prior to the event). When we arrived to the restaurant on Sunday, the staff said they did not have any reservation for us scheduled. Frustrated, my wife explained that we did have a reservation and that it had been booked a few months prior. The manager on duty argued with her that there was no reservation and that my wife clearly did not make one. She stated that if my wife had made a reservation then it would be in the system, which it was not. She told my wife that she must have called and made a reservation at a similar restaurant down in North Carolina by mistake. Insulted, my wife insisted that she did not make that mistake as she is well aware of the phone number to Pizza by Elizabeth. After several attempts to relay to the manager that we did indeed book a reservation, we showed her our phone record to prove we had called the correct restaurant. She then realized we were not being dishonest and did some research. Twenty-five minutes after our original reservation time, we had all of our party (including eight senior citizens and my wife's sister who had to leave at 3:30 for the airport) in the lobby waiting to hear if the staff would be able to accommodate us. As we were debating on whether to just leave and go elsewhere, the manager informed us that an error had indeed been made by Pizza by Elizabeth and that she had found our reservation in the system for 02 December 2019 (one year from now). She then explained that she could try and put some tables together in the lobby area if we'd like to fit our party. The staff then spent the next 25 minutes getting an impromptu setup for our group.
Around 3pm (about an hour after our twice confirmed time) we were seated and were able to start our meal. Unfortunately, the hour delay resulted in two members of our partying having to leave to make their flights before the main course was served (and missing out on cake entirely).
Before we asked for the check, the on-duty manager explained that she had removed some of the charges to express her apologies. The bill was $506 (before gratuity), so for a blunder like this I was expecting a significant discount, especially seeing as all of my guests were inconvenienced (embarrassing myself and my wife). I was surprised to see that the manager's discount for Pizza by Elizabeth's mistake was a measly removal of three appetizers from the bill (equaling $42) and no plate fee for the cake we brought in (which we should not have been charged for to begin with seeing as no one ever told my wife about a cake fee when she originally booked the reservation).
Here are my chief complaints with Pizza by Elizabeth:
* They incorrectly scheduled our reservation. I'm all about prior planning, but why would we schedule a luncheon 14 months in advance for December 02, 2019? We called and confirmed this reservation twice (phone records to prove it) and each manager we spoke with overlooked this.
* Upon showing up for our reservation, the manager on duty initially stated that we didn't have a reservation and insinuated to us (in front of our guests) that we were being untruthful about booking one.
* After doing some research and realizing the scheduling mistake, the manager offered a pathetic financial compensation for the blunder (a whopping 8% off the total bill if you do the math).
Service staff is friendly and efficient. Pizza was delicious. We will be back soon.
Great salads and specialty pizzas. Just a bit pricey and the four stars.
I have no idea how I lived in Wilmington for so long and didn't know about this place. Great food, beautiful restaurant, and very nice staff.
Incredible atmosphere and delicious thin crust pizza. Looking forward to our next visit!
Overpriced. Don't like their food but maybe the pizza is good???
Food and service was very good. Gluten free selection was good
...always exemplary, always wonderful. The Cream of Tomato is perfectly spiced...
I was picking up my car from Diver Chevy about dinner time and decided to try out some place different for a change. My wife and I are always looking for a good pizza and we happened to see the sign from the road. I am so glad we did. We very much enjoyed the food, service and decor. I had the chicken BBQ which I thought was amazing. We also had a build your own pepperoni and black olive pizza. This was plenty of food on it's own but we decided to see the desert menu and picked the Kentucky butter cake. While I am used to the bourbon variety, this was a delicious cake. Thanks for a pleasant evening.
I have been in before and the land and sea salad was great! This time I bought it to go. It was not good. The shrimp were tiny and the steak was horrible. It was thin, over cooked and very tough. I couldn't eat it. Hope they improve this.
This is a nice pizza place with several options which alternatives to just pizza .
The pizza itself is cooked well and prices are reasonable. There is limited to no outdoor seating but indoors there is enough space for large groups although would have to arrange ahead.
They also have several imported beer options but their cocktail and bar menu is limited otherwise .
Great atmosphere and the shrimp tacos were delicious!
Wanted to enjoy my first visit but was unfortunately let down with the wait time (over 1 hour) when we were told 35 minutes. We had to leave because although I would have loved to enjoy the couch in the waiting area for the entire night, we had a movie to catch and had enough with being told we were next to be seated while we watched the local 1%ers walk in and get immediately seated without a reservation.
Excellent pizza, a very unique selection of food offerings, which I can't wait to try more of. Great place for a date, or a cozy bite to eat. Very affordable, and amazing dessert! I would highly recommend for anyone looking to try something new.
Great Wines to compliment any meal..Sit at the Bar..Excellent Bartender
Pizza was unique and tasty. Liked the wheat crust. Lovely ambience
Pizza was great! Lots of unique choices. It is a little pricey though.
Beautiful restaurant I ordered a pizza and salad the salad was good but the pizza wasn't great
Good food, great ambiance, nice selection of beers and drinks :)
Good American "fancy" pizza. Avoid the chicken pizzas. The chicken tastes precooked and microwaved or out of a bag. Awesome wine.
A great place for delicious gourmet pizza and drinks. Even the potato soup was outstanding. I got completely stuffed and loved every bite. The decor is fun and chic. A great place for a date!
Food excellent. Service excellent. Atmosphere excellent. All in all, it was excellent
Love, love, love this place!! The food is unbelievable, and not just the elegant pizzas! A little pricier, but worth it. Great adult place, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend for kids. Parking is a bit of a problem.
Pizza and salads are so good...try the seafood salad and the pomegranate monitor...so so good!!!
Loved this place! Love the vintage feel and the food was amazing! We each got a different dessert and they were all delicious!!
