Good pizza. Watch out for the extra cheese, it's more than you realize.
Good pizza. Watch out for the extra cheese, it's more than you realize.
Not as good as in the 90's but still quite enjoyable.
It's a great stop for a good meal. You definitely get your money's worth here. Milkshakes and calzones are always a great choice.
Still the same dive with delicious milkshakes as it was 30 years ago.
Good chipati salad and dressing. Small place not much room to eat in. Also still uses Styrofoam..
Pizza Bobs is a UM staple, great subs, great milkshakes, still my favorite stop 30 years after college!
Amazing .... My uncle just passed today! And i decided to grab some food before leaving to head home. I grew up in Ann Arbor so i know the food shops quite well. Thanks for cheering me up on a crummy day!
Great shakes and malts. Great stop if you are in Ann Arbor.
Overall, Pizza Bob's isn't a bad place. The reason I give it 3 stars is because the seating is really limited, you can't rely on getting a seat here during a remotely peak time. Additionally, I just think there are better places in Ann Arbor for less money if you are getting delivery.
If you find yourself here, you'll probably have a good time, but I would recommend elsewhere if you have the time to go a littler further.
Excellent food. I love the chapati. I come here at least once every time I visit Ann Arbor.
The SUPER sub is what brings me back. Meaty with a kick of hot sauce.
Food is good, delivery is good, the staff needs some work. And they need drivers. How can you run a pizza place and not have drivers?
Gotta love a perfect greasy drunk pizza. Thanks Pizza Bob's!
Late delivery and it was cold. Dude had a broken foot and didnt leave his car. Way over priced. This little salad was $5.49. Plus they charged be $1.29 for dressing. Wow!! Ill be here for a month. Someone please recommend a good delivery place
Subpar pizza and extremely poor service. The crust tasted like that of a frozen pizza that you would buy from a grocery store, soggy and floppy, not dense and chewy like a real pizza dough. My pizza was cold and the cheese was hardened, because when I went to pick it up, I waited for 20 minutes before I was even acknowledged by an employee. My pizza was ready and sitting on the counter for 20 minutes getting cold while the employees ignored me. There was an 8-10 year old boy working the register and one woman working the kitchen. When he gave me my pizza, the boy didn't ask for payment and probably would've let me walk out with a free pizza if I didn't insist on paying. After paying, he left my card in the card reader while he went to do something else and didn't give it back to me until I asked for it. I guess you can't expect much from a place that sells $14 large pizzas, but if you don't mind poor quality and service, this is your spot.
Pizza Bob's has great shakes and great service fun place to go
Have been a customer for years, many, many years. Have stuck with them as quality went up and down a bit but generally acceptable to good. The most ridiculous situation is leading me to never eat here again. I had ordered a Chipati with an extra dressing for pick-up. I discovered when I got home that they charged me for the second dressing but did not include it in my order. I was not going to drive back or have them deliver a dressing so decided to just ask for a replacement at no charge the next time I ordered (one or two weeks later maximum). At that time the manager advised that they would not remedy the situation and would not provide another dressing this time at no cost. The money is not of consequence but the principle is. So, I went over the Pizza House and got one of their Chipati's. Yummy, satisfying dinner with more varieties anyway. So long Pizza Bob's. Really poor management decision.
I paid $1 extra for another topping and there was practically nothing. The saddest pizza I've ever seen (I posted a photo on the pictures section). If I wasn't so hungry I would have demanded a refund
The pizza is AWESOME next time I'm trying the salad pita thing.
Plastic cheese with the texture of sting cheese, generic can toppings and sauce, and a crust like a stale cracker that makes your teeth hurt just to bite through it. And on top of all of that, they prepared my order wrong, and then DID NOT replace it. Do yourself a favor and pick another pizza, this one is likely to be the worst in Ann Arbor. Seriously, just pick the next one down the list, you'll be happier. This is worse than papa John's. This is worse than frozen honestly.
Refer to Jerry Allen's review, particularly the owner response. Stay away from these terrible, vengeful, sarcastic, tempermental, rude business owners.
Chipati. That is all that needs to be said. #goblue
This place is a joke under cook my sub got me sick for the day they should really shut this place down it s dirty and filthy
I wanted to let you know about the great service my family received over the weekend especially by Michelle. We live in Chicago and came to visit our son who goes to U of M. My husband and I went to U of M many years ago and Pizza Bobs has always been a staple when we come back to visit. Sometimes it's the only food we eat when we are in Ann Arbor. We stopped in on Friday night for dinner. Our service was some of the best we've had there in a long time. Our food order is a bit complicated with all of the modifications we want and there wasn't a single mistake made. Michelle gave us a little bit of history we didn't know and talked with us while we ate our meal. On Saturday we ordered delivery to our hotel for lunch and when I told Michelle my name over the phone she remembered the entire order and the person it went with and wrote the name of the person it went with on the box. I was very impressed with the service my family received and can't wait to come back the next time we visit our son!
Thanks again!!
Very rude lady behind the counter treated me and my friend like scum. Very disappointed in her behavior and hope she can improve herself for others.
So I had a customer a couple weeks ago that turned me on to this place. Oh... My... Goodness! I can't believe I have been in Ann Arbor area my whole life and never knew about this place. I have had the Cipopeye on wheat twice. Second time I ordered it with the Chipati sauce. I liked it both ways but the Chipati sauce makes that Chipopeye pop! The owner delivered my food today and she was so sweet.
I can't wait for it to warm up so I can try the shakes.
This is place is going into rotation as a regular lunch stop!!!!
I mean it's just a college spot. You go for some vibes and semi-decent food. The milkshakes are the best though. You can always mix and match the different flavors of milkshakes to fit your mood.
Ohio State grad that's been here many times. It's the only good thing on or near campus.
Hard to find a good whole wheat crust pizza these days! Bob's has always been great!
Really good pizza, friendly service, will be back next time we're in town
BEST. SHAKES. EVER. My husband grew up going to Pizza Bobs for shakes, and when we lived in Ann Arbor we went probably 2x a month. SO tasty and so many flavors to mix and match! We moved to Colorado and we STILL talk about Pizza Bobs as the best place for shakes, hands down. :) We will definitely be stopping by here again when we're in town.
I wish I could give 6 stars . Small family run place. The food is great. I especially love the subs. It is the kid's favorite pizza. My friends usually get the shakes any time the deserve a treat.
The shakes and pizza are some of the best in Ann Arbor. Pro tip: ask for the Pizza Bob s special hot sauce to dip your crust in! Service is always friendly and accommodating. Prices are reasonable for a food joint smack dab in the middle State and Packard. Delivery is free!!! A great place to stop by after a football or basketball game! If Ben Simon is working, ask about the secret menu. Dirty Meatball (extra dirty) is my go to!
Good food, good prices.. Terrible parking, but that isn't their fault.
Love the chapati & chapopeye. Rest of the menu is good, too. Everything I've ordered here (for 35+ years) has been delicious.
Old Ann Arbor mainstay that continues to be great. Amazing milkshakes, pizza, and subs. I haven't had anything else on the menu but there are other things there too. Delivery is fast and free. It's my go-to when I need a quick pizza. The crust is amazing!
Amazing service especially during a large celebration! Pizza was amazing and loved the environment
I went here regularly from 1969 - 1972. My favorite was the Hawaiian Pizza.
Went back about 20 years ago - still good pizza.
Best I've ever had. Glad to see it's still around.
30 years later, nothing has changed, and that's the best part!
I did not care for the pizza; small pepperoni. The cheese bread and pizza sauce however, was amazing.
Amazing experience. Wonderful ambiance. The music really augments the experience. Order the chipati with only lettuce.
This place is pretty good, the people are kind, and the food is alright.
I've been visiting Pizza Bobs since 1975 and I love that everything I love about it has not changed in 44 years. Classic 'hole in the wall' with pizza, subs, calzones and the wonderful, delightful, always pleasing, Chips to, a salad in a pits. If you have never had one, please treat yourself and try one. I ordered a 'Super' and here's the photo.
Best chipatis. Recommend paying 75 cents more for extra lettuce
I've never actually had pizza here but it's a great place for a good milk shake. I get cherry chocolate chip. This place's been here for a long time!
